Matt Connarton Unleashed 9-7-23
Game Plan
w/Hans Smith of Sepsiss, Billy Painter of Patriot Confederation.
Tonight, the race for the White House takes flight. Welcome to the first
debate of the twenty twenty four presidential campaign. Live advisor for him in Milwaukee,
Qualified and have chosen to be here on our debate stage tonight. Country
is in decline. This decline is not inevitable. It's a choice. We
need to send Joe Biden best to his basement and reverse American decline. Who's
the most best prepared for this job? I think, unquestionably I'm the best
prepared, the most tested, the most qualified, improven conservative in this race.
First, let me just address a question that is on everybody's mind at
home tonight. Who the heck is this a skidney guy with the funny last
name, and what the heck is he doing in the middle of this debate
stage. We cannot sit by any longer and loud the kind of spending that's
going on in Washington. Is every dollar they spend as a dollar that these
people are not allowed to spend on their children and their grandchildren. I was
a delusion young man, growing up in a single parent house, old miered
and poverty. I wonder if the American dream was real for kids like me.
I can stand before you to day and say that the dream is alive
and it is healthy. I don't care about holds. What I care about
the fact is that no one is telling the American people the truth. The
truth is that Biden didn't do this to us. Our Republicans did this to
us too. Let me just tell you that I'm a pro life governor from
a conservative state that have a conservative record in which I lowered taxes in Arkansas
as governor. He's a weak and pathetic. Of course, I'm from a
town of three hundred people. It's a big deal to make it on this
stage. Now that everybody's gotten their memorized pre pro pens logans out of the
way, they can at to have a real discussion. Now, I was
a House Conservative leader before it was cruel. I was the first person in
this race. I'm not sure exactly understood Mike Pence's comment. Let me try
to I care. I'll go slower this time, sure, before going back
and forth. The childish is about helpful to the American people, not.
This is exactly why Margaret Thatcher said, if you want something said, ask
a man. If you want something done to ask a woman. There are
two genders. This is our time for choosing and if God made you a
man, you play sports. The kids Smith, we are going to take
a brief moments and talking about the elephant not agnal. If former President Trump
is convicted in a court of law, would you still support him as your
party's choice? Please raise your hand if you would. President Trump, I
believe was the best president of the twenty first century. That is wrong.
Over a year ago I said that Donald Trump wo s morally disqualified from being
president again as a result, I want happened on Jane Ory six. So
here's the bottom line. Someone's gone to stop normalizing this conduct. And I
am not going to bow to anyone when we have a prison in the United
States who disrespects the constitution. Trump is the most disliked politician in America.
Why are you at the Fox News debate to night in Milwaukee. Well,
you know a lot of people have been asking me that, and many people
said you shouldn't do them. But you see, the polls have come out
and I'm leading by fifty and sixty points. Some of them are at one
and zero. Who who I'm saying, boys, I care for an hour
or two hours whatever, it's going to be and get harassed by people that
shouldn't need to be running for president, shouldn't be doing it. But I
just felt it would be more appropriate not to do the debate. I'd only
good right to do it. Last one. You're leading by fifty sixty and
one pot. I'm leading by seventy points, and I'm saying, why am
I doing it? And I'm going to have a people ten people whoever made
the debata than how many it is. But I'm gonna have all these people
screaming up any questions, I mean, most avail. I take it a
pass. How do you get invited? You know every week it's at your
I think it's a lot easier because I'm so high and so so high in
the post, because it means I'm so high and I'm so so so so
so high. The people get it. You get around everywhere, get a
right now to gay so high the increible, the ends all see three.
Fully you stop your saying no being sir, yes, so you saying a
lot faster screen ball or screen ball or no wind, no winter, no
winter, no winter. You stop your sayin sir, yes, so you
saying a big best screen ball or screen ball No winter, regoin or reno
winter, no winter you stoke your sna lompin, sir you so you saying
a long fast screen ball or screen ball, no winter, goin run winter
and the winter you stop your sna lump and stir you so you saying a
long bell. Alright, hes come, said Francisco to n y scene and
everyone wants we walk about me? Why night run by the lady's scream when
you turning out, lad tary, you know what really? All fabby things?
Something true where I'm man, something stewart cool, you know what?
Let me tell you who I am. I know I do what I want
to make I sire the best. All of you will lose. Side just
stops. It's floating full of cash. I'm the low of your the brass.
I go wat start. You will see I've got more money than ANTV.
I've got very mean silver fox. I'm just scene I live with.
When all the ladies scream, I know I do do I want because I
can't the best all of us st just stops. What any things to a
woman? I like that you want you call the mast I do what I
want because I can't the best you lose that sciences. I do want.
I want to be the best. You lose that sciences. All the best,
Yarry Rinking News from beautiful Manchester, New Hampshire. An international coolist has
sorely declared itself the supreme leader of all things rock and all things roll.
Tensions are rising as others have claimed themselves to be quote the savior of real
rock and roll, but the Coalition founded and headed by Jerry Robinson says these
claims are unfounded. As you can see, war can be declared at any
moment. The smallest act of aggression can be seen by either side is oh
god, we have a breaking news Bolton being published as we speak. The
first struct Hello everyone, Jerry here. So I am taken over the airways,
I've taken over the radio and now I want to all Do I understand
that I am the supreme Leader of rock and roll? But just me,
of course? I would like to welcome the brand new member of Cherry's Rock
and Roll Army. The command us to the Supreme Leader, Matt so camping
down. Welcome everybody, here we go. It is Matt Connerton unleashed.
That might I might have to make that my new official opening trick. That
is our friend Jerry Robinson his new band. While his new band has been
around for a little bit now, and you might recognize some of the names
in it, but anyways, band Jerry and the Scumbags and some of the
Earth. The brand new album just out today and that is I Am.
For those who don't know. Newer listeners might not know this, Jerry named
me for Jerry Robinson's rock and Roll Army. He named me the Commander to
the Supreme Leader of the rock and Roll Army, which is, by the
way, for those who don't know. If you can't tell from the title
that I've had bestowed upon me by Jerry Robinson, it's very prestigious. I
will say I never imagined, you know, I didn't serve in the military
myself and in the American military, but I never imagined that I might someday
be named commander to the supreme leader of anything. Frankly, but to be
commander to the Supreme Leader of Jerry's rock and Roll Army just incredible, such
an honor, and so we're very honored to feature tracks today from his brand
new album. We played Uh I'm the Man was a song to open the
show, and that one you've heard before if you're a regular listener, but
I wanted to play them in order, so that's a little teaser for you.
But we'll play some more later. And I do believe that we might
be hearing from the man himself today on the program, Jerry Robinson, so
we look forward to that. But we are going to feature the entire album
today, not all at once. We'll space it out. We'll talk some
some news and politics and so forth in between, like we do every day
on the show. But but yes, I'm very excited to share all this
music with you. With Billy Painter on drums and Eric Pincher on the lead
guitar and a guy named Matts on the bass. You might be familiar with
them, so there you go. So very excited about that. But I
do hope Jerry is able to call in today too so we can talk to
him a little bit about the new album. So lots of exciting things going
on. So that is on the docket for today. I do have some
other exciting programming notes for you tomorrow on the show. Our musical guest will
be the band Soda Stah st Ah. Yeah, Soda they're actually coming in.
They're going to be with us in the second hour tomorrow on the show
for our Friday show, and they will do a live in studio performance for
us, So really looking forward to that. That will be tomorrow on the
show, and of course we have Eric Pilcher's classic film review tomorrow as well
as we do every Friday. Today. By the way, today is the
first Thursday of the month, which means that immediately following this show, I
will be doing my monthly call in to the Doctor Kevin Show, which streams
online on the ome Times Radio Network o as an omometimes dot com. You
can go there and hear that. So the first Thursday of the month,
of course I call in and we discuss politics and current events on Doctor Kevin's
Show. So for those of you, and you know who you are,
if you get to the end of today's program and you're sitting there going,
oh no, it's over. I need more, I need more, Matt
Connerton, Well, as long as you don't mind sharing me with Doctor Kevin
and his audience on his program, there is a way that you can get
even more of me. Tune in to Doctor Kevin's Show, which is aptly
called the Doctor Kevin Show. I've been I've been doing my Thursday call ins
with him for jeez. I think I think maybe longer than I've been at
WM and H actually, because i've been here. It was six years in
April Jesus already September, so it's like six and a half years. But
I think I might have I think I might have been a period on Doctor
Kevin's show even before I came here. So it's been a long time.
But I've known Doctor Kevin for a very long time. But anyway, so
we always look forward to that. Also, just a couple other things,
just quickly, or at least one other thing. Today is Thursday, which
also means not only do I do my monthly appearance on The Doctor Kevin Show,
but tonight is Trivia night at the Hop Knot, our great sponsor at
one thousand Elm Street. Right across the street. They've got those delicious gourmet
pretzels, they have an assortment of craft beer, and on Thursday nights they
have trivia hosted by the great Broderick Lang. Make sure though that you call
ahead. You'll want to give them a call in advance to reserve your spot.
Six zo three two three two three seven three one. If you want
to give give them a call six zo three two three two three seven three
one. I say that because those spots fill up quickly. Trivia Night is
a very very popular feature at the hop Knot. Something else they have coming
up to on Sunday, So this weekend the return of Big Gay Bingo with
Onyx Reins and glam Chowdah. It's I'm reading this from the flyer. It's
like Bingo but gay. So that will be Sunday at one pm at the
Hop Knot. And again you can call to reserve your table at six three
two three two three seven three one. Free to play with purchase of food
or drink. And believe me, when you walk into the hop Knot you'll
want to get food and or drink. And they recommend a ten dollar donation
which goes to the Merrimack Valley Assistance Program. So very good, very good,
lots of always lots of good things going on there. They're very active
in the community, which is a wonderful thing. If you would like to
be active in participating in the program today, the studio line is open six
zo three two five zero six zero seven six zo three two five zero six
zero seven. You can also text me at six one seven nine one seven
four four seven six. I'm on social media at Matt Connerton. You can
email me Matt at Matt Connerton dot com. And of course you can interact
endo Pine in the Facebook live chat and we'll say hello everybody in there in
a moment. But the best thing to do so that we can here and
enjoy your dulcet tones is give us a call at six o three two five
six zero seven. By the way, too, I want to wish a
happy birthday if she's listening to Ali Boudri, also known as Ali Seeney.
She's been on the show before, actually a couple of months ago, great
musical guest. And of course her husband, Bill Seeney does trivia on the
Morning Show every I think it's Wednesday mornings, he calls into the Morning Show
to do a trivia segment. So we love the scene's around here. And
I heard it mentioned. I think I heard it mentioned on the Morning Show,
of course, the Morning Show with Peter White weekdays seven and nine am
here on WMNH that today was Ali Boudri's birthday. I think I actually wished
her a happy birthday yesterday in case I forgot today. But then I remember
today, which is great because I must tell you my friends, I am
horrible at remembering birthdays. There was one year, and this is true,
long time ago. I remember I forgot my own birthday. I swear I
went to work that day and somebody at work was like, oh, happy
birthday, Matt. They knew it was my birthday. And it took me
a second. I was like, huh oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah it is. You know, it's uh, I don't know. It's
it's not a big deal to me. I mean it's it's expensive if you're
in New Hampshire because you also have to register and inspect your car in your
birth month. So it's like, oh, well, happy birthday to me.
Yeah, I get to spend all this money anyway. Uh, let's
say hello to everybody on the Facebook live chat and then we'll get into some
news. Oh actually, hold on, we have a call. Let's see.
Uh who's on the line here? Hi, Welcome to Matt Connerton Unleashed.
Who's this? This is a hots from my Setzi band? How you
doing this is? Who is it? A Hans from setsis ban. Oh,
hey, how you doing, Hans, Yeah, I'm doing pretty well.
How are you doing? Good? Good? The connections a little staticky,
so it's hard to hear you at first, but yeah, I'm on
a landline the mom myself to Hi, got you, I got you?
What's on your mind? It's good? Good hear from you. Oh no,
not that. I actually really like that. That track that you're point
that was pretty use those blindy I like that. You like that. Oh,
there's plenty more to come, my friend, There's plenty more to come.
Oh yes, Oh that's cool. That's that's very cool. So are
you saying cool? Today? It is very hot weather. Yeah, it's
pretty comfortable here in the in the studio at w M and H. When
I get here in the afternoon, it's usually nice and uh, nice and
comfortable. I don't mind the heat that much, though, only in the
sense that summer is my favorite time of year and I always hate to see
it slip away. So if it wants to hang on a little extra longer,
that's actually fine with me. But but I know it's it's pretty oppressive.
I think it got up to ninety three or ninety four degrees today.
Wow, that is hot. Oh. By the way, people are saying
hello to you in the Facebook live chat. I see Jenny says hi,
and uh yo, what up Jenny? How are you doing? And Isaac
Banks saying hello as well. Isaac Banks is from Greensboro, North Carolina.
But we're not in North Carolina. Uh. What's what's sets us up to
right now? Oh? Well, we're you know, we're working on you
know, new music. We you know, we have the Take the World
by Swarm in the work, so you know that that's happening. A lot's
happening. Uh. You know, we have a show in Connecticut. We
have Swarming Fast coming up. Yep, we have a lot. We have
a lot going on. Yes, yes, yes, really looking forward to
Swarmy Fast and of course, uh, Jenny and I are involved in that
with you all and U on behalf of the show. Really looking forward to
that. That's going to be very cool. Oh, it's going to be
one epic, one epic for the books. Absolutely, at least for New
England. Yes, yes, by the way, where in Connecticut are you
playing? I'm just curious, I'm I was here playing it's a Halloween show.
Uh, and it's it's it's on actually it's it's on the border of
Math and Connecticut, so it's like right on, right on the tip of
the iceberg. Now, I was just curious. I was. I was
born in Hartford, but back when I used to play in bands, we
one of the bands I was in, we did a lot of shows in
Connecticut, so I was, yeah, it's fun to go down there.
Really good music scene there at least. Yeah, Connecticut's really you know,
really happening down there absolutely, So like you know, there's like a lot
of like good talent down there a Connecticut. There's a lot of good talent
actually, you know, everywhere in New England. And I've seen like you
know, uh, you know, work for you know, work for Steps
the band. You know, I like I get the great honor of you
know, listening to new bands and stuff like that. You know, every
show, you know, like you know, there's someone new and different,
exciting and and you know, the one thing I don't do, you know,
as a music lovers, I don't I don't go. I don't I
don't go and see their their music before. I want to see see them
live if I've never heard of them. So yeah, that's what I do.
Yeah. Yeah, that's that's an interesting perspective because a lot of people
will do the opposite. If they're going to see a band live for the
first time, they'll go out of their way to listen to some stuff to
kind of get an idea. But it is fun to be surprised, you
know. So I gues I like the you know, like the thing that
excites me most about music is the unknown, and you know, and how
many different types of bands and different groups you know, like everyone has and
it's just it's it blows my mind. Yeah. So like you know,
if you know, if I like your music, you know what I do?
I buy your shirt yep, and that and that speaks more words than
anything, absolutely absolutely well you know as as you know, I mean,
artists depend on merch like that's how I do things. Yeah, yeah,
very cool, very cool. Yeah what what? Yeah? And like people
like, like, you know, some people might be surprised. They're like,
wow, you've never you never heard of our band? I'm like,
no, because the one thing I don't I don't do is I don't listen
to you, uh, you know, a band if im you know,
if if you know, if it's been on the radio or it's been on
Facebook, Like I don't know, I don't do that. You know,
I'm a little you know, I'm a product of the eighties, and you
know what you know in my eighties music music cultures stought me is that you
know, you go see the live performance before anything, before you buy a
CD, before you before you buy any merchandise, before you eat, like
even because you know, but you know, put them on your number one
or number two or number three, pick right right? Yeah, no,
I I get it. Some of the some of the bands that swarmy fest
I assume are there are there bands who are going to be a swarmy fester
you haven't seen live before? Oh yeah, Paradise is canceled. I've never
heard of them. That's a great name, and I'm really excited, you
know, just to see them in they you know what they you know,
what they bring musically, you know, because like my you know, like
my brain has been so inundated with music and riffs and stuff like that.
Like there's guys, like the one thing that I find special is when I
find those bands that have that special, unique grinding sound that that that rocks
my core. Like that's how like you know, when I when I got
introduced to a tall, I was like, oh home the fuck away,
you know, and for you know, being a contragoer and you know and
also working for Sepsis band, and it like it opens up doors, like
it just opens up that that floodgate of discovery, you know, uh,
that floodgate of like you know, what's the unknown own? You know,
just so many variables, right right, absolutely, all right, Well listen,
Hans, I do appreciate the call. Uh, well, you're welcome,
mate, you know, I you know, I love yourself, Thank
you. I watched it every day. Yeah, and I'm and I share
out your yourself out in the world, so you know, sharing is caring.
So absolutely, my friend, we appreciate it tremendously. Thank you so
much. Keep up the great work and uh yeah, youtuberb we walk on
and keep on those beefs. Man. All right, Hans, thank you
man, take care, You're welcome, all right, goodbye, byebye.
All right. That was That was Hans from the band Sepsis, and wonderful
to hear from him, although I did have to fortunately we're on a delay.
I get you can't can't be dropping the F bomb here. But I
think he just got excited and forgot. But but I caught it. But
no, but great, great here from them, here from him and here
I see Hans in the chat room every day along with Sepsis. And of
course yes we will. We will be at Swarmy Fest November fourth. I
believe, so very cool. Melanie in the chat room said no saying that
on the radio. Matt, geez, these people, Matt, I know
right now he didn't. He didn't mean it. Desis forgot. It's It's
all good. He's a good guy. Good guy. We we love our
we love our listeners and uh and we love our bands around here, as
you know, our musicians. I'll being a musician myself, I might be
biased, but no, Hans is Hans is great, so we love him.
Uh. That does open up the studio line for you. Six zero
three two five zero six zero seven six zho three two five zero six zero
seven. Yeah, Jenny said in the chat room, he's new. Uh,
let's we'll go ahead and say hello everybody in the Facebook live chat.
And then I do want to play another another song from uh. We're today
we're debuting some of the music from our friend, our friend Jerry, Jerry
Robinson and his band. But let's see who we haven't here. J Fed
joins us and says, good afternoon everyone, Good afternoon, Jay Fed and
Jay Fed said to Isaac Banks as the Fonds. Whoa Isaac Banks says Jason
Feederson, It was my impression of the Fonds hashtag Jason Feederson. Now so
Isaac Banks and Jay Fedder now arguing over their impressions of the Fonds. Jenny,
of course is in the chatwoman says shalom peeps. Jay Fed says,
that doesn't sound like the Fonds to me. Hans Smith, of course is
in the Chatwoman says, hey, Matt MetalMan. Jay fed says, this
is the Fonds. Hey is that how he said it? I can't even
remember having watched Happy Days and like, I don't know, decades, Isaac
Banks says Jason Federson, Hey, Jason, my main man a Monday,
A big announcement from mister Matt Connerton. He is my best friend. We
love jazz and rock band. Well, all right, Isaac Banks, look
you see him. You seem like a great guy. But I don't know
if we're best friends. I've never actually met you, and I don't.
I don't really like jazz that much, although actually I really tend to hate
it, but I do, I do occasionally. Well, it was a
number of years ago now, but people still talk about it to this day.
On April Fool's Day. What year was it. It was before the
pandemic, so it's all a blur. I did a special edition of Matt
Connerton Unleashed called Matt Connerton's Smooth Jazz Experience. Oh yeah, it was really
groovy. Listen to that bass. No, I'm kidding, Actually no,
I really I don't. I respect all forms of music, but I don't
like I don't like jazz. I'm sorry, Isaac Banks. Isaac Banks also
said Jason Feederson, I do the impression of the fons. What a fascinating
thing to be arguing over in the chat room. But apparently, Jafed,
you have triggered Isaac Banks. Let's see. Isaac also says Matt Connerton,
he will call you on Monday afternoon. Is my friend Jeff Pegary? Oh
wonderful. So on Monday on the show will be hearing from Jeff Pegary.
Maybe that's what who Isaac Banks meant is his best friend Jafed is asking Isaac
if he has a leather jacket, and Isaac said, my friend Jason Feederson
wish I had did a leather jacket, but I really don't have one.
But I do my impression of Potsy Webber from Happy Days, imitating Potsy.
Hi, mister f what Okay, this is all getting very strange. Jafed
says, wait a minute, you can't do the Fons impression without a leather
jacket. I have to agree with Jay Fed on that. Hans Smith said,
all hail the Commander. Yes, if you're just joining us, I
will remind you that I've been named the commander to the Supreme Leader of Jerry
Robinson's rock and roll Army. Melanie says, I always knew you had it
in you to be the supreme Leader. Thank you, Melanie, thank you.
Jay Fed says I was wondering why I didn't sound like the Fawns to
me, and now I know, Oh, because he doesn't have a leather
jacket. Ronda Fervero says hello from California. Hello, Ronda. Let's see
all right, there's a lot of I'm gonna skip some of these. Eric
Street joins us in the Facebook live chat. Hello, Eric, He says,
I just got here. When we're talking about birthdays, I get in
the mail, Happy birthday. Now you've got to stand in line to renew
your license. UG. Actually I've last a couple of times. I've renewed
my driver's license. I just did it online, which was nice, quick
and easy. I don't think we're kind of fortunate here in New Hampshire anyway.
I feel I don't think that our DMV does a bad job. I
think they're fairly efficient in contrast with other states. So you're some real horror
stories, but I think our DMV here does pretty well. Miriam Banish says,
good afternoon, Good afternoon, Miriam. Uh, let's see all right,
very nice. Uh six o three two five zero six zero seven is
a studio line six zero three two five zero six O seven. By the
way, let's uh, let's do this and then uh, I want to
look at this and then we'll we'll play another song. But I was actually
a little bit surprised to see this. Ellie Honig, who is uh CNN's
UH legal analysts, I guess he's the top legal analysts there. Oh.
Will Vegas joins us in the Facebook live chat and says, you two are
fighting more than Shachi and Janie. Well, they didn't fight that much,
did they. I mean, they did get their own spinoff. Remember that
Joanie loves Chachi. So I was surprised to see this. So CNN's legal
analyst Ellie Honig says the whistleblowers were right. CNNs Honig says DJ was ready
to let Hunter Biden off cheaply before pressure amped up. And by the way,
as I share this with you, and I've mentioned Ellie Honick recently on
the show before, because the other day he threw cold water all over this
idea of these states invoking the fourteenth Amendment to try to keep Trump off the
ballot. He said it won't work, and we went through all of that,
and he's right. I mean, I'm not a legal expert, but
I know it won't work. And there's really two reasons. One is not
everyone well necessarily agree on the grounds for doing that. But the second,
even more important reason is there's no mechanism to do it. There's no mechanism
in place to actually enforce that. You'd have to literally leave it up to
these individual secretaries of state or attorneys general in these different states, to make
that determination. But listen to this, so it says here. CNN senior
legal analyst Ellijone declared that the Hunter Biden whistleblowers were right that the Department of
Justice was willing to let Hunter Biden off cheaply. This was today, he
said this, So the former federal prosecutor said this quote, or actually I
have the audio of it. Yeah. Here, let's let's listen to this.
I haven't had a chance to actually hear this yet, only read it
quick Ellie. As Evan said, a sitting president, his Justice Department likely
indicting and trying to take to trial his son, the President's son. Yeah,
Danny. DJ has given me whiplash on this one, because six weeks
ago they were they did walk into court and they were ready to get rid
of this case for a misdemeanor and dismissed the gun charge. Now they're about
to indict him for a felony gun charge, which would likely carry jail time
if there's a conviction. The only conclusion that I think is consistent with all
this is that the whistleblowers were right that initially DJ was ready to go in
there and give this deal away cheaply. And when the political pressure amped up,
DJ did a complete one eighty. And now they've appointed, they've made
David Y's special counsel, and now they're bringing an indictment. Yeah, and
as you know that Hunter Biden people want a lot more questions asked about those
whistleblowers, whether or not they were actually the leakers turn whistleblowers. That's a
whole different conversation. Thank you so much for your reporting. And it's so
it sounds like so in other words, what he's saying is because remember,
it was a number of weeks ago now where we thought that whole plea deal
was in place and set up, and then all of a sudden it blew
up now and then we I think it was it yesterday or the day before.
It all blurs together with all this legal stuff between Hunter Biden and Trump
and it's hard to keep track of it, all this so much. But
then they said, I think it was yesterday. Then they said no,
they're going to trial over the gun charge now, actually going to trial over
it. And Ellie Honig, what he's saying is that, oh, here
it is actually Yeah. So that initially DJ was ready to go in there
and give this deal away cheaply, and when the political pressure amped up,
DJ did a complete one eighty so David Weiss and David Weiss said, no,
we're going to move to a try hunter Biden on the gun charge.
Let's see there's more here that's not in the audio, so we'll look at
the rest of this. Oh, Billy Painter has joined us in the Facebook
live chat and says when is Jerry On? I don't know, hopefully he
calls in today. I am featuring some of his music though throughout the show,
Jenny said in the chat room, if it was any ordinary person,
there wouldn't be a discussion. We'd go right to court on a felony.
It says all over the forum that Lyon is a felony. So here's what
they What was also in the segment that's not included in the audio that I
had Again, this was from CNN just this afternoon. Host Dana Bash then
parroted questions asked about the credibility of the whistleblowers by Biden's lawyers, before promptly
ending the segment. Oh okay, so that's the part we heard she did.
She did end the segment pretty quickly, whistleblowers Gary Shapley and Joe Ziegler
or Ziegler have alleged that pressure was applied to let Biden off easy, and
that the prosecutors other than Weiss refused to bring charges against Biden in their jurisdiction.
Ziegler said during a July hearing quote, the assigned prosecutors did not follow
the ordinary process, slow walked the investigation, and put in place onnecessary approvals
and roadblocks from effectively and efficiently investigating the case. I am here to tell
you that the Delaware USAO and the Department of Justice handling of the Hunter Biden
tax investigation was very different from any other case in my fourteen years at the
IRS. In this country, we believe in the rule of law and that
applies to everyone. There should not be a two track justice system depending on
who you are and who you're connected to. Yet in this case, there
was at every stage decisions were made that benefited the subject of the investigation.
Now, the other thing I want to say about this in a little bit
of a broader context is I'm noticing and I have other examples of this that
will probably get to later in the show, but something is happening right now
in mainstream media on CNN, and I'm seeing it on MSNBC less but definitely
on CNN. Something is happening. We talked last week, it was last
week right again, it all blurs together, had to be last week.
We talked last week on the show about Mark. Halperin was on Michael Smerconish's
radio show, and according to Halperin, he has high level sources close to
Joe Biden who are saying that the president has actually changed his mind and is
now not going to seek reelection. But nothing's been said publicly, and they're
still going through the motions of the campaign because they've got to figure out what's
the off ramp here and do they try to you know, is there going
to be a coronation for Kamala Harris or are they going to try to get
somebody else in there. It's it's going to get very, very complicated,
right which will be fascinating to see if Halperin is right now. The media,
the mainstream media has not picked up on what Halperin said, even though
he's a mainstream media guy, although somewhat of an outcast because he got fired
from NBC News for for sexual harassment, and he's been gradually incrementally, i
would say, trying to rehabilitate his image. Michael Smerconish certainly a mainstream media
guy, but the mainstream media has not really picked up on what Halperin has
said. But there does seem to be something else going on, because as
we continue to talk about age being an issue, and we continue to talk
about the jerontocracy that runs our government and so forth, as we continue to
focus on all of this, and especially with Mitch McConnell's recent incidents which have
some of that ends up splashing onto our about to be eighty one, he
turns eighty one in November, our current president, these questions about age,
this is all of a sudden. Mainstream media was being very polite about it
all until relatively recently, but there's been a turn, and I'm not sure
what's driving it. See. The thing you have to remember with mainstream media
is unlike with independent media with online media, although with online media there is
an element of this as well, it depends on who it is. But
with mainstream corporate media left or right, whether it's MSNBC and CNN on the
left or Fox on the right, or I suppose news Max. I guess
Newsmax is mainstream. They're carried on cable, So on the right, you
have to remember they're part of a larger corporate machine. So any news that
you're getting from mainstream media. And by the way, you know, people
tend to look at this in partisan terms, So Republicans will say, oh,
CNN and MSNBC, that's that's corporate media. I get the real news,
you know, from Fox, and then Democrats will say no, no,
no, Fox and news Max and all that's that's propaganda. And you
know they're they're a part of the corporatocracy. I get my news from CNN
and MSNBC. Any media, Yeah, that's operating at that level across the
board. It's all corporate media, so there's always a corporate agenda. Billy
Painter in the chat room says, mainstream media is garbage, CNN, MSNBC,
Fox, et cetera. All garbage. I won't go that far because
there's uh there are shows and uh journalists within mainstream media who I do like
and who I do trust. But Billy says, I want to call it.
Yeah, go ahead, Billy, you can call it. Uh studio
line is open six zero three two five zero six zero seven, But there's
there's been a turning. So because it's corporate media, I wonder what's driving
it, if there's something underneath it all we can't see. Or are people
finally on the left side of the corporate media sphere, if you will,
Are people really starting to panic about Biden's age and for the first time really
starting to take it seriously because they're they're turning on Biden. They clearly are
turning on Biden, to the point that somebody came right out. I never
thought i'd see this, but somebody came right out and asked Kamala Harris basically,
hey, what happens if Biden dies? Are you ready to be to
be president? Billy's on the line, Hey, Billy, Hey, how
you doing? Matt good? How are you all right? Oh wow?
I don't know why when I call you, whether it be from my cell
phone or from this landline, I can't hear you very well. I don't
know why either. But but congratulations on those drum tracks on the new Jerry
and the Scumbags album. Oh yeah, yeah, you handled the base pretty
good on that too, dude, Thank you, thank you. Yes,
well it's Matt, so it's my alter ego. Yes, yeah, Well,
what I want to say is, when I attended American Broadcasting School,
is one of the first things I was taught about news is there are two
things that must be avoided when it when it comes to the comes to the
news itself is number one, must be completely unbiased and yellow journalism. And
I'm I see a lot of biasedness, whether it be from the left or
the right, in the mainstream media, and I'm questioning the yellow journalism,
which is basically yellow journalism is just the basic blood and guts of going after
everything and possibly even making stuff up. But yes, I mean I've seen
biasedness from Fox News to the right, see a lot of biasedness from CNN
on the left. That's why I say it's garbage. And I tend to
listen to more independent journalists anymore. Yeah, yeah, absolutely, It's it's
difficult because I mean, I think that some of what you'll get in mainstream
media is certainly valid, but but there is always an agenda behind it.
And again it's like I always say, it's it's you know, they're part
of the corporatocracy. Oh go ahead, Billy, Well there's there's also the
fear porn, and that this is what's made me, uh quit watching the
news a long time ago, before all of all of this fiasco that we
got going on right now, and that that can be seen on the one
movie by what's what's his name? But if you if you ever watch Bowling
for Columbine and I can't forget, remember Michael Moore, I think, yes,
yes, Michael Moore. Yeah, I mean he he. I don't
agree with a lot of the stuff he does, but he sure nailed it
right on the head when he was he crossed the border into Canada and people
were more laid back, more friendly. He crossed the border into back into
the United States and people are all tense. It was into Canada, and
uh, like I said that people are more laid back and friendly and whatnot.
And he's trying to figure out what's the big difference, you know.
And then part part of the solution there was he watched as they tuned into
their to their local news, and it wasn't full of fear porn. Like
you know, you turn on the news, you know you hear whether it's
an escalator writing up the escalator can be dangerous, there's gonna kill you their
vote yes on this, vote no on that. You know, they gotta
they gotta make it so dark, and that that's one thing that has just
really shunned me from the mainstream media for the past twenty years. Yeah,
I don't know. I know what you mean, but I've never quite known.
I don't know what the solution is though, because good news isn't news
generally, you know what I mean. Yeah, yeah, I mean I'm
saying the solution to the you know, why people in Canada were so laid
back and so friendly, and some are admitting they're not locking their doors and
eye but that was twenty years ago, mind you. Yeah, yeah,
I would imagine it hasn't changed too much. And they're armed to the teeth
there, by the way, but they don't, you know, or at
least they were, But they don't have the gun violence, the level of
gun violence that we experience either. Yeah, yeah, exactly. I'll know.
There is some there. There is a rise in some crime though,
with knives and stabbings and things like that going on over there. But then
again, ILAND heard one story about that. Okay, okay, yeah,
yeah, it does seem yeah, but it does seem a little more late,
but they're not going all after all these BS stories, you know,
like be careful how how high you lift you fill up your garbage can or
else you can start a fire when really, you know, I'm just using
that as an example, and there's no proof that that can actually happen,
right right, Yeah, unless you throw a match in there or something,
then you've got a problem. But at that point, it's just yeah,
at that point, it's just Darwin kind of taken over. So whatever happens
happens at that point. Yeah, it's so you know, I mean,
I I just don't I just don't care to watch, you know. I
mean it's like the totally unbiased journalists, you know, like I mean Walter
Cronkite. Obviously everybody knows that he's he was a pretty hardcore leftist, but
more to the point, he didn't let his own, uh personal views get
involved with reporting the news on an unbiased level. Yeah, I think part
of the problem is that trying to appeal to a specific audience seems to have
been a very successful business model for cable news is the problem. And there's
this, I mean, Tucker's biased to the right Chris Quoma's biased to the
left, you know, and that's that's why it's garbage. Yeah, I
think I think it's. But I think it's a successful business model and that's
you know, and it's like I say, it's it's part of that's that's
why it's corporate media, you know, and and the corporations that place advertising
on those channels they want, you know, they want that business model to
continue to be successful. And I think it's and I think that's how we
uh, I think that's how we ended up there. I think it's it's
a it's a business. Corporate media is a business. Yeah, and it
shouldn't be. It really shouldn't be. I mean, it's it's supposed to
be unbiased. But I don't know, I guess that's changed. Yeah,
Yeah, I think you have to you have to really kind of hunt around
online to find, uh, find things that don't have a particular slant necessarily.
My dad sent me something I can't remember what it is now, but
there's there's a website that just has kind of straight news but it but it
can be hard to find those. Now, Oh, your dad sends me
all kinds of stuff that I can't keep up with me too. But that's
all right, that's all right though, it's yeah, that's all right.
Yeah, but anyway, that's that's basically what I wanted to put my two
cents in about is just why I feel and yeah, I'm putting in my
own bias of course, why why I think the mainstream media is just beer
garbage and I refuse to acknowledge them. Yeah, yeah, I hear you.
All right, well, well said Billy. While you're on with us,
do you want to plug your show with You're still doing the show with
John Grovener, right, yeah, yeah, I'm still working with John Grovener
every Tuesday on Patriot Confederation that you can catch on my other YouTube channel.
That's Billy Painter, founder of the Bearded Patriots. That's on Tuesdays at seven
pm Eastern. Outlaw Radio is currently on a hiatus, but soon to come
off. I'm trying to I'm trying to figure out because it's going to be
it's it's gonna be shrunk down from three hours to two hours, and uh
yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna be working on making some changes there. I've
contemplated many times that you know, maybe I'm done doing Outlaw Radio because I'm
just distributing replays from the past. But what stopped me from that is just
remembering how much money and time I've already put into it. Understood, Yeah,
I know. That's uh, that always has to be a consideration with
those decisions, and and that does make it a little more complicated. Certainly,
it's hard. It's harder to walk away from something when you put a
lot of time and money into it, no doubt about it. Yeah,
it's just that. But then at the same time, it's like, do
I really have the energy to do this, you know? And with Patriot
Confederation, it's it's starting to rise and I'm getting I'm I'm getting more inquiries
about that, and I actually do that show on a much more professional level.
Yeah, my dad's been on that show with you and John. Yes
he has, yeah, yeah, yes, he has absolutely. Yeah.
In fact, right now I'm just waiting. I'm waiting to hear to see
if I'm getting another affiliate with the Noble Gold Investments. It's one thing I
think is kind of important with the you know, our the US dollar is
basically living on borrowed time, and they're talking about the digital currency and that's
a whole another discussion for another time. But I think investing in precious metals
would be a very good way to go because if we have anything like an
EMP and the only currency we have is digital, what good is that going
to do? You know, that has to be brought into consideration. And
one thing that's never ever going to lose value is precious metals like gold and
silver and things like that. Yeah, we had a guest on the show,
Aaron Day, who was talking about some of that. He was on
with us recently. And uh and and my dad's talked about that a bit
too. Yeah, now interesting. Yeah, Well, I even heard a
song a long time ago from an artist who's long passed away. It's called
paper money, and and it goes on to about how useless all this paper
currency is from different countries all over the world, and the real value is
in precious metals. Oh, somebody wrote a sign about it, Yeah,
you had it was It was a gentleman by the name of Carl Klang.
And you can find some of his music on YouTube. I guarantee you're not
gonna like a lot of his songs. Plus, I don't think you'd like
his style of music either. Okay, interesting name though, Carl Klang Carl,
last name spelled k L A n G. Okay, interesting. I
might have to check him out just out of curiosity. You never know,
you know, he's well, he's written. He was a Christian artist,
so he did a lot of Christian songs, but then he wrote a lot
of songs based around conspiracy theories and things like that. He've got in fact,
for those that are subscribed to the Bearded Patriots channel. And here the
very beginning of George H. W. Bush talking about the New World Order.
I actually took that from one of his songs. Oh no kidding,
Yeah, Oh that's cool. Yep. Anyway, I'm gonna bounce off of
here. You have a good show, and hopefully Jerry's going to come on
Jerry, Jerry. I sure hope. So all right, Billy, thank
you for the all alright, man, take care, byebye, all right,
our friend Billy Painter always nice here from Billy and h Yeah. Patriot
Confederation with John Grosvenor. That is a that is a weekly show that you
can check out online. And yeah, my dad was on that show a
few months ago. Actually it should be I think you can I don't think
they put them on YouTube. I didn't think to ask him. I think
they put those on rumble. I don't think you can put that show on
YouTube for reasons. But here's what we're gonna do. We are almost at
the top of the hour, so we're gonna go ahead. We're gonna take
our commercial break, show some love to our amazing sponsors, and then we're
gonna play a couple more I'm gonna play them all today over the course of
the show, but I'm gonna play a couple more tracks from the brand new
Jerry and the Scumbags album. It's called Scum of the Earth. It just
came out today, all released online. So this is kind of a world
radio premier. And who knows. At some point in the program today,
I've got a feeling, I've got a feeling we might hear from mister Jerry
Robinson himself. I sure hope so. But so we're gonna take a break,
and then we'll go into the songs, and then we'll be back with
plenty more show for you on this Thursday afternoon. Matt Connerton unleash word to

joined us in the chat room. Of course, Queen's City Cabinetry one of
our great sponsors here at WMNH. And of course, like I said,
I get to hang out with Mike Friday Nights for Retro Spectrum Radio with PAULI
c What was the other thing. You know, we were talking before about
Ellie Honig, the CNN Legal analysts, his comments on his comments on Biden,
and I mean on Hunter Biden, saying that the DOJ was ready to
let Hunter Biden off cheaply before the pressure amped up, and that's why they're
now taking him to trial. I was looking for the thing. Somebody asked
Kamala Harris, Well, we might have to come back to that. Actually,
let's look at this. I was talking earlier about how it seems as
though the mainstream media is really starting to turn on Biden. Not only did
CNN's Elie say what he said regarding Hunter Biden, but there's also a stunning
new CNN poll which shows which Republican has the best shot at beating Biden.
Now this is interesting. Now this is also for media. It says here
a CNN poll out today showed President Biden neck and neck with most of the
twenty twenty four GOP presidential primary field, but one Republican held a clear advantage
above all others polled. Biden was led by former President Donald Trump by just
one point forty six to forty seven percent. Biden and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis
tied with forty seven percent. The same poll showed Trump leading the GOP field
with fifty two percent of the vote, and as I say on the show
all the time, Trump's going to be the nominee. DeSantis was in second
place with eighteen percent, So fifty two to eighteen. Again, Trump's going
to be the nominee. Nicki Hayley, who pulled in third place with seven
percent of the vote, tied with Mike Pence, registered by far the strongest
lead over Biden in a potential matchup. So that's the real news here with
this poll of the field. So we know Trump's going to be the nominee.
If you're if you believe anything else, you're delusional. And yes that
even goes for our governor, whom I like. But Republican Governor Chris Nuno
here in New Hampshire, he's delusional. I say that with respect. But
Nicki Haley is the one who actually, according to this poll, has the
best shot, it would seem, of beating Biden in the general election.
And again this goes to something else that I always say on the show is
that all of these indictments and all this legal trouble. It only strengthens Trump
in terms of becoming the nominee, but it also weakens him in the general
election because I just don't believe he's expanding his base with all of this.
In terms of independence, which is where these elections are won and lost to
a large degree. You know, Democrats will vote for the Democrat, Republicans
will vote for the Republican. It's among the independents, the swing voters that
you really need to be able to to gain their support while also of course
turning out your base. There is also that getting your base energized and motivated
to come out and vote for you. But it says here Nicky Haley,
who pulled in third place with seven percent of the vote in terms of pursuing
the nomination, tied with Mike Pence, registered by far the strongest lead over
Biden and a potential matchup the former South Carolina governor and US Ambassador to the
UN. Haley led Biden forty nine to forty three percent. Haley also had
the strongest support of anyone polled at forty nine percent, with De Santis's forty
seven percent total coming in second CNN summary of the poll, noted quote the
difference is driven at least in part by broader support for Haley than for other
Republicans among white voters with college degrees, fields fifty one percent of that group,
compared with forty eight percent or less for other Republicans tested in the poll.
Mike Pence also beat Biden, leading the president forty six to forty four
percent, the same result as Senator Tim Scott. The poll asked voters about
what would motivate them to turn out if twenty twenty four election came down to
a choice between Trump and Biden. Nearly six and ten registered voters say their
vote in a matchup between Trump and Biden would be largely motivated by their attitudes
toward the former Republican president. Thirty percent say they'd vote for Biden mostly to
express or opposition to Trump, and twenty nine percent said they'd vote for Trump
mostly in an affirmative show of support. Only about one third, by contrast,
said they'd see their votes mostly as a way to cast judgment on Biden.
The poll was conducted between August twenty five and thirty one among about fifteen
hundred adults nationwide. That's a very small sample size, by the way,
fifteen hundred, that's a very small sample size. But uh, look,
it's it's all. I saw a new poll today to showing sixty seven percent
of Democrats don't want Biden to run for reelection. It's just it's it's one
thing on top of another. The President's son going to trout. Look,
you know, you can say whatever you want to about there's no there's no
proof, there's no even actual heart evidence, only circumstantial evidence that President Biden
has anything to do with his son's business ceilings and whether or not his son's
business ceilings, whether his son even did anything illegal. Uh, you know,
in terms of actual business transactions. I understand all of that. But
I'm telling you it's it's yet. You know you've got you've got that,
You've got his son's legal problems and concerns about Biden's age, and like we
talked, we talked about it on the show on Tuesday when Jenny was here.
It's not even about age exactly. It is, but it isn't It
is about age in the sense that you know he's gonna be eighty one in
November. It's not entirely about age, though, and that it's really more
about how one ages, because again I use the example of Bernie Sanders.
Now, whether you like him or not, whether you agree with this politics
or not, just take that out of it for a moment and just think
about Bernie Sanders the person and how he presents when he's given a speech,
when he's interacting with the media, et cetera. And Jenny met Bernie when
he when she went to Washington, DC for one of those events. As
she spoke at he's like a force of nature. And he's even older than
Biden. And I said, you know, if you're if Bernie Sanders is
speaking and you close your eyes and you don't see him, because looking at
him, he looks every he looks every minute of his age. Right,
It's not like he looks young for his age. He does not. But
if you close your eyes and just listen to him, he doesn't say on
any different now than he did five years ago, ten years ago, maybe
a little different than he did twenty years ago. But you know, but
he still seems to be full of vim and vigor. And you know,
so I was making the point that if Bernie Sanders were president right now.
Would age still be an issue, Yes, it would be, absolutely,
but not nearly as much, not nearly to the degree, because no one
would be going, well, Bernie Sanders president. You know, no one
would be saying President Bernie Sanders. He seemed well. First of all,
no one would be saying President Bernie Sanders because he never had a chance of
actually winning the presidency. He was never going to be the nominee. It
looked like he might at a certain point, but it wasn't going to happen.
It might have happened had James Clyburn not endorsed Biden before the South Carolina
primary. But I always say Biden owes his entire presidency to Congressman James Clyburn.
And I don't mean that hyperbolically. I mean that absolutely literally, he
owes this entire presidency to you take Liburn out. Biden is not president today,
and it might have been Bernie Sanders. Who knows. But I'm just
saying, if Bernie Sanders were president today, yes there would be discussion about
his age, but no, no one would be sitting there going I don't
know, I don't know if he's gonna make it. You know, he
seems like he's he seems like someone who's going to live to be a hundred
just because he's got that energy, you know what I mean. And Biden
does not have that energy. I mean, I understand Biden's physically active,
he rides his bike, he's you know, he does exercise. He's thin,
he's certainly not overweight, but he's almost a little too thin. John
Hopwood was saying, I haven't heard from John much this week. Actually,
John was saying one time when he was here, because I was saying that,
you know, because I've never met Joe Biden in person, John Hopwood
has it's been around him and says, you know, he's not he's thin,
but in the way that a man his age should be. He's not
frail. He looks frail when I see Biden on TV. To me,
he looks a little frail. He looks like frailty is set in. But
now John was saying that when you get to that age, it's good to
be thin. It's going to be as thin as possible, actually, because
you don't want to be walking around carrying a lot of weight that you don't
need at that age, because you know your joints are wearing out, your
muscle mass is getting smaller. You don't want to be carrying around a lot
of weight, so better to be thin. Although it's interesting about that is
there's different theories about that. Some will tell you that it's better to be
as thin as possible so you're not carrying around that extra weight. Others will
tell you that, actually, know what you should be doing is you don't
want to be carrying around any fat that you don't need, but you should
actually, rather than being thin in order to stave off frailty, you should
actually be lifting weights and trying to build as much muscle mass as you can.
Not that you should be like Shure. It's an egger at seventy five
and he's still all big and bulky, but you should. You should actually
be trying to put on muscle mass. You don't want fat, but you
do want muscle, because that's how you stave off frailty. To me,
Biden looks a little frail, and I just I think that I hope what
Halperin said was true, that the decision has already been made and they're just
trying to figure out how to go forward. Because look, people, these
polls look you can say all you want to all poles, you can't pay
any attention to polls. Polls are pretty reliable generally, right, of course,
the example people will always use this twenty sixteen. Oh well, the
polls, the polls all said that Hillary Clinton was going to win. Well,
Hillary Clinton. Actually, you know, polls measure the popular vote.
Hillary Clinton did win by three million votes, but she didn't win the electoral
college. That's how our elections work. But I'm telling you, when you
know seven and ten Democrats again, we're not talking about across the spectrum.
We're talking seven and ten Democrats are saying they don't want Biden to seek a
second term. You know, he's just selfish to stay in In my opinion,
Will Vegas is in the chat and says, no, it's not about
age, it's about competency. Let's face it, the last three years our
country has been in the blank, and we look weak around the world.
They care more about their personal interests more than the people in country they lead.
Well, I do think that's generally true of politicians at that level.
Certainly they care more about personal interests than the people in the country that they
lead. I don't agree about the looking weak around the world. I think
there are examples you could cite will, but I also think there's example there's
other examples that would counter that, for example our support for Ukraine and really
kind of unifying NATO. But I do agree about fully about what you say
about personal interests, because, like I was just saying about Biden, I
think he's selfish for him to not be willing to kind of ride off into
the sunset and let some new blood get in there. I think he's been
very selfish and uh, and he clearly does care more about his personal interests.
Scott Robinson says in the chat, just by you talking about Bernie Sanders
makes me realize how corrupt and awful the Democratic National Party is. It's disgusting.
Yeah, well, I assume you're referring to how they kind of well
we've talked about it on the show a lot, but how they really kind
of put their They like to put their thumb on the scale for who they
want, which is usually anybody but Bernie. You know, they did it
for Hillary in twenty sixteen and and for Biden in twenty twenty twenty sixteen.
What I remember about that specifically is because Bernie was well here in New Hampshire
for example, the I'mary and the primary Bernie. Actually I think it was
a statistical tie. But they because of the way they the way the DNC,
the way they portioned their delegates, they made sure that Hillary walked out
of New Nanshire with more delegates than Bernie. But they tried, they did
try to kneecap Bernie. And we've seen on the show. We had Mary
Ann Williamson on the show recently and she didn't get into it too much.
On this show. I tried to kind of I wanted to get her to
say some stuff about it, but maybe she felt that she had gone too
far in a previous interview. But I saw her interviewed on a podcast where
she was talking about how you know, they have campaign events and they've got
an event all set up and ready to go, and then right before the
event they'll get a call from one of the vendors saying, oh, we're
very sorry, we had a we had a last minute scheduling snaff who or
something, and we can't we can't cater your event after all. And it's
like, okay, and you're telling us this at the last minute what's really
going on here? Come on, we know what's really going on here,
and Marianne knows what's really going on there. Right you know, someone someone
is contacting that vendor and saying, you know, I don't know what they're
what? What are they? What are they paying you at the Marianne Williamson
campaign, because we might be able to pay you a little bit more not
to show up, or we might we might be able to, uh,
you know, get you some some business. Maybe you could cater some of
our events in the near future. But if you're gonna cater her event.
And by the way, what are they so afraid of? You know,
they try to ignore Marann Williamson and yet they're they're trying to kneecapper at the
same time, same thing they did to Bernie, you know, try to
pretend like you don't take him seriously while you're trying to undercut him in any
way that you can. So, uh, let's uh, let's play another
song, shall we? If you are just joining us today, we are
featuring some of the music from actually all the music. I'm playing all the
songs today the brand new Jerry and the Scumbags release Scum of the earth out

your spot because trivia is a very popular feature there. But if you just

But U and they also have Big Gay Bingo this weekend as well. So
I don't know why, just that that makes me. That makes me chuckle.
Oh, Billy Painter is asking, do you know what movie he will
review? Oh what did he say? Oh my god, I'm blanking on
what the movie is. Oh it's creep Show. Sorry, Yeah, Stephen
King's Creep Show will be the movie. It was. It was there in
my brain. I just had to bring it forth. Yeah, so that
will be tomorrow. I remember seeing that while we talked about it yesterday during
our segment with Eric. But I remember watching that when I was a kid.
The one with you know that it's split up into four individual stories within
the film, and the one with Leslie Nielsen and Ted Danson. That one
that one really stuck with me. Let's see. Oh and Eon Venom four
that joins us in the Facebook live chat. Hello to Eon Venom four,
who I presume is from Greensboro, North Carolina. One other quick programming note
today is Thursday, which means it's the first Thursday of the month, which
means that tonight, immediately following this program, I'll be doing my monthly call
in to the Doctor Kevin Show, which streams online on the Omtimes radio network
om om Omtimes dot com. I joined Doctor Kevin the first Thursday of every
month for a discussion of politics and current events. I call in from my
phone and we have a we have a discussion. So that will be this
evening. If you don't get a chance to hear it live, of course,
it'll be in the archive on the website hometimes dot com. So I
look forward to that. So Billy Pater said, in the chatroom, you
know, earlier we talked a little bit about Bernie. I was expressing how
if you're just joining us, I was expressing, how if Bernie Sanders were
president right now, because he's even older than Biden, and this has been
a subject recently and the jerontocracy that governs US. I was saying, how
if Bernie were president, it would be age would still be an issue because
he's even older than Biden, but I feel it would be less of an
issue because Bernie doesn't seem diminished in the way that Biden does. Billy said
in the chatroom, my personal opinion, Bernie Sanders is a communist and I
don't like him, but he's sharper than Biden and would have been a better
choice out of the Democrats. Yeah, I do think he's sharp. Like
with Bernie, I don't notice any sort of cognitive decline as far as I've
been able to tell. But with Biden, clearly there is. And by
the way, that's not the same people get people get these things conflated.
I'm not saying I think Biden as dementia or anything like that. I'm absolutely
not saying that, and I don't see any evidence of that. And even
if I did, I'm not qualified to make that diagnosis, and even if
I were, I would have to actually sit down with him to diagnose him.
I'm not saying that. But cognitive decline is just something that happens as
we get older, and it begins at different points for different people. And
again, if you just you know, even uh you know, if you
watch a video of him now versus even a couple of years ago, uh,
you know, there there does seem to be a change. And and
I always say too it to me, it's just unacceptable that we're staring down
the barrel of a probable rematch of Trump versus Biden in twenty twenty something nobody
wants to see. Uh. So, you know, I hope, I
just I hope what Mark Halperin was reporting turns out to be correct. Melanie
says, he's just jealous of Bernie's mittens. Those were some stunning mittens from
the inauguration. That was quite a meme for a while there. If you'd
like to get in with a quick call, because I don't know if Jerry's
gonna make it, uh six o three two five zero six zero seven.
The studio line is open six zo three two five ozho six zero seven.
You know, also text me at six one seven nine one seven four four
seven six. I'm on social media at Matt Connerton. You can email me
Matt at Matt Connerton dot com, and of course you can interact endo Pine
in the Facebook live chat. But the best thing to do so that we
can hear and enjoy your Dulsa tones is give us a call at six oz
three two five six zero seven. Since we are almost out of time and
we have to leave time for the last song of the day, got to
make sure we we leave time for that. But so we'll just do something
quick. And this is something I just happened to see pop up on media,
but I'm just really curious. It says here. This just went up
a few minutes ago. Matt Gates bizarrely attacks House Speaker Kevin McCarthy for greeting
school kids at the capitol and calls it depressingly revealing. I don't know,
I did not preread this. I have no idea what this is about,
but I'm just very curious what the problem is here. According to Congressman Gates,
it says here Florida Republican Representative Matt Gates added a strange new attack to
his war with Republican leader Representative Kevin McCarthy today by bizarrely attacking the speaker for
greeting school children and their families at the Capitol rotunda. Gates dismissively posted that
we quote now know what the Speaker has been doing instead of unquote issuing a
subpoena for Hunter Biden and a couple of other things. Quote Kevin thinking this
was the video we needed at this moment is depressingly revealing. We need a
speaker, not a greeter, all right? That seems very petty, even
for Congressman Matt Gates, does it not. Gates was quote replying to McCarthy
sharing a video in which the speaker is seen greeting visitors and asking where they're
from. McCartney had tweeted with his video quote, it doesn't matter where you're
from. Our capital is open and yours to visit. As long as I'm
speaker, the People's House will always be open to the people. Unquote.
Seems innocuous enough. You wouldn't think anyone would have a problem with that,
would you. Gates has been pushing for an impeachment inquiry and the President Joe
Biden and his family's business stealings, and has warned McCarthy to act or get
out of the way. Apparently McCarthy must, according to Matt Gates, must
be spending every waking moment of the day on this very important initiative and must
not be greeting school children. That is unacceptable. Get back to work,
Kevin, That's what Matt Gates would say if he were Kevin McCarthy's boss.
Get back to work, Get away from those kids and your hellos and your
greetings and your welcomes, and go impeach somebody. MSNBC's Steve Bennon reported on
a Gates interview with Conservative Radio. Gates said quote, I worked very hard
in January to develop a toolkit for US Republicans to use in a productive and
positive way. I don't believe we've used those tools as effectively as we should
have. That means forcing votes on impeachment, and if Speaker McCarthy stands in
our way, he may not have his job long unquote. Bennon continued that
Gates didn't go into specific details about the strategy as in mind, but the
unsebtled threat directed at his party's House speaker was almost certainly a reference to the
motion to vacate the chair rules that were tweaked in January to make it easier
for GOP members to try to take McCarthy's gavel away. Yes, and we
all remember, of course, when McCarthy became speaker after fifteen votes, he
had to give away quite a bit of to get to the speakership and minor
standing is it only takes one House member to initiate a motion to vacate the
chair. Now, all that does is initiate the motion. It doesn't mean
that Kevin McCarthy sudden wouldn't be speaker anymore. It just means that they would
have to I don't know what the exact process is from there, but I
assume there would be a vote. But if enough people voted to remove him,
they would they would in fact remove him and would have to choose a
new speaker. Oh, it says here McCarthy won the speaker seat after a
whopping fifteen votes in January when he was forced to seed key concessions to MAGA
Republicans, including Matt Gates. So oh, and there's a video in the
article of Speaker Kevin McCarthy greeting families as they're coming in. Wait a minute,
that looks like Matt Gates and the video he's greeting. I'm confused.
Is that what offended Matt Gates? He doesn't want to be one of the
people whose family is greeted. I don't understand. It probably just looks like
Matt Gates, but it's not actually Matt Gates. Although there aren't that many
people who look like Matt Gates outside of Seth McFarlane and Donny Osmond and the
video's taking forever to load. I wanted to see what the I mean,
it doesn't matter, it's a radio show. But it looks like that's It
looks like that is Matt Gates in the video. Can't be though, it
doesn't make sense. Oh, it's this whole the video is this whole production
of him, of Kevin McCarthy. Oh, he must have spent quite a
bit of time greeting people instead of doing the people's business. He's saying hello
to them. I don't know. I might be on team Gates now that
I'm seeing this video anyway, all right, whatever, it's very petty,
very very petty. All right. I do want to make sure we have
time to get this one last song, and you're just a squirrel trying to
get a nut in my world, as the name of the track from Jerry
and the Scumbags the new album Scum of the Earth. And maybe we'll hear
from Jerry tomorrow. But thank you all for joining me today. Don't forget.
I will be on the Doctor Kevin Show calling in in a few minutes
if you'd like to stream that at hometimes dot com. Don't forget Trivia night
tonight at the Hop nut. If you're listening live on WMNH on Thursdays.
Of course, immediately after this show we have through the Stage Doore hosted by
the great Rob die On. And if you miss any part of today's show,
it'll be up in just a little bit at WMH radio dot org and
at my website Matt Connerton dot com. And make sure you're back bright and
early tomorrow morning for the Morning Show with Peter White from seven to nine am,
with a replay from two to four pm right before this show, and
then I'll be on. My musical guest tomorrow afternoon is the band Soda soot

we have retro Spectrum Radio tomorrow night. So lots of good stuff, lots
of good stuff, Thank you all, sow my, and we're gonna leave
you with this one last track. And this is the final track on the
album Scum of the Earth from Jerry and the Scumbags. This is called You're
