3:39 you guys get involved working together? Actually the first studio I went to Bad

3:46 Bones Records. Shout out Mike Martel. Yeah playing drums. Yeah, yeah,

3:52 we just we just kind of got together on at a studio and met

3:55 through a mutual friend. Shout out be ghost and we has kind of been

4:00 playing working on music ever since. Cool cool. The track that we heard

4:04 you were Alive. I really like that. Thank you You're I I love

4:09 the positivity and that seems to be a theme with a lot of your music

4:12 big time. Yeah, there's a lot of stuff that was like I was

4:15 in kind of a low place and listening to certain lyrics. It's it's important

4:19 to put those lyrics that somebody might remember later on in the day or the

4:24 next morning that might help them get up. And that's what I am for.

4:31 Are all of your lyrics kind of kind of in that vibe? I

4:34 mean, do you have anything that's darker or is it all pretty pretty positive?

4:39 On every once in a while there's a there's a dark song that comes

4:43 up. I actually have on a good Man project that I have. Everything's

4:46 available on Spotify, Apple, all that stuff. Yeah, Goodman project.

4:49 I have a song where it's a three conversation piece where talking to the devil

4:56 about signing your selling your soul and as God and stuff like that. Oh

5:00 wow, and we disguise the voices, so it's three different conversations. Really

5:04 fun. I want to do a music video perspective character speaking eventually. But

5:09 that's uh, there's I mean, there's a couple of them. Yeah,

5:14 yeah, that's the one that sticks out to me. That was always my

5:15 favorite. Yeah that sounds fascinating. Yeah. Absolutely. Now, when you

5:19 perform live, typically in a venue, is are you guys, do you

5:24 guys do this a lot together or any chance we get Yeah and more for

5:28 sure. Yeah, very cool, very cool. Yeah, it's different.

5:30 You know, we do the acoustic guitar and the hip hop, so it's,

5:33 uh, it's different for people. You know, it's most people walk

5:39 away going yeah that was cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah, no doubt,

5:42 no doubt. Well I'm dying to hear I'm dying to hear how this

5:45 sounds. I know you guys are gonna do a few songs for us,

5:54 I'm just really excited. Uh. The whole purpose of coming here is telling

5:57 you about the On June twenty ninth, we're gonna have a Walmart show.

6:06 twenty one thirty. Shout out twenty one thirty. Last year we got to

6:11 be able to do this eclectic concert out front. It was hot dogs,

6:14 you know, bergers, all that stuff, everything that you get, face

6:16 painting, donating money. Everything went towards CMN for Boston Chilton's Hospital. Oh

6:23 wow. And this year there was a buzz in the air and they came

6:26 back and said that we could do it again and awesome. Yes that's very

6:30 cold, like that is like and the crazy story behind that is I started

6:34 m seeing twenty years ago right across the street, no kidding. So that's

6:39 like a personal goal for me, and be able to do something good with

6:42 it is huge. I'm just really excited and you don't usually that's not the

6:46 kind of thing you usually associate with Walmart. No, you know, being

6:48 able to do a concert, no shows, you know. You know how

6:53 it started, honestly, like another thing that I'm proud of. It started

6:58 with giving a and a ride to work. She was the personnel manager at

7:01 the time one of and I asked about the charity stuff. It's like,

7:05 yeah, this performance count towards donation time, and she said yeah, so

7:11 I said, oh, oh wow. And then the whole store kind of

7:14 got on board with it and we all just kind of came together and had

7:15 this huge event. We raised eleven hundred dollars out there. We have a

7:19 month so you know, when you go to the store and they're like,

7:21 hey, you want to round up money, you know, round up the

7:25 dog. That's what it's going to in June. Okay, CMN Boston Children's

7:29 Hospital. So last year total June we raised fifty five hundred no kidding,

7:32 that was pretty cool. That's all. That's like like the end goal.

7:35 And then we report how much we raised throughout the month and it's really awesome.

18:38 like Sabbath and Alice Cooper, so we're very much along that lines. We

18:42 play everywhere anywhere. There led a dirty little rock band, you know,

18:47 we we love it. Nice nice? Are you the lead singer in that

18:49 band? Yeah? I sing, I play some some rhythm stuff and uh

18:52 yeah again you know we've been I started the Ghost in twenty ten with just

18:57 an idea, same thing as Joe was saying, I started it, uh

19:02 when when things were tough and I needed I needed music, you know,

19:06 And I mean I think music can save us if we can figure out how

19:08 to let it for sure, you know. Ye. But yeah, so

19:12 uh yeah, me and you know, me and him started just messing around,

19:17 and uh, this is a little bit different from me. Like I

19:18 said, the hip hop thing is much it's way out of my element.

19:26 know. We go play places where it's some very hardcore hip hop and then

19:30 we put a little bit of that dynamic in it and people are like that

19:41 didn't expect that here because a lot of the time too, they're like,

24:37 So those records got, you know, burned into my brain completely.

24:41 But uh, yeah, I I love music. I think a good song

24:44 can come from anywhere, you know. Yeah really yeah? But yeah,

24:48 do you is guitar your only instrument or do you play? It seems like

24:52 everybody I talked to you these days they play like multiple instruments. Oh yeah,

24:56 I was saying play. I play rhythm guitar. I play a little

24:57 bit of piano and stuff too, but you know that's pretty much it.

25:02 Yeah, drums, you know, I give props to drummers, you know,

25:04 yeah, you know. Yeah, drummers are a consistent topic on the

25:10 show because everybody we were just in fact with the guys we just had on

25:14 from Texas. How like every drummer is in multiple bands because there's never enough

25:18 drummers to go around. Yeah, and I do. I do have a

25:21 drummer that I work with, Dan Fishbeine, and he is in multiple bands.

25:26 I'm always trying to say, hey, let's come through and do some

25:30 stuff. Let's rehearse some stuf say well, I got band practice would first

25:33 and that night, that night, that night, all different bands. I'm

25:36 like, wow, yeah, Well my theory about that has always been Jenny's

25:40 heard me say this a lot on the show that you know, when you're

25:42 growing up and you start wanting to play a musical instrument, you got to

25:45 have the conversation with the parents about it. If you say, well,

25:48 I want to be a drummer, you know that and the tuba are the

25:52 two that they're going to try to discourage you from because they don't want all

25:53 that sound, you know, all that noise, especially if you go you're

25:56 going to play drums, son, you better get good at it, right

25:59 right, And they actually say that too. But drummers are like intelligent.

26:03 There's like a lot they say it like they're really smart. Yeah, what

26:23 your creative process? There's a beat wise. First of all, I totally

26:30 work with t I dub amplified audio out of Dover, New Hampshur. He's

26:37 he is my primary recording place. Like he helps me a lot, and

26:42 there's like a lot of respect back and forth. He does sound everywhere that

26:47 he can. He's doing the Walmart Show sound amplified audio. But he does

26:52 beats. I'll push his beats all day long. Fifty dollars a beat,

26:56 look him up. I'm sure he's got some least prices on that stuff.

26:59 But my son confide, Uh, he he makes a bunch of beats for

27:04 me. Mike murd usually, uh this last. I have a project called

27:11 The Mantra where it gets back to that wake up in the morning, good

27:17 lyrics stuff. And I totally targeted Pete Rock and I've got a bunch of

27:22 I've got three tracks by Pete Rock that I have been performing called the Mantra.

27:26 Got a nice cover. Yeah, I don't know. I just kind

27:32 of write so whatever we can, I don't I don't know. Yeah.

27:34 Usually when I hear somebody that inspires me, I'm like, oh man,

27:38 that just makes me want to go right, I'll find a beat, you

27:41 know ye. Listening sessions like t I Dub comes over every once in a

27:48 while Sunday mornings and says, Hey, I got a bunch of beats I

27:51 want to play for you. Let's check this out. Yes, always good

27:52 Sunday mornings. Love that. Now, how does that process work? Because

27:57 and this is something we were talking about this recently with Oh who is that

28:03 we had on the show recently who really kind of Oh Hope the Rapper kind

28:07 of explained in detail about how that works. But you know, in terms

28:11 of buying beats or leasing beats or how does that process work with with your

28:18 guys, I don't really. I mean, it's more of a close relationship

28:22 with whoever I make beats with ye and get beats with. It's usually just

28:26 pam flat out yea all the day. Yeah. But the leasing can get

28:29 really like they can charge X amount and then when you get X amount of

28:33 streams you have to give somebody some money and all that stuff. I see,

28:36 I didn't know about I didn't know about that part of it specifically until

28:40 Hope was talking about it and he explained how that all works and how complicated

28:45 it gets. And I didn't know about that part. Like I knew that,

28:48 you know, you can buy beats or you can lease beats, and

28:49 but I didn't know about the limits on streaming and what can happen if that

28:55 limit succeeded and all that. I had no idea. I've always wanted to

29:00 get a lease through Static Selecta, get a couple of beats off of him.

29:04 That's obviously a good name to use, and he's he's always on point

29:08 with the beats. Speaking of he actually he worked with Marlon Kraft a couple

29:12 of times. He's got it. He shouted him out on one of his

29:17 projects and that was like, ooh, small connection. That's cool, like

29:22 listening to this guy. And now he's working with the local legend that was

29:25 out here. Now he's out there, So dope. Have you got to

29:27 do any live shows where you open with somebody who's who's really inspired you,

29:32 who's kind of a kind of a dream opportunity. We've opened for a couple

29:36 of people, Terminology, Cloud nine and Hampton Let's see uh Rex out of

29:45 mass We did that at the Brick House in Dover. Who else? Jeez,

29:52 I know there's a couple. I just can't think of it. I

29:56 can't think of it. Terminology Rex, Oh, we the Soul Rebels.

30:03 I got to open up with the old crew that I rocked with back in

30:07 the day with the Soul Rebels at the press room, and they are just

30:11 an awesome funk band from I believe New Orleans. I can't remember. Oh,

30:15 but they've done. They did a wicked dope rendition of Phil Collins in

30:19 the air tonight. That was really cool. Yeah. Yeah, I highly

30:23 suggest looking them up. But that's all I can think of right now.

31:26 because there's actually like three other Asthmatics out there right right, it's there's one

31:30 in Britain. I think there's one in Australia. Actually, one time some

31:34 guy hit me up. He's like, if you I'm gonna hit you with

31:37 a season desist. If you don't you remember that from it was years ago.

31:41 Yeah, Facebook, I did a I did a Facebook page and he

31:45 was like, if you don't cease and desist, we're gonna take you to

31:47 court and take everything you got, blah blah. I was like, well,

31:49 that's not gonna stop me. So, uh, real name, no

31:52 Gimmicks it is there. You go like, I'm not playing with that,

31:55 but us can still yell at asthmatic. My friends know. And then it's

31:57 if you're at a show and I say it, yeah no, yeah,

32:00 yeah, that was actually similar with the Ghost I was originally just gonna call

32:05 the band ghost Road in twenty ten, and then you looked it up and

32:07 there was a lot of them, Yeah, already copywritten and stuff. So

32:09 like melodies from Ghost Road melodies boom boom, Yeah, great man. I

32:15 highly suggest go out and see that. I remember that you guys were doing

32:17 ports Pass last year and I walked up and they were rock in front of

32:22 where was it Hervey's tire? Yeah, and he always actually goes way out.
