Speaker 2: just sound incredible. That is really really good.
Speaker 5: Thanks so much, guys.
Speaker 2: Absolutely, if you're just joining us, we have the twos
Speaker 2: here with us, We have Emma and Philippe and just
Speaker 2: sounding incredible. How long has this project existed the twos?
Speaker 8: Not very long really, probably like June of last year.
Speaker 2: Oh okay, okay. And how many developments and how many
Speaker 2: songs do you know together that you played again?
Speaker 5: We've we've played a couple three hour shows.
Speaker 7: Not a couple, actually more than a couple. Yeah, we've
Speaker 7: played a lot of three hour shows. Yeah, so yeah,
Speaker 7: we have enough material for about three hours, like thirty
Speaker 7: thirty five songs together.
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, at least.
Speaker 5: Yeah, it's good too, like we.
Speaker 7: Grew up listening to the same music and learning the
Speaker 7: same songs. Yeah, it kind of just like morphed into
Speaker 7: something like, oh you know that song, too cool, let's
Speaker 7: play it together and then like a friend of the devil,
Speaker 7: for instance, the one we just played is like we
Speaker 7: both knew it and then played it together and here
Speaker 7: we are.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, no, that's excellent. Now have you have you
Speaker 2: worked on any original music together or are you just
Speaker 2: doing the covers for now or.
Speaker 5: Just the covers for now?
Speaker 7: We're doing one of my original songs from before, which
Speaker 7: is called Harlem Blues. We're gonna play that a little later.
Speaker 2: Oh cool.
Speaker 7: That's the only original song we've done so far. But
Speaker 7: we're working on some stuff.
Speaker 2: Okay, okay, very cool. Yeah. Now, so obviously Emma you
Speaker 2: have veils En, yes, and then Felipe is glitter Tooth
Speaker 2: still going strong too? Or correct?
Speaker 5: We actually just released an EP.
Speaker 2: Oh cool? Okay, I did not realize.
Speaker 7: That came out on Valentine's Day because we love you
Speaker 7: all so much. Oh, yes, that would be wonderful.
Speaker 2: Yeah, we gotta do that. We gotta do that. Now,
Speaker 2: how often are is the two's playing? Are you doing
Speaker 2: a lot of shows?
Speaker 12: We've been consistently, I'd say like twice a month playing
Speaker 12: for the past like six months.
Speaker 2: I'd say, okay, okay, yeah.
Speaker 5: Yeah, it's picking up definitely pretty good.
Speaker 10: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Now do you ever does one of you ever bring
Speaker 2: a song to the other where you kind of go,
Speaker 2: She's I don't know about that one and you have
Speaker 2: to convince Is there ever any convincing or does it all.
Speaker 5: Just absolutely I just do whatever she told you, right right?
Speaker 7: No, But yeah, of course there are songs where it's
Speaker 7: like that's a little out of my vocal rang really
Speaker 7: like yeah, like you know, I don't know if I
Speaker 7: can play that on the guitar.
Speaker 5: It's a little too intense.
Speaker 2: Or yeah, so it happens. But uh, what about anything challenging, Like,
Speaker 2: is there is there anything that you've tried to learn
Speaker 2: to play together where it just really kind of was was.
Speaker 5: Was difficult or I'm trying to think.
Speaker 2: I mean, if not, I guess that's it.
Speaker 8: Regardless.
Speaker 12: Yeah, he's definitely a little more skilled on the guitar
Speaker 12: than I am. Has to like dumb it down in
Speaker 12: a way.
Speaker 5: It was going to California.
Speaker 7: That was one where I had to sit and watch
Speaker 7: the Marty Schwartz YouTube videos trying to learn how to
Speaker 7: play the thing in a different tuning and get the
Speaker 7: finger picking and stuff. So that was probably like the
Speaker 7: most And we don't even play that much anymore.
Speaker 5: Yeah, so that was one.
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, And where do you uh, where do you
Speaker 2: play out? You do you travel around?
Speaker 12: So we started out playing so we're from Milford, New Hampshire,
Speaker 12: and we started playing out like in Henniker and Dairy
Speaker 12: and a spot up in Lincoln, New Hampshire. But the
Speaker 12: past couple months we've been playing a little closer to home,
Speaker 12: which is nice, so around the Milford area.
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's part in winter. It's nice to not have
Speaker 2: to stray too far. Unpredictable, no doubt, no doubt. Well
Speaker 2: I'm dying to hear another one. You want to play
Speaker 2: another one, let's do it.
Speaker 5: I'd love to. All right, we're gonna play out La
Speaker 5: La by the Faces.
Speaker 2: Oh very cool. If you're just joining us to the
Speaker 2: twos live in studio.
Speaker 7: Poor old Granddad laughed at all his words. I thought
Speaker 7: he was a bitter man. Spoke of woman's wall or
Speaker 7: trap you use you for?
Speaker 3: You even know?
Speaker 6: Love is blind and you're far too kind. Don't ever
Speaker 6: let show.
Speaker 11: I wish that I knew how to know now when
Speaker 11: I was younger. I wish that I knew what to
Speaker 11: know now when I was stronger.
Speaker 5: Can can such a pretty show?
Speaker 11: That's steal your heart away? Stage back on earth again.
Speaker 5: The dressing rooms.
Speaker 6: Agreed to come on strong, and it ain't too long
Speaker 6: before they make you.
Speaker 9: Feel a man.
Speaker 11: Love is blind, and you soon will find that you're
Speaker 11: just a boy. I wish that I knew how to
Speaker 11: know now when I was younger. I wish that I
Speaker 11: knew what to know now when I was stronger. I
Speaker 11: wish that I knew what to know now when I
Speaker 11: was younger. I wish that I knew how to know
Speaker 11: now when I was younger.
Speaker 7: When you want her lips, get her cheek, makes you
Speaker 7: wonder where you are?
Speaker 6: You want some more.
Speaker 7: Fast asleep She'll leave be twinkling with the stars For
Speaker 7: young grandson.
Speaker 6: Nothing I could see. You have to learn just like me.
Speaker 6: That's the hardest.
Speaker 11: Sweet ula la ah lolla, love love wish that I
Speaker 11: knew what to know now when I was younger? Is
Speaker 11: that I knew to know now when I was stronger?
Speaker 11: Is that I knew what to know now when I
Speaker 11: was younger?
Speaker 6: Is that I knew what do know?
Speaker 13: No?
Speaker 6: When I was stronger?
Speaker 2: Oh? Very nice, very nice. The Two's live in studio
Speaker 2: on this Saturday morning. Uh No, that was that was fantastic.
Speaker 2: Any anything, uh anything that that was hard to hard
Speaker 2: to remember? The lyrics you do? Any you do any
Speaker 2: songs that are particularly wordy?
Speaker 12: Yeah, I'd say come Home by Edward Sharp and the
Speaker 12: Magnetic Zeros. That's a tough one. It's a long one,
Speaker 12: lots of verses.
Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, it's pretty crazy.
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no doubt that's when it sticks out. Yeah.
Speaker 2: How many? How many songs do you know together?
Speaker 5: Oh?
Speaker 2: Did we talk about that earlier?
Speaker 14: Really?
Speaker 6: Yeah?
Speaker 5: Like thirty?
Speaker 8: I say probably more than that. We swap out a lot,
Speaker 8: so probably more.
Speaker 2: Do you have a you have kind of a goal
Speaker 2: in mind as far as how many you want to
Speaker 2: have in your you know available?
Speaker 12: We just kind of keep it running. Yeah, we keep
Speaker 12: a running list going of songs we want to learn.
Speaker 12: We have a little notes app we share together, so
Speaker 12: we'll just kind of add to it as we think
Speaker 12: of songs, and then we want to learn new songs,
Speaker 12: we chip away at them.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 7: Like I'll be at work and just like hear a
Speaker 7: song on Spotify or something and just add it to
Speaker 7: the little note thing.
Speaker 14: Yeah.
Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll get a text like, oh cool.
Speaker 14: Like.
Speaker 2: Do you do anything that's kind of obscure that that
Speaker 2: maybe maybe when you play it out people don't necessarily
Speaker 2: know it's a.
Speaker 5: Probably ghost, Yeah, i'd say that.
Speaker 12: Or maybe Shovels and Rope. That's some of that music
Speaker 12: because a lot of people don't know them, so they
Speaker 12: play that. Yeah, Shovels and Rope. It's a husband and
Speaker 12: wife duo. I don't know where they're from, but I
Speaker 12: don't want to go check them out. They're really good
Speaker 12: and crush it down definitely from Yeah, they like swap instruments.
Speaker 12: The play like the drums and he'll play the guitar
Speaker 12: and then they'll swap around and they're really cool duo.
Speaker 2: Oh very cool. Yeah, yeah, you want to play another one,
Speaker 2: let's do I'd love to. All right, awesome if you're
Speaker 2: just joining us. We have the two's, We have Emma

Speaker 2: have you guys play some more. The twos are here
Speaker 2: with us live in studio. But check this out. This
Speaker 2: is uh, this is from Veil's End, and this is

Speaker 2: That is rain Drops. The band is Veil's End and
Speaker 2: they were here with us a couple of weeks ago
Speaker 2: and we played that for the first time here on
Speaker 2: the air and love that song. And we have Emma
Speaker 2: from Veil's End here, and we have Philip from Glitter
Speaker 2: Tooth but together they are the twos And we were
Speaker 2: talking about we're gonna play at the end of the

Speaker 5: Yeah, we'd love to.
Speaker 7: We're gonna play a song that's become slightly popular recently. Okay,
Speaker 7: so I've heard this guy, Noah Khan. People uh seem
Speaker 7: to find interest in him.
Speaker 2: The reason I'm laughing is so I had never heard
Speaker 2: of Noa Khan until today.
Speaker 5: But but then, are you kidding me?
Speaker 2: I'm not kidding you. I had no idea who no
Speaker 2: And this is bizarre. Idea who It's bizarre. I had
Speaker 2: no idea who Noa Khan was until kat Ivy, who
Speaker 2: was our hour number two guest today, mentioned Noah Khan
Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh, I don't know who that is.
Speaker 2: And then she's telling us all about Noa Kan and
Speaker 2: I'm like, how do I not know who this is?
Speaker 2: But I had no idea who Noa Khan was.
Speaker 5: Did she cover him?
Speaker 2: She didn't play live? Okay, cool, she brought her guitar.
Speaker 5: I'm just worried we're gonna play the same song.
Speaker 2: Oh no, I wouldn't worry. I wouldn't worry about it.
Speaker 2: But but but yeah, that was so weird. So this
Speaker 2: is uh one of those synchronicities. We talk about it,
Speaker 2: but uh yeah, very cool.
Speaker 5: All right, all right, so this is stick Season by
Speaker 5: Noah con.
Speaker 11: As you promised me that I was more than all
Speaker 11: the masks combined, you must have had yourself a change
Speaker 11: of heart, like halfway through the drive, because your voice
Speaker 11: trailed off exactly as you'd passed my exit sign, kept
Speaker 11: on driving straight, left our future to the right. Now,
Speaker 11: I stuck between my anger and the blame that I
Speaker 11: can't face and my memories or something even smoking weed
Speaker 11: does not replace.
Speaker 5: I'm terrified of weather.
Speaker 7: I see you and it rains.
Speaker 11: Doc told me to travel, but there's COVID on the planeans.
Speaker 6: And I love her mom, but it's the season of
Speaker 6: the sticks.
Speaker 15: And now saw your mom.
Speaker 6: She forgot that I existed. And it's half my fault
Speaker 6: that I just like to play the victim. A drink
Speaker 6: alcohol hal.
Speaker 11: Till my friends come month for Christmas, and I'll dream
Speaker 11: each night have some version of you that I might
Speaker 11: not have, but I.
Speaker 14: Did not lose.
Speaker 6: Now your tire tracks.
Speaker 14: And one pair of shoes, and I'm split in half.
Speaker 11: That'll have to do.
Speaker 7: So. I thought that if I piled something good on
Speaker 7: all my bad that I could cancel out the darkness
Speaker 7: I inherited from Dad.
Speaker 11: Noil no longer funny because I miss the way you laugh.
Speaker 11: Once called me forever, Now you still won't call me back.
Speaker 6: And I love her mom, But it's the season of
Speaker 6: the sticks. Now saw your mom. She forgot that I existed.
Speaker 10: In it's half my fault, but.
Speaker 6: I just like to play the thick to to my
Speaker 6: drink alcohol halt.
Speaker 11: Till my friends come on for Christmas, and I'll dream
Speaker 11: each night of some version of you that I.
Speaker 3: Might not have. But I did not lose.
Speaker 6: Now your tire.
Speaker 11: Tracks and one their shoes, and I'm spitting half.
Speaker 6: That'll have to do. Oh that'll help to do my
Speaker 6: other help?
Speaker 11: Was you? I hopeless pages fast and through, but I doubt.
Speaker 6: And I love her mom, But it's the season of
Speaker 6: the sticks. And I saw your mom.
Speaker 11: She forgot that I existed, and it's half my fault.
Speaker 11: But I just like to play the victim. I'll drink
Speaker 11: alcohol till my friends come home for Christmas.
Speaker 6: And I'll dream each night of some vision in you
Speaker 6: that I might not have, but I did not lose.
Speaker 11: Now your tire tracks and one their shoes and I'm.
Speaker 6: Stit in half lettle have to do.
Speaker 2: Outstanding, outstanding. That is the twos.
Speaker 5: What is that song called stick Season?
Speaker 2: Stick Season?

Speaker 2: Yeah, well that's so that's what Yeah, well kat Ivy, Yeah,
Speaker 2: when she mentioned on Acon she was saying that that
Speaker 2: he writes a lot about Vermont and New Hampshire. So
Speaker 2: I was like, Oh, that's old.
Speaker 7: Vermont boy, which is why it's so awesome to see him,
Speaker 7: like he played a sold out show at Fenway.
Speaker 5: Recently, No kidding, Wow, he's yeah, he's crushing it.
Speaker 2: Apparently he's usually successful and we didn't know about him.
Speaker 2: It's so weird if you are just joining us out.
Speaker 2: We do have the twos here on this Saturday morning,
