Speaker 3: Coming, Good morning everybody, Welcome, Here we go again. It
Speaker 3: is that time Matt Connorton unleashed and we are live
Speaker 3: from the studios of w m n H ninety five
Speaker 3: point three FM Glorious Manchester, New Hampshire. Streaming worldwide of
Speaker 3: course at Matt connorton dot com slash live, where you
Speaker 3: can find all the info about the show, about where
Speaker 3: you can stream it and how to contact us, and
Speaker 3: live streaming options, social media links, et cetera, et cetera.
Speaker 3: Today is Saturday May thirty one, twenty twenty five, and
Speaker 3: I am not alone. Good morning, Sunshine. Yes, Jenny is
Speaker 3: here at the news table and we have an exciting
Speaker 3: show for you. By the way, we opened with the
Speaker 3: brand new track from Cosmic Blossom, which I think just
Speaker 3: became available on all the streaming platforms. But that was
Speaker 3: the world radio premiere of that song Awesome, the first
Speaker 3: time ever played on the radio here on WMNH. Gary Smith, who, again,
Speaker 3: as I always say, one of the most talented and
Speaker 3: absolutely busiest musicians I know sent us that track. That
Speaker 3: was kind of a late addition, but very very happy
Speaker 3: to play that on the show. And by the way,
Speaker 3: speed of music, that theme music. If you like that
Speaker 3: theme music that you hear at the beginning of every show,
Speaker 3: it's not gonna be around much longer. We got something
Speaker 3: new coming so intin intent. Yeah, and it's going to
Speaker 3: be really good too. I'm very excited about that. Very
Speaker 3: excited me too. But we have a very busy show
Speaker 3: for you coming up in just a couple of minutes.
Speaker 3: The Worry People are going to be joining us all
Speaker 3: the way from the UK. Great duo. We actually played
Speaker 3: their newest single, Gold recently, and we're going to play
Speaker 3: that again in just a couple of moments and then
Speaker 3: we'll get them on. We're using Google Teams now for
Speaker 3: the first time on the show, so hopefully everything goes
Speaker 3: well with that. We've we've used WhatsApp and that went well,
Speaker 3: that was a success, But Google teams that's what Peter
Speaker 3: White seems to be using on the Morning Show and
Speaker 3: it's working well for him. So we're using that now
Speaker 3: too because Skype has gone away, so we'll be talking
Speaker 3: to the Worry People. We're going to play that track again,
Speaker 3: Gold and then we'll talk to the Worry people. I
Speaker 3: don't know if it's gonna be both guys, and then
Speaker 3: we'll at the end of it, we'll play another great
Speaker 3: song of theirs.
Speaker 11: Uh.
Speaker 3: Coming up in the second hour this week on the show,
Speaker 3: we've got the Forensics, another great band from the UK,
Speaker 3: and looking forward to that. And then in the third hour,
Speaker 3: Kevin Horn, a great singer songwriter from the area. He's
Speaker 3: got a bunch of new studio tracks and I think
Speaker 3: he's gonna play live too, correct.
Speaker 9: I believe so.
Speaker 3: Did he did the last time he was on the
Speaker 3: show and he's amazing, so looking forward to it. He
Speaker 3: plays at the Great North air Wark, Yes, yes, and
Speaker 3: he's got a big show coming up too with Cosmic Blossom.
Speaker 3: Actually they're gonna be on the same show, so yeah,
Speaker 3: so really looking forward to that. Always great to see
Speaker 3: Kevin and he's amazing. I love his voice. Such a
Speaker 3: such a cool uh, such a cool voice. Art scene
Speaker 3: in Manchester is amazing. Yes, yes, really, so welcome to
Speaker 3: the program everybody. By the way, I see Gary Hancock
Speaker 3: in the Facebook live chat. Hello Gary of course from
Speaker 3: big GSPR or big GPR here in over in the
Speaker 3: UK and they're great and Gary and Eden. They send
Speaker 3: us a lot of great guests and we love that. Also,
Speaker 3: Who I Am is in the Facebook lift chat, also
Speaker 3: known as Lacey. I'm never sure if it's Bibe or Bebe,
Speaker 3: but lovely to see you. Let me know when it's
Speaker 3: time to rock my favorite song from H from Who
Speaker 3: I Am. Absolutely let's see and who else? Well, I
Speaker 3: might have some other people in the Facebook live chat too.
Speaker 3: It's funny sometimes I can't see all the uh what
Speaker 3: screen you're in. I can't see everyone's comments at once,
Speaker 3: depending on whether they're watching on YouTube or on Facebook.
Speaker 3: With reestream, I'm supposed to be able to see everything
Speaker 3: in one chat, but it's not working. But but but
Speaker 3: sometimes I can't. It's uh, it's kind of interesting. Yes, yes,
Speaker 3: so uh also too, we're gonna be recording uh later
Speaker 3: later today. For those of you listening live on Saturday,
Speaker 3: this is something completely separate from w M and H.
Speaker 3: But keep an eye out because Eric Pilcher and I
Speaker 3: and longtime listeners of the show are familiar with Eric
Speaker 3: Pilcher uh because he's been a part of Matt Connorton
Speaker 3: Unleashed in various ways over the years. But he and
Speaker 3: I have a podcast called Tough Bumps and we're gonna
Speaker 3: be doing episode six today and the last couple of them.
Speaker 3: Instead of simply recording them and putting them up, we
Speaker 3: stream them live, So keep an eye out. I think
Speaker 3: probably around three pm Eastern this afternoon, we're gonna do
Speaker 3: episode six of Tough Bumps. So we don't really do
Speaker 3: a lot to promote the live stream because it's kind
Speaker 3: of not really officially a live show. It's a podcast
Speaker 3: that we record, but if we feel like going live,
Speaker 3: we do, and it's kind of fun to go live
Speaker 3: with that, So if you want to enjoy that, of course,
Speaker 3: I like Tough Bumps on social media, but also just
Speaker 3: keep an eye out and you'll see that live notification
Speaker 3: today and maybe you can join us on the show.
Speaker 3: So little plug for Tough Bumps. But I think what
Speaker 3: we should do now, I think we should go ahead
Speaker 3: and play this track again from the Worry People Gold,
Speaker 3: such a great song and I really love They've got
Speaker 3: an other song too called Naked, which we'll play at
Speaker 3: the end of the track, which is also just a
Speaker 3: really really cool track. But looking forward to talking with them,
Speaker 3: so if you are joining us live on Saturday morning.
Speaker 3: We've got a lot of great stuff today. But uh,
Speaker 3: if you didn't hear the world premiere of this or
Speaker 3: the American radio premiere, I should say, uh, here it is,
Speaker 3: this is gold and this is the worry people.
Speaker 15: Would you recognize me if you saw me them? I
Speaker 15: cut my head, just bat your face like im hoian.
Speaker 2: Now we will be strangers.
Speaker 1: And I thought that a journey.
Speaker 2: It soon it's time to come around.
Speaker 15: But the season has coming gone coming.
Speaker 16: Me being your gold and wrapped me round jumping.
Speaker 1: Give you something super believe in, something like Forever wor.
Speaker 15: World house built of houses on foundations they do sin
Speaker 15: so why I was as surprised when it all came
Speaker 15: crashing down.
Speaker 17: Don't want to call it love not me.
Speaker 18: He came so close.
Speaker 2: But the ruble just reminds me I was a tourist.
Speaker 19: I'm young ghost calling.
Speaker 16: Me up in your golden backed me around, jumping the
Speaker 16: give you.
Speaker 20: Something super believe in, something like forever.
Speaker 16: Well one.
Speaker 19: Where the world one going up to the one one word.
Speaker 9: The word.
Speaker 19: One on the way.
Speaker 16: You cut them in your thing, go go and wrap
Speaker 16: me round jumping the time.
Speaker 20: Something something leaving something like forever or.
Speaker 19: Who cut them in?
Speaker 11: You thing?
Speaker 20: Go go and wrap me round jumping the time something
Speaker 20: something leaving, something like forever.
Speaker 16: Oh h.
Speaker 3: That is called gold and that is by the Worry People,
Speaker 3: a great duo from the UK. This is good too.
Speaker 3: This is called dot naked. This is also uh the
Speaker 3: Worry People.
Speaker 2: Lord, I want to know, do you want me? Now
Speaker 2: you've seen it all. I can hold my breath to
Speaker 2: keep my thoughts wrong father now but it's playing tu
Speaker 2: see all that I don't want as ever and.
Speaker 17: Now well well hard, but I'm still farther sharp.
Speaker 2: And the worst part.
Speaker 21: It's how I want the ball.
Speaker 1: Over across my hot from there. I'm not falling back.
Speaker 1: This is all too well, as I shoutself.
Speaker 22: Down, brow Back memories smy nine and all that something
Speaker 22: changes son run back memories say Knight and both that something.
Speaker 2: Changes tone, brown Back Memories.
Speaker 22: Nine both that something changes time, bron Back Memory one
Speaker 22: thot I watched.
Speaker 19: Very down, Oh law you m oh loyleb.
Speaker 12: Let me do.
Speaker 3: Hey, welcome back everybody. I think we've got the Worry
Speaker 3: People on with us via WhatsApp. Oh I hear something
Speaker 3: that's a good sign.
Speaker 23: Hello, Hello, Hello, Hey, Hey, welcome.
Speaker 3: Uh yeah, sorry about that. Apparently Google Teams is not cooperating.
Speaker 3: But I'm glad we get to speak to you via
Speaker 3: What's app So always good to have a backup. Are
Speaker 3: both are both of you?
Speaker 21: There?
Speaker 23: This sounds big? I'm no sure rhymes?
Speaker 3: Okay, all right, so we've got oh absolutely, yeah, no,
Speaker 3: really glad to talk to you. I love your song.
Speaker 3: You know, we just played We played Gold and then
Speaker 3: we also played Naked, a couple of great tracks.
Speaker 21: Yeah.
Speaker 3: I love your sound. I love your sound. It's it's
Speaker 3: interesting that you guys are a duo. What what goes
Speaker 3: on in the studio because obviously it sounds like a
Speaker 3: full band like anyone you know, I'm sure you run
Speaker 3: into this all the time.
Speaker 24: Uh.
Speaker 3: People hear your music and they assume it's a full band.
Speaker 23: Right, Yeah, absolutely. I mean we started off as a
Speaker 23: two piece. We met in school, so we just kind
Speaker 23: of spent a lot of our time just jamming together
Speaker 23: in the music room and trying to come up with
Speaker 23: a sound. But there's a there's a band over this
Speaker 23: way called Royal Blood that are quite heavy. It's just
Speaker 23: like a drum and based thing, and we absolutely love them.
Speaker 23: But we also wanted to avoid that kind of comparison,
Speaker 23: so we tried to find a way of conveying our
Speaker 23: studio sound in a live setting. So yeah, we do
Speaker 23: incorporate a base into our and to our live set,
Speaker 23: and our producer is actually bas player, so he's been
Speaker 23: joining us on stage lately. So it's been a lot
Speaker 23: of fun just to have that new dynamic and more
Speaker 23: of a you know, a sort of more natural band
Speaker 23: dynamic on stage. You know, real good friends. So that's
Speaker 23: good fun.
Speaker 3: That's that's convenient.
Speaker 9: Uh.
Speaker 3: One of the things too about that track Gold that
Speaker 3: really strikes me is I love the way you know,
Speaker 3: it's it's very catchy, it's a little poppy, but then
Speaker 3: it gets to that part where it kind of gets heavy,
Speaker 3: you know, with the guitar, it kind of gets uh,
Speaker 3: it gets pretty heavy there for a minute. And I
Speaker 3: really like that too, And I like that contrast within
Speaker 3: the song. You know, it totally fits. It's a surprise,
Speaker 3: but it also completely fits, and it's uh, yeah, that's
Speaker 3: just really really good.
Speaker 23: Yeah. I mean, we've I've spent a lot of time
Speaker 23: just trying to come up with new ways of writing
Speaker 23: songs because I kind of consider myself to be a songwriter,
Speaker 23: like first and foremost, so just to try and break
Speaker 23: out of that typical mode. And we have so many
Speaker 23: influences between us that we've never really apart from our
Speaker 23: last single Stamp, we've never really had like that heavier
Speaker 23: element to what we do. So yeah, it's nice to
Speaker 23: hint at that without sort of showing that's like our
Speaker 23: entire identity because we are made up of so many
Speaker 23: different parts. So it's a lot of fun to play.
Speaker 3: And I was reading too, So you guys are you
Speaker 3: and you and Ryan? You guys are childhood friends, you
Speaker 3: grew up together.
Speaker 23: Yeah, yeah, I mean he was in the above Met's
Speaker 23: and we I mean, Rome was in a different band
Speaker 23: at the time, and I was always kind of banging
Speaker 23: on that door and I play with you guys, but yeah,
Speaker 23: they were a tight group at the time. But yeah,
Speaker 23: I mean it was during the pandemic where I think
Speaker 23: the nineteen seventy five who is a big influence. They
Speaker 23: released an album and Ryan reached out, I think his
Speaker 23: band went doing so much at the time, and he said, oh,
Speaker 23: I know you're a fan of them. Do you want
Speaker 23: to get in the room, maybe do a cover or something,
Speaker 23: so yeah, we jumped in, we did it, and I went, well,
Speaker 23: I've actually got a few songs if you want to
Speaker 23: give him a try, and yeah, the rest was history.
Speaker 3: Really yeah, it sounds like it came together pretty quickly then.
Speaker 23: Yeah, yeah, it was all very natural. I think that's
Speaker 23: a big part of being in the band. Like we've
Speaker 23: done the two piece thing for maybe two even a
Speaker 23: bit of years now, I think. Yeah, but because we've
Speaker 23: become such good friends with our producer, it's been very
Speaker 23: natural progression for him to join us on stage because
Speaker 23: we are friends before bandmates, so it really helps.
Speaker 3: That must be nice too in the sunset. And this
Speaker 3: is a conversation that comes up a lot on the show.
Speaker 3: You know, when you have, say you've got a band
Speaker 3: of four guys or five guys or you know, and
Speaker 3: and you've got to work around everyone's schedule and everyone's
Speaker 3: kind of got different, you know, their own creative ideas
Speaker 3: and so forth, and sometimes it works, and sometimes there's
Speaker 3: that tug and pull, which can be healthy but not
Speaker 3: always and all of that. But but it sounds like
Speaker 3: this with what you're doing, and especially as you mentioned
Speaker 3: to you, your producer who kind of becomes that third member,
Speaker 3: but also is very easy to work with and in
Speaker 3: tune with what you guys are doing. I mean it
Speaker 3: sounds like it. It must be, because I assume you've
Speaker 3: played in bands like where You've got a bunch of
Speaker 3: people right now.
Speaker 23: This is actually my first band. Oh no kidding, Yeah,
Speaker 23: my first and only band. Our producer Charlie. He's worked
Speaker 23: with several bands before, and Ryan's obviously had his previous band.
Speaker 3: But yeah, wow, well you're off to a hell of
Speaker 3: a good start.
Speaker 23: Then good for you, Good for you.
Speaker 3: No, this is such a great project. That's that's fantastic.
Speaker 15: Question.
Speaker 3: I'm sure this comes up all the time. But where
Speaker 3: does the name come from? The worry people?
Speaker 23: Okay, yeah, so it's I'm not sure if you've heard
Speaker 23: of them. They're called Guatemalan worry dolls, and have you
Speaker 23: heard of them before?
Speaker 3: I am not familiar with this, but I'm very intrigued.
Speaker 23: So basically, I was a bit of an anxious kid
Speaker 23: at school in primary school, and my mum came home
Speaker 23: one day with this little bag and it had like
Speaker 23: these little late matchstick figured people in there. Yeah, and
Speaker 23: they're all like they had like faces drawn on them
Speaker 23: and they wrapped and kind of sounds a bit weird,
Speaker 23: but basically it came with a bit of paper and
Speaker 23: it said, if there's anything that you're worrying about, you
Speaker 23: tell them what you're worried about. You put it under
Speaker 23: your pillow, go to sleep, and in the morning they've
Speaker 23: taken all your worries away. And it really helped me
Speaker 23: in school. So I just wanted to pay homage to that, really, So, yeah,
Speaker 23: the worry people. Obviously we've already got the goo Goo dolls,
Speaker 23: so I don't want to to go too far down
Speaker 23: that route. So yeah, the worry people.
Speaker 3: It was right right, did So did Ryan go for
Speaker 3: that right away too? I mean, did you have to
Speaker 3: sell it or was he on board immediately?
Speaker 23: No? I mean Ryan's pretty sure about most things, to
Speaker 23: be honest, He's happy to go to flow.
Speaker 16: Yeah.
Speaker 3: No, that's cool. I actually, so, now that you've described it,
Speaker 3: I actually have heard of that concept, but I didn't
Speaker 3: know what they were called. They're called Guatemalan worry people.
Speaker 23: Is that that's it?
Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, Guatemlan worried dolls. I saw someone had described
Speaker 3: something like that to me once a long time ago,
Speaker 3: but I'd forgotten that that's that's what they were called.
Speaker 3: That's interesting. I'm very curious because this is something that
Speaker 3: also comes up a lot on the show Mental Health
Speaker 3: and all of that. So did that help you when
Speaker 3: you were a kid quite a bit? Did you get?
Speaker 21: Yeah?
Speaker 11: Yeah?
Speaker 23: Yeah, I mean I can't say I had too many,
Speaker 23: like a massive friend circle growing up, and I'm glad
Speaker 23: that Ryan was that guy for me. So yeah, yeah,
Speaker 23: I mean we've we've written about song, We've written about
Speaker 23: topics to do with mental health as well. So yeah,
Speaker 23: I think it's quite important, especially our four EP and
Speaker 23: stuff like that. And we have a track called Face
Speaker 23: on our third EP which is specifically about mental issues,
Speaker 23: mental health issues and guys. Yeah, just if you if
Speaker 23: you have a friend who you think might need needs
Speaker 23: any help, then just ask be their friends, you know,
Speaker 23: be that guy.
Speaker 3: Oh that's very interesting, and that's cool because I think, well,
Speaker 3: first of all, you know, any any kind of problems.
Speaker 3: I mean, I think the best therapy is being creative,
Speaker 3: right if you can, if you can take the things
Speaker 3: that you struggle with in life, whether it be anxiety
Speaker 3: or whatever it is, any kind of mental health issues,
Speaker 3: and if you can take that and create something from
Speaker 3: it or or trauma or or anything anything negative. If
Speaker 3: you can take that and create something positive with it
Speaker 3: and create art from it, I think that's that's the best.
Speaker 3: I think that's the best therapy that there is. And
Speaker 3: I think that so I really commend that.
Speaker 23: You know that you're able to, especially with our FOURTHVP
Speaker 23: the way I looked at that because it was sort
Speaker 23: of about you know, maybe a not so great relationship
Speaker 23: and whatever. Sure, and it's a way. When I was writing,
Speaker 23: it was a way for me to sort of process
Speaker 23: that in all of those feelings, but when we put
Speaker 23: it out, it was more of like a sense of
Speaker 23: ownership of those feelings. So you know, once you put
Speaker 23: it out, it's a release. So I totally agree. You know,
Speaker 23: being able to dive into music in that way and
Speaker 23: help you work through what if you're going through is
Speaker 23: a beautiful thing.
Speaker 3: I'm curious. Are you an introvert.
Speaker 18: U?
Speaker 23: I mean it depends on the circumstances.
Speaker 12: You know.
Speaker 23: I love going to gigs and seeing my friends who
Speaker 23: also played music, So in that case, I love to
Speaker 23: get stuck in. But I mean in any other social situation,
Speaker 23: I like to keep to myself.
Speaker 3: Yep, yep, I can relate to that. I was curious
Speaker 3: because a lot of people, a lot of musicians especially
Speaker 3: are are introverts. But but people are surprised, Like I've
Speaker 3: had people say to me. You know, I've told people
Speaker 3: I'm an introvert and they're like, what, You're an intro
Speaker 3: How can you be an introvert? You know, you've played
Speaker 3: in bands, you're on the radio and you know. And
Speaker 3: I explain to them, well, yes, but that doesn't mean
Speaker 3: that I I go to parties and have a good time,
Speaker 3: because I do not do that. But but people have
Speaker 3: misunderstandings about about what an introvert is, what it means
Speaker 3: to be an introvert. But I also feel that that
Speaker 3: that many of us who are we like to express
Speaker 3: ourselves with music and performance and all of that.
Speaker 23: Yeah, it's a bit of a catch twenty two be
Speaker 23: the musician because you know, we love going out there
Speaker 23: and playing music, but we alstill love being in bed
Speaker 23: by ten.
Speaker 3: Well said, have you have you guys put out a
Speaker 3: full album yet or has it strictly been EPs up
Speaker 3: to this point.
Speaker 23: Yeah, it's been an EPs. We've put a couple of singles.
Speaker 23: We would love to do an album, to be honest,
Speaker 23: but we're still in the face of sort of like
Speaker 23: you know, meeting new people and potential fans, are trying
Speaker 23: to get our name out there. So when we do
Speaker 23: eventually come to put an album out, we want to
Speaker 23: make sure that we've got all of the right is listening.
Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, it's uh, you know, we live in a
Speaker 3: time where there's so many different approaches that you can take,
Speaker 3: and of course a lot of musicians now use you know,
Speaker 3: they call it the waterfall approach, where you actually release
Speaker 3: a series of singles and you know that may or
Speaker 3: may not eventually become an EP or an album, which
Speaker 3: is you know, I'm older and for me growing up,
Speaker 3: it was the inverse of that. It was, you know,
Speaker 3: first single goes to radio before the album, but after that,
Speaker 3: you know, it's the album and then a series of singles.
Speaker 3: But we live in a time where you can really
Speaker 3: approach it many different ways. Absolutely, you just have to
Speaker 3: do for you Yeah, how many EPs do you guys
Speaker 3: have at this point?
Speaker 23: We've got four EPs?
Speaker 25: Four?
Speaker 23: Okay, Yeah, so we put out four across two years,
Speaker 23: so we were very busy recording and just playing as
Speaker 23: much as we could. But yeah, I mean, we're taking
Speaker 23: our time with the singles at the moment, but yeah,
Speaker 23: we're always looking to the larger picture of things and
Speaker 23: just you know, we'll put out whatever feel is right. Really,
Speaker 23: I do appreciate there is an industry standard, but at
Speaker 23: the end of the day, you know, you've got to
Speaker 23: stay true to who you are as an artist and
Speaker 23: what you believe in.
Speaker 14: Yeah.
Speaker 3: Absolutely. By the way, when you play live, is it
Speaker 3: a different experience in terms of because obviously it's a
Speaker 3: different configuration than while in the studio you can do
Speaker 3: anything you want. You can you can be a full
Speaker 3: band quote unquote in the studio when you're when you
Speaker 3: play live, is it is it a little bit stripped down?
Speaker 3: Is it a little bit different? Or do you do
Speaker 3: you try to rap with them?
Speaker 21: Yeah?
Speaker 23: With technology these days, we're every element that we play
Speaker 23: in the studio that we can't play in a live situation,
Speaker 23: we just put it on a track and we can.
Speaker 23: We can do that so very much. What you hear
Speaker 23: if you listen to us on any streaming service or
Speaker 23: on this amazing radio station right now is what you'll
Speaker 23: hear live.
Speaker 3: I was curious about that because I know that sometimes
Speaker 3: I was in a project called Chemical Distance and we
Speaker 3: kind of did this. We we did a similar thing
Speaker 3: like that where you know, some some things would be
Speaker 3: on tracks, but sometimes things would go wrong with that too,
Speaker 3: And this was yeah, this was you know, and this
Speaker 3: this was quite some time ago that I did that.
Speaker 3: But I so I'm sure there's there's software now that
Speaker 3: is much more stable.
Speaker 23: Yes, you can do that way. Trankly, we haven't had
Speaker 23: too many sort of major problems playing live.
Speaker 3: Oh, that's good, that's good. I'm curious people. Do people
Speaker 3: talk to you about your songs and come up to
Speaker 3: you after shows or maybe contact you online and say,
Speaker 3: you know, because we were talking about how the content
Speaker 3: and the inspiration of some of your music being around
Speaker 3: mental health, do you hear from people who say, you know,
Speaker 3: this song really connected with me for this reason or
Speaker 3: help me with this problem, or does that happen?
Speaker 23: It actually hasn't, but maybe I'd like to think that,
Speaker 23: you know, they've they've taken something away with them from
Speaker 23: the show that they can just sort of keep for themselves.
Speaker 23: So sure, I'll take that as a win.
Speaker 3: Oh, no doubt, absolutely, one hundred percent. What is the
Speaker 3: live situation, by the way, for you guys, are you
Speaker 3: touring a lot. Are you doing a lot of shows?
Speaker 23: Yeah, I mean we've we played plenty of shows in
Speaker 23: our home county, but we've been breaching out across the
Speaker 23: whole of the UK with the help of our manager
Speaker 23: over the past couple of years now. So it's been
Speaker 23: a great experience just to see more of the place
Speaker 23: we live. And you know, even though you're only traveling
Speaker 23: a bit further up the country, how different that music
Speaker 23: scene is and how the crowd responds and it's it's brilliant. Yeah,
Speaker 23: I mean we'll play wherever we can we can go.
Speaker 3: Really, have you had an opportunity to do any festivals
Speaker 3: or do you have any festivals coming up this summer?
Speaker 11: Yeah?
Speaker 23: Absolutely, I mean there's plenty of festivals in the UK.
Speaker 23: I mean last year we actually did a what was it,
Speaker 23: I think it was like a twelve hour drive up
Speaker 23: to Inverness in Scotland, or just outside of Inverness. Yeah,
Speaker 23: that was a bell called bellat Drum Festival. That's probably
Speaker 23: like the biggest festival that we've played so far. Yeah,
Speaker 23: it was. It was an amazing experience and we'd happily
Speaker 23: do more festivals this year as well, and it.
Speaker 3: Looks like too. From what I was reading, you're having
Speaker 3: some success there on radio. Yeah, I'm looking.
Speaker 23: Right here so far, and you've been kind enough to
Speaker 23: have us.
Speaker 3: Oh, absolutely, absolutely no, We're happy to be your your
Speaker 3: conduit into the American radio market because yeah, like I said,
Speaker 3: we love what you guys are doing. Absolutely amazing. Thank
Speaker 3: you so much, absolutely amazing. What should I What should
Speaker 3: people know Sam about where to keep up with everything
Speaker 3: that you're doing. Where should they go online?
Speaker 23: Well, I mean you can follow us on all socials
Speaker 23: at the word People Music. However, we do have a
Speaker 23: website as well where we talk about what shows we've
Speaker 23: got coming up. We've got newsletter where we also send
Speaker 23: out regular newsletters to do with upcoming shows, any new singles,
Speaker 23: like previews and stuff like that. And that's the worry
Speaker 23: people dot co dot UK.
Speaker 3: Very good, Very good. I was thinking about to end
Speaker 3: the segment. I here's here's what I'm I'm thinking about doing.
Speaker 3: Uh with your with your approval, tell me I feel
Speaker 3: about this seeing about playing face, because we were talking

Speaker 3: After that I'll also play I'll also play Gold again
Speaker 3: because that's such a great track and I know that's
Speaker 3: the newest single and is that out yet or is
Speaker 3: that coming out in June? Is that is that a
Speaker 3: June sixth?
Speaker 23: June sixth, Yeah, June sixth.
Speaker 3: Okay, so yeah, so that's that's cool to feature that too,
Speaker 3: because again we're giving people a preview that'll be on
Speaker 3: all the streaming platforms I assume.
Speaker 23: Yes, yeah, definitely anyway you listen to.
Speaker 3: Music outstanding, Yeah, so we'll give that another spin too
Speaker 3: because that is that is such a great track. But yeah, absolutely,
Speaker 3: but Sam listen. Uh, it's it's been great talking with you,
Speaker 3: and I appreciate your patience. Again, we tried Google teams
Speaker 3: and it didn't quite work out, but there's WhatsApp has
Speaker 3: proven to be a worthy back up the day. It
Speaker 3: saved the day, absolutely, and we'll definitely do this again.
Speaker 26: Uh.
Speaker 3: You guys are very busy. It sounds like you've got
Speaker 3: a lot coming up and you're gonna be continuing to
Speaker 3: release new music. So as you do that, like I said, uh,
Speaker 3: we're happy to give it a spin here at w
Speaker 3: M and H and and and we'd we'd love to
Speaker 3: have you on and and hopefully hopefully get Ryan on too,
Speaker 3: and and we can have more conversations in the future.

Speaker 3: the great appreciate that. Absolutely, we'll talk again soon, all right, Sam,

Speaker 3: and I want to give a shout out to a
Speaker 3: waiting Abigail. I see you, I love you. Oh yes,
Speaker 3: one of my favorite T shirts to wear. Oh absolutely, yeah, Yeah,
Speaker 3: we love awaiting Abigail definitely. So let's give So we're
Speaker 3: gonna play a couple of these. So we're gonna play
Speaker 3: Face because we were talking about it during our conversation
Speaker 3: with Sam, and then we're gonna play and then we'll
Speaker 3: give Gold another spin too, and again the single Yeah
Speaker 3: I Do too, and the single Gold from the Worry
Speaker 3: People that will be out on June sixth. But you've
Speaker 3: been hearing it here first, you've been hearing it for
Speaker 3: the first time in the United States. At least, it's
Speaker 3: probably already getting played in the UK. I get to
Speaker 3: say it when I'm on this side of the pond,
Speaker 3: that's right. But in the United States you're hearing it
Speaker 3: for the first time. Absolutely So if you are listening
