Speaker 1: Bruce, I can't hear you, and I don't know why.
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you're just a little far away. Bruce on guitar.
Speaker 1: Very good, very good. Welcome everybody, So we should uh well,
Speaker 1: let's talk first about what's going on tonight, and then
Speaker 1: we'll circle back and remind everybody because this is a
Speaker 1: big deal. You guys got a big show.
Speaker 2: You're playing as fairly tonight. Yes, yes, from Kiss.
Speaker 1: If nobody knew and you got the you got the
Speaker 1: shirt there. I love the shirt. Of course. Kiss is
Speaker 1: my favorite.
Speaker 2: Fand I love Kiss and it's such an honor to
Speaker 2: open for him.
Speaker 1: That is that shirt is an excellent condition. So I
Speaker 1: assume that is not the original.
Speaker 2: From definitely not an original.
Speaker 1: No, very cool, very cool. Have you guys ever opened
Speaker 1: for Ace before? Or how did how did this come about? Oh?
Speaker 2: Just we have an agent that we work with and
Speaker 2: every once in a while he gives us a call
Speaker 2: and says, hey, I got a gig for you. Yeah,
Speaker 2: And nearly fell off my seat when I got that call.
Speaker 1: Yeah, so this is going to be importland at what's
Speaker 1: the venue?
Speaker 2: The Aura?
Speaker 1: The Aura?
Speaker 2: And that was the other thing about it, is like
Speaker 2: it's a theater.
Speaker 4: Yeah, awesome, Yes, definitely a bucket list item.
Speaker 1: Oh, no doubt. Yeah. Is the are you guys gonna
Speaker 1: have I assume you got a photographer who's going to
Speaker 1: be there and stuff and everything or because this is yeah,
Speaker 1: this is a big deal. We got a guy excellent, excellent.
Speaker 1: Will there be any video of it or or does
Speaker 1: that just kind of depend on I'll take.
Speaker 3: Care of the video.
Speaker 1: Excellent.
Speaker 3: We'll be doing the video.
Speaker 1: Excellent.
Speaker 3: My brother Dan is going to be shooting the video.
Speaker 1: Okay.
Speaker 3: Lead singer of the band, Miss Jeff Mile.
Speaker 1: Oh okay, misterf Mile? Are they from here? I don't
Speaker 1: know them?
Speaker 3: They're from the area.
Speaker 1: Okay, cool name, Yeah, thank you, very cool. So now
Speaker 1: the other thing is too, so we'll we'll talk more
Speaker 1: about the show tonight in a moment. But you brought gifts?
Speaker 3: Uh I did?
Speaker 1: Mom? You you mentioned uh I did? You don't forget that.
Speaker 1: You don't forget the g I do not forget that.
Speaker 2: Surprises.
Speaker 1: And for those of you, by the way, for the
Speaker 1: camera's not on me right now because we have the
Speaker 1: camera on the band, but the cameras. But of course
Speaker 1: I'm wearing this beautiful day to a Tend shirt, which I.
Speaker 2: Love to Yes, so all right. So the other reason
Speaker 2: we're here today is to celebrate the release of Falling
Speaker 2: a Week on vinyl. Yes, yes, and we would like
Speaker 2: to give you all fray Oh wonderful. You can take
Speaker 2: it out and we can sign it for you if
Speaker 2: you want.
Speaker 1: Very cool. Yeah, thank you. Yeah, that looks. That looks
Speaker 1: Let me make sure. Yeah, there you go, get the
Speaker 1: camera on you. Oh that is beautiful. That is beautiful,
Speaker 1: and for a reason, let's show them one that's already opened. Well.
Speaker 4: I looked around his studio and everything has a frame
Speaker 4: on it.
Speaker 2: So I if you want check out, check out what
Speaker 2: it looks like oh.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh this is very cool. Oh that's nice. Nice.
Speaker 2: The real oh my god moment is when you slide
Speaker 2: the vinyl out hold it up to the light.
Speaker 1: Oh really, all right, I'm gonna do that right now.
Speaker 2: Let's see. Isn't that pretty?
Speaker 1: Oh that is beautiful. That is beautiful. Actually we should
Speaker 1: have you do that, Jeff. So that because I don't
Speaker 1: have a camera. I don't have a camera on me
Speaker 1: right now, but I want people who are watching online
Speaker 1: to be so cool because this uh yeah, this is
Speaker 1: amazing and this is this is very limited edition, right
Speaker 1: you guys.
Speaker 2: We got a round of two hundred copies made. Okay,
Speaker 2: so yeah, people data to Atten dot com if you
Speaker 2: want to order one. Yeah, we'll ship it right out.
Speaker 2: We'll come to any show, come to the shows of course.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: There's the camera on me now it is. Yeah, so
Speaker 2: that's the uh.
Speaker 1: Wait, no, I'm sorry, actually it's not there. We go, there,
Speaker 1: you go. This is the vinyl falling awake, okay, flipping
Speaker 1: on the back. Yeah, picture and stuff. Yeah, and the
Speaker 1: sleeve in comes out. You got the credits yep, and
Speaker 1: then another one of are awesome, oh fan pictures done
Speaker 1: by Peter Higgins. Okay, and then this, Oh yeah, so
Speaker 1: that was like the beautiful it's called transparent black Ice.
Speaker 3: I kind of like, what's outside right now?
Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah.
Speaker 2: The cool thing is is you're only allowed to I
Speaker 2: don't know if you know this. I don't know when
Speaker 2: this changed, but you're only allowed twenty two minutes per
Speaker 2: side now really, yeah, which is weird because I have
Speaker 2: some records that are longer than that.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I would think so.
Speaker 2: So the album barely fit. Oh maybe hadd it thirty seconds?
Speaker 2: Like none of the extra songs, like yeah, like we
Speaker 2: got three bonus tracks on the CD. Those wouldn't fit,
Speaker 2: but oh okay, the bonus tracks are just radio edit stuff.
Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah. And the other the other thing too
Speaker 2: is we're able to keep it in the sequence that
Speaker 2: it appears on, so that one's yours here.
Speaker 1: Oh thank you? Yeah, no, that's that's awesome. Thank you.
Speaker 1: So actually here, you should hold that up for the
Speaker 1: camera because I don't have this is a framed one.
Speaker 1: Oh that is beautiful. No, I appreciate that. Oh you
Speaker 1: got you got something. I give you that, thank you,
Speaker 1: thank you.
Speaker 2: Very and we brought you in an autograph. Oh yeah,
Speaker 2: like Larry mentioned we have these the barcodes that are
Speaker 2: going to be on all the merchandise.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: If you scan that, it goes to our dot com.
Speaker 1: Oh oh that is awesome. Thank you so much. That
Speaker 1: is beautiful. You guys went all out. Oh one more?
Speaker 1: Oh oh yeah, this one's cool too.
Speaker 2: Eight by ten old school Yeah, I love it, losty
Speaker 2: photo type thing.
Speaker 1: Oh I love it. Yeah, very awesome. Thank you. That
Speaker 1: looks Matt.
Speaker 2: So if you come to Day's Fairly Show tonight, you
Speaker 2: guys can buy vinyl get autographed stuff. We also have
Speaker 2: a fresh load of jewel case CDs. Oh no kidding,
Speaker 2: okay of the album too, So okay, very cool. We
Speaker 2: are ready tonight, yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1: If you're just joining us a day to attend us
Speaker 1: here with us, excuse me live in studio on this
Speaker 1: Saturday morning. Sorry about the cop I was sick like
Speaker 1: back in December and it's been so cold and dry.
Speaker 1: I still have that dry cough. I still get it too, man. Yeah, yeah,
Speaker 1: so many people I know are having the same issue.
Speaker 1: It's this endless barrage of cold, dry air. How long
Speaker 1: are you guys playing tonight? Are you? Are you? You
Speaker 1: get a long.
Speaker 2: Set or want to take it away?
Speaker 5: Bruce, Yeah, I think we got like forty five minutes.
Speaker 1: Yeah, forty five minutes. Yeah, that's great. Yeah are you
Speaker 1: playing are you just playing music from Falling Awake? Are
Speaker 1: you playing some of the older stuff too?
Speaker 2: Or a couple of tracks from the first album? Yeah,
Speaker 2: you know, we want to represent because that's that album
Speaker 2: is available tonight too.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 2: Yeah, heavily on the Falling Awak stuff and then a
Speaker 2: fun cover too.
Speaker 1: Okay, okay, Now, is there anybody else on the show
Speaker 1: or is it just day to attend?
Speaker 2: And then ace there's a van called All Sinners. They'll
Speaker 2: be opening up the show. Okay, yep, they'll be there.
Speaker 3: Really good guys.
Speaker 4: The drummer owns purchase Street Records in New Bedford, Mass.
Speaker 1: Okay, purchase street records. It's called Yeah, okay, Killer Rock.
Speaker 3: Those guys put on a hell of a show.
Speaker 1: It's cool that there's still record stores around, you know.
Speaker 1: That's one of those things that people people have predicted
Speaker 1: would go away by now, you know, but there's there's
Speaker 1: still some and they're and they're doing a lot, you know,
Speaker 1: respectively in their local scenes.
Speaker 2: I just I started collecting vinyl, like six months ago.
Speaker 2: Oh no kidding, And I'm totally vinyl not now.
Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of people do too.
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah. My theory is that when people buy
Speaker 1: new vinyl, like a lot of it. We might have
Speaker 1: talked about this before, but I think a lot of
Speaker 1: people who buy brand new vinyl they never open it,
Speaker 1: like if they're really a fan, a big fan of
Speaker 1: a of an artist, that they just buy it to
Speaker 1: have it maybe, you know, maybe frame it or whatever
Speaker 1: they're going to do with it.
Speaker 3: Yeah, like Jeff's Kiss.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, anopened.
Speaker 2: I do open because I like to listen to it. Yeah,
Speaker 2: something about the sound, and it's awesome. Oh, nothing sounds
Speaker 2: better than vinyl. But I'm into the colored vinyl. Yeah,
Speaker 2: I almost won't buy it unless it's a colored one.
Speaker 2: But oh no kidding, I'm easing up on the colored
Speaker 2: vinyl thing.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 5: I tend to buy two copies sometimes because I want
Speaker 5: one to keep shut and then to open. And yeah,
Speaker 5: and I sometimes I have like a sign one, so
Speaker 5: like I don't want to open the sign one, I'll
Speaker 5: buy another copy.
Speaker 1: That's exactly yeah right right, yeah, no, that makes sense. Yeah,
Speaker 1: that that makes a lot of sense. I used to
Speaker 1: have uh, well, I didn't. I ended up with it.
Speaker 1: I don't know where it is now. It's probably my
Speaker 1: storage unit. But when Kiss came out with the single
Speaker 1: for Unholy back in ninety two, what a great song.
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I have a a it's on white
Speaker 1: vinyl limited edition of just a single.
Speaker 2: Yeah, it was so cool. I remember the first time
Speaker 2: here in that song and just going. I saw the video, yeah,
Speaker 2: just going? What oh same same here?
Speaker 1: Yeah? So good, so good. What else have you guys now?
Speaker 1: Have you been playing a lot of shows or what
Speaker 1: else has been going on?
Speaker 2: As far as shows, we played pretty continuous.
Speaker 1: Yeah, like it seems like you've been busy.
Speaker 2: Yeah, we've been busy. We're starting to write work on
Speaker 2: some new music. Are you excellent? And we're up for anything.
Speaker 2: If anybody's got a good show they want us to do,
Speaker 2: let's go.
Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. Kind of is the new stuff kind of
Speaker 1: in the same vein as has Fallen Awake or.
Speaker 2: We got one new song which we got to get
Speaker 2: back to working on it because it's it's pretty awesome. Heavy,
Speaker 2: It's it's heavy. I think our new stuff is going
Speaker 2: to be pretty heavy. It's going to be heavier.
Speaker 1: I think, Oh cool, yeah, yeah, like the Falling Awake
Speaker 1: album heavy like that.
Speaker 3: Oh really, I think the one before that was it
Speaker 3: won't be like.
Speaker 2: It'll just kind of continue on what we and yet
Speaker 2: like more rocking.
Speaker 1: Yeah.
Speaker 4: So the difference between the new album and the last
Speaker 4: two albums, I think is that all the songs now
Speaker 4: are going to be collectively written by all five of us.
Speaker 2: Okay, we're doing it old school.
Speaker 4: Yeah, as opposed to like a couple of guys that
Speaker 4: have been writing like a bank of songs like Ed
Speaker 4: and Jeff, and then bringing them to the band. We're
Speaker 4: all like, he'll walk in, like Bruce will walk into
Speaker 4: the room and you know, play something, and then Ed
Speaker 4: shoots across the room like he does, Yeah, what.
Speaker 2: Was that that new song started?
Speaker 4: And then within fifteen minutes we're all, you know, playing it. Yeah,
Speaker 4: he starts coming lyrics how we wants them to go?
Speaker 4: And I miss you can't remember her name?
Speaker 2: Yeah, we used to do that back in the day,
Speaker 2: right as a band, and then yeah, things band members
Speaker 2: switching out so often that it got hard to be like, well,
Speaker 2: well we'll just work on stuff ourselves and whoever comes
Speaker 2: in can learn it, you know.
Speaker 4: But so arguably the third album is going to be
Speaker 4: the first true day to attend album.
Speaker 3: Okay from a.
Speaker 2: Certain collective perspective.
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's cool when uh, when it comes together quickly
Speaker 1: like that too. That's how you know you've got something
Speaker 1: when it just sort of organically just comes together. And yeah, yeah,
Speaker 1: I'm excited for you. Oh, thank you so much.
Speaker 3: You know, we just all signed it for you.
Speaker 1: Oh that's awesome.
Speaker 3: Yeah, back in the frame we can do.
Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll take a picture at the end and I'll
Speaker 1: hold it up. Yeah. Nice, beautiful, beautiful. Speaking of shirts too,
Speaker 1: we should mention Tom is wearing a wonderful paper Jam shirt. Uh,
Speaker 1: we've we've got to know them. We've had Chila and
Speaker 1: we love Jam. Yeah, very very cool.
Speaker 3: Some of our favorite people right there.
Speaker 2: Yeah, very supportive of the band. Absolutely.
Speaker 1: Yeah. Last week we had on the show, not Lee Crue,
Speaker 1: the Molly Cruz. Yeah, that was a lot of fun. Yeah.
Speaker 1: We met them through paper Well, actually, well I shouldn't
Speaker 1: say we met them through paper Jam, because it turned
Speaker 1: out I knew two of the guys, but one of
Speaker 1: the guys I went to high school with. But but
Speaker 1: they didn't like it. Was kind of like they tried
Speaker 1: to keep it a surprise, like who was actually in
Speaker 1: the band, you know, because they showed up in full costume.
Speaker 1: But it was a lot. Yeah, that was a lot
Speaker 1: of fun. That was a lot of fun. Not we crew, Yeah,
Speaker 1: but yeah, Paper Jam is doing great things. Love what
Speaker 1: they're love what they're doing. Uh, you guys of course
Speaker 1: had that that big feature. That was great. Yeah, that
Speaker 1: was fantastic. Yeah, yeah, I've got that at home now.
Speaker 1: Uh who else? Uh? Who else are you playing with?
Speaker 3: Like?
Speaker 1: What else do you have coming up? As far as
Speaker 1: after tonight? Do you have more shows booked?
Speaker 2: Or we have a March eighth at Charlie's Hill in Lebanon, Maine.
Speaker 1: That's a venue then a lot. Yeah, I've never been there,
Speaker 1: but that name comes up so much on the show
Speaker 1: Charlie's Hill.
Speaker 4: You'll never find a more friendly atmosphere and better sound
Speaker 4: than Charlie's Hill in Lloyd's.
Speaker 1: Okay, And that's oh, thank you so much. And where
Speaker 1: where is that again?
Speaker 2: So it's in Lebanon, Maine, in the middle of nowhere
Speaker 2: really yeah, And you drive in there and you're like,
Speaker 2: I'm gonna be killed and you walk in and it's
Speaker 2: like a nightclub from Boston. Oh god, it's really cool
Speaker 2: in nineteen seventy six.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yea.
Speaker 2: So once you walk in and realize you're not going
Speaker 2: to be murdered and your car is going to be
Speaker 2: buried out back, you realize this place is cool. Yeah,
Speaker 2: and we have a blast there. We just played there
Speaker 2: last weekend actually, okay, Yeah, Mike and Terry run it.
Speaker 1: We love them.
Speaker 2: Very supportive of the band that they're coming to the
Speaker 2: show tonight.
Speaker 1: Oh, very cool. Yeah, verty cool. Yeah. Everything I hear
Speaker 1: about Charlie still is is fantastic.
Speaker 2: It's great. It's good for just brocking out. Is there?
Speaker 1: Is it like kind of it sounds like it's pretty
Speaker 1: like this. Is there not any other venues around there
Speaker 1: or is that kind of?
Speaker 2: It's literally like food they they they don't serve out.
Speaker 2: They don't serve alcohol, so you can bring your own
Speaker 2: beer and we like when we can do that, right,
Speaker 2: but nothing.
Speaker 4: They got like the Yeah, sometimes they have a food truck. Yeah,
Speaker 4: magic vendors.
Speaker 2: That's really cool. Yeah, that's awesome.
Speaker 1: That sweet.
Speaker 2: They do a lot of death metal festivals there too,
Speaker 2: with you know, death metal bands with the logos you
Speaker 2: can't understand what it says.
Speaker 3: Yes, they have laugh love fast they do.
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's how we first were introduced to that place,
Speaker 2: playing one of those, not the death metal I was
Speaker 2: going to live fast.
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what they do. Okay, No, it's funny. Way
Speaker 1: you were saying about the death metal bands. I've been
Speaker 1: complaining about that since the day is when I worked
Speaker 1: at when I worked at Strawberries back in the day,
Speaker 1: and i'd be putting like, you know, like some of them,
Speaker 1: like Cannibal Corpse, I could kind of read their logo,
Speaker 1: although their album covers would give me nightmares. Some of
Speaker 1: them would probably give Satan nightmares. But but yeah, a
Speaker 1: lot of the logos like you can't even read them,
Speaker 1: and it's like, I don't I've never understood, like from
Speaker 1: a branding in market, like why would you do that?
Speaker 2: And then when you see the poster with fifty of
Speaker 2: them together, like, oh my god, like the brain is gone.
Speaker 1: You're right right, yeah, no, it's uh yeah, it's it's
Speaker 1: pretty wild. So you've got yeah, so you've got Charlie's Hill.
Speaker 1: And then I imagine like once we get into spring,
Speaker 1: you'll be playing a lot, playing a lot more.
Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, we're kind of putting the feelers out there.
Speaker 2: We'd like to try. We want to get into some
Speaker 2: new venues, some new areas.
Speaker 4: And we won two spots over at the.
Speaker 3: The Looney Bin.
Speaker 4: Was that the Battle of the Bands where we won
Speaker 4: two spots for both Full Throttle?
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, we'll be playing there in the summer, right,
Speaker 2: we have one guld do one show there is that
Speaker 2: we're doing.
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think they give us two shows for bike week.
Speaker 2: Yeah, where we won the battle band? Yeah?
Speaker 1: Where was that? Okay? Where you want?
Speaker 2: Is it the Full Throttle Saloon? Is that what it's called?
Speaker 2: You guys aren't playing.
Speaker 4: Here now, spot Those people couldn't.
Speaker 2: Be more.
Speaker 3: So understanding.
Speaker 2: But we're open for business. I mean, yeah, well we should.
Speaker 2: We like sharing stuff with bands, so we're up for anything.
Speaker 1: You know.
Speaker 2: Hopefully some more national acts stuff will probably come about
Speaker 2: this year.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but we.
Speaker 2: I mean, we'll open for somebody, we'll close for you,
Speaker 2: we'll play in the middle. We just like to play. Yeah.
Speaker 1: Yeah, I should ask you too about so falling Awake?
Speaker 1: Where was that? I'm sure we talked about this last
Speaker 1: time you were here, But for those who are hearing
Speaker 1: you for the first time, where was that recorded? Because
Speaker 1: or oh, that's right. I remember now it's coming back
Speaker 1: to me.
Speaker 2: I was basically my basement in our jam space.
Speaker 1: I remember being surprised because it sounds like it was
Speaker 1: done at a million dollar recording studio.
Speaker 2: It really does, thank you because I spent a lot
Speaker 2: of time on that. So yeah, free to hear.
Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, what about the mastering, I do that too,
Speaker 1: You do that too? Yeah? Wow, yeah, it's it just
Speaker 1: sounds so good. Yeah.
Speaker 2: I tried paying people to master and I get them
Speaker 2: back and I'm like, I can do this better myself.
Speaker 2: So oh, no kidding, I just do it. I just
Speaker 2: do it. I mean to send it to the guys
Speaker 2: and then you know, they give me the yep it's good,
Speaker 2: and then yeah, then they usually mess with it some
Speaker 2: more and then try again.
Speaker 1: I'm never a rake. I don't know.
Speaker 2: I just get to that point where I know it's done.
Speaker 1: Yeah. You have a talent for it, though, if you
Speaker 1: if you recorded other bands or mastered other bands.
Speaker 2: So I've I've done mastering for other bands. I've been
Speaker 2: asked to record for other bands. But the thing is
Speaker 2: is like I couldn't, like, like it would be too expensive,
Speaker 2: like a dollar fifty a Yeah, it was like, you know,
Speaker 2: like it's like for the time you got to make
Speaker 2: some money for it, but the time that I put
Speaker 2: into something because I want it to be quality, right,
Speaker 2: it just wouldn't benefit like it would benefit the band.
Speaker 2: But then i'd really be working for like pennies.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, that's understandable.
Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's more like a labor love thing.
Speaker 5: Like you're already you're so attached to the Yeah.
Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, it's like I would love to record bands,
Speaker 2: but yeah, it would just take it if I could
Speaker 2: do it for a job, and that's all I had
Speaker 2: to do. Yeah, sure, let's go.
Speaker 1: Right right, Yeah, no doubt.
Speaker 5: No.
Speaker 1: He was like I said, you definitely have a talent
Speaker 1: for it. Did that happen with Falling Away? You mentioned
Speaker 1: you've you've sent things out to others to master and
Speaker 1: not not been happy with it.
Speaker 2: Did you do that with Falling awakere But this was
Speaker 2: like the other you know, like older Oh okay, yeah
Speaker 2: that I did that. I tried some Yeah, I tried
Speaker 2: a Berkeley person once.
Speaker 1: Oh really yeah.
Speaker 2: It was horrible sounding. I'm like it was really low.
Speaker 2: I'm like, dude, he's I have a little like it
Speaker 2: so quiet? Oh, that's industry standard, he said. I go, no,
Speaker 2: it's not industry standard. Is cranking. Yeah, and then he
Speaker 2: sent it cranking and it was all distorted, and I'm like,
Speaker 2: I'm done. You're just like you're mocking me now Yeah. Yeah,
Speaker 2: Well I.
Speaker 1: Guess he's a student for a reason. Yea. Hopefully hopefully
Speaker 1: eventually figured oh we.
Speaker 2: Got better at it.
Speaker 3: He got his money back.
Speaker 1: Yeah, no kidding, But I like doing it. Yeah, yeah, no,
Speaker 1: that's that's great. Like I said, everything sounds so good,
Speaker 1: very professional.
Speaker 2: It's a double edged sword because it's like I can
Speaker 2: do it myself, but like sometimes I just takes do it.
Speaker 2: It takes so long to do it because I'm so picky.
Speaker 2: But then on the other end, I don't have to
Speaker 2: pay somebody this huge money to do it.
Speaker 1: Was continuous bloom downe all the same same thing. Yeah, yeah,
Speaker 1: right in the basement.
Speaker 3: Of the reasons why we put up with this boloney.
Speaker 2: Yeah, you want a record, you play with me.
Speaker 3: There you go.
Speaker 1: Well that's a pretty good selling point. You know, make yourself.
Speaker 2: But I would love to record of the bands. I
Speaker 2: just don't. It's a time issue. Yeah, and then i'd
Speaker 2: have to charge too much right right, ask these guys
Speaker 2: that Jesus Jeff, you sent us a track at one
Speaker 2: a m. Don't you got to get up for work?
Speaker 1: Yep?
Speaker 2: But I got up.
Speaker 1: Yeah, So caffeine's for right sleeping. I'm dead, So I
Speaker 1: know we're on. You guys are on a tight schedule
Speaker 1: because you got to get to uh, you got to
Speaker 1: get up to Portland. We get it roll Yeah, yeah, no,
Speaker 1: I'm I'm excited for you though. This is a great
Speaker 1: opportunity and if you are just joining in a day
Speaker 1: to attendants here with us in studio. They are opening
Speaker 1: tonight for Ace Frehley at the Aura. Yeah, and where
Speaker 1: direct support for Ace. Yeah, that means we go on
Speaker 1: right before him. That's fantastic.
Speaker 2: I gotta say I've been waiting since nineteen seventy eight
Speaker 2: for this moment.
Speaker 1: Yeah, when I first got in the kiss no kidding, Yeah, Yeah,
Speaker 1: that's very good.
Speaker 3: All comes to a head tonight.
Speaker 2: That's like your hero, Yeah it is?
Speaker 1: Yeah? Is he? Is he? Here? Is he what got
Speaker 1: you into playing guitar? Exactly? No kidding? Rock? Yeah, Yeah,
Speaker 1: it's funny. I saw an interview with him once, this
Speaker 1: wasn't long ago, where he said something about if he
Speaker 1: knew he was going to be such an influence on people,
Speaker 1: he would have practiced more. Yeah, because from a tech
Speaker 1: from a purely technical standpoint, he's not the greatest. But obviously,
Speaker 1: you know, Kiss is my favorite band, so I get it.
Speaker 1: It's not about he's got that. It's a feel he
Speaker 1: has when he plays. And just like I was saying, Tom,
Speaker 1: he doesn't have the he's not a great singer, but
Speaker 1: he just has a cool voice, right, you know. Yeah,
Speaker 1: and it's just like that's ace and it's like almost
Speaker 1: like cheesy kind of sounding.
Speaker 2: So amazing. Yeah, his new album ten Thousand Volts is fantastic.
Speaker 1: Yeah, it is really good. I like it a lot.
Speaker 1: I like it a lot. Yeah, And he's the ultimate
Speaker 1: rock star to me growing up, you know. Yeah, And
Speaker 1: he's got such a weird the way he picks, Yeah,
Speaker 1: the way he just pick it so strange. I've seen
Speaker 1: very few I feel like I've seen other guitar players
Speaker 1: who pick the way he does, but not many of them,
Speaker 1: you know what I mean. Yeah, like very very unusual,
Speaker 1: very unusual approach. But uh so, will we'll let you
Speaker 1: guys go in a minute. And of course we got
Speaker 1: to get a picture with with this wonderful, wonderful stuff
Speaker 1: that you brought. But so are there still tickets available
Speaker 1: for tonight for people who are here in this live
Speaker 1: who want to go?
Speaker 2: So yeah, I was told the other two days ago
Speaker 2: that they're over the eight hundred tickets sold, and I
Speaker 2: believe the venue holds a thousand.
Speaker 1: Okay, so so it'll probably be a sold probably gonna
Speaker 1: end up being if not, Yeah, outsandy, outstanding.
Speaker 4: This whole day feels like a make a wish, feels
Speaker 4: like we just want a contest, like be a rock
Speaker 4: staff for a day. Yeah, start the morning at the
Speaker 4: radio station, get over to the hotel, or load in
Speaker 4: with it, you know, sound check with age Yeah you know, yeah,
Speaker 4: no big deal.
Speaker 2: He's literally going to be sent like we they sent
Speaker 2: us an hour by hour schedule for tonight. Okay, he's
Speaker 2: literally going to be soundchecking when we load in and
Speaker 2: then we get an hour soundcheck, which is crazy.
Speaker 4: You know.
Speaker 2: I was like, that's awesome. But it's a professional show
Speaker 2: to the max, and we feel lucky to be able
Speaker 2: to do it. And we just have a great contact
Speaker 2: that I've worked with for a long time, who just yeah,
Speaker 2: I'm so fils.
Speaker 3: For the opportunity.
Speaker 1: You my kidd, and thank you.
Speaker 3: Bernie.
Speaker 1: My only suggestion, Oh is it? Is it Bernie from
Speaker 1: New England concert? Bernie? What else? His last name?
Speaker 2: Hula?
Speaker 1: I haven't seen him in twenty in twenty years, that's
Speaker 1: our man. But yeah, Bert Bernie is awesome. Bernie is
Speaker 1: Bernie's great. I was gonna say the one suggestion I
Speaker 1: would replace. You said lucky. You're humble, and that's awesome,
Speaker 1: but I would replace lucky with fortunate because luck. When
Speaker 1: you say lucky, it implies that you didn't earn it.
Speaker 1: You guys, you guys, are you guys have earned I agree,
Speaker 1: you guys have worked very hard. You've earned this opportunity. Nice,
Speaker 1: thank you and yeah, it's true. Yeah, we appreciate that.
Speaker 1: And it's really cool because it's like, you know, we're
Speaker 1: five guys from Manchester here that were you know, based
Speaker 1: out of Manchester. We just have a good time playing
Speaker 1: music and we we got this wonderful opportunity to show
Speaker 1: people what we do to yeah, and the stars aligned.
Speaker 1: We got the you know, the vinyls ready to go
Speaker 1: and the new set of CDs and all our merch
Speaker 1: wait to see our beautiful merch table Tom designed.
Speaker 4: Oh really, sir, excellent, Yeah, coming tonight. Yeah, and I
Speaker 4: want to say happy birthday to my sister Liz.
Speaker 2: Happy birthday, thank you.
Speaker 1: Yeah, Happy birthday, Liz. Very good, very good, Thank you, Matt. Absolutely, guys,
Speaker 1: So well, I know you got a roll and make
Speaker 1: sure people. Of course you can't make it to the show,
Speaker 1: you can buy the album on digital. It's on all
Speaker 1: the digital elements, all right. So we're gonna wrap up
Speaker 1: this segment with not coming back by day to attend.
Speaker 1: They are playing tonight in Portland, opening for Ace Frehley
Speaker 1: at the Aura. So congratulations guys, thank you, and you
Speaker 1: got it.
Speaker 3: Thanks Matt,
