27:34 Speaker 4: All right, Lid Liquor is my first album that I've

27:37 Speaker 4: done one hundred percent all by myself. I didn't have

27:39 Speaker 4: any help. I didn't have any guests musicians this time around. None,

27:43 Speaker 4: none at all.

27:43 Speaker 6: Wow.

27:44 Speaker 4: Okay, No, I did the whole thing myself, and I

27:48 Speaker 4: wanted to try something different from everything else I've done

27:52 Speaker 4: so far, so I went for the Oregon Trio distorted

27:56 Speaker 4: bass sound. Yeah you know, yeah, I said, bunch of

28:00 Speaker 4: rules at the beginning of the album. I usually do

28:02 Speaker 4: that at the beginning of each album. Set a bunch

28:04 Speaker 4: of rules uh to follow and uh stay by and

28:08 Speaker 4: it kind of like it changes the album and it

28:12 Speaker 4: crafts it like that weird way that you're looking for.

28:15 Speaker 3: Do you find that doing that doing it that way,

28:17 Speaker 3: like setting rules? Does it help you? Because I would

28:20 Speaker 3: imagine when you're doing see I've never done anything like that,

28:22 Speaker 3: but I would imagine when you're doing something all yourself

28:24 Speaker 3: where it's literally all you. It's probably easy to get

28:28 Speaker 3: distracted or kind of wander off into different directions with

28:31 Speaker 3: it as you're going and maybe get away from your

28:33 Speaker 3: original vision.

28:34 Speaker 7: Does it?

28:34 Speaker 4: Also, like in my past work, I've I've used everything

28:39 Speaker 4: I could find under the sun. Yeah, you know, synthesizers,

28:43 Speaker 4: special effects, contact mics, just like, uh everything, you know,

28:49 Speaker 4: all these different sounds, anything I could think of, anything

28:52 Speaker 4: I could find I used to use i've in the past. Yeah,

28:56 Speaker 4: And I didn't want that. I didn't want a bunch

28:58 Speaker 4: of samples. I wanted something that would be like more

29:01 Speaker 4: attractive towards other musicians to come and play with me

29:05 Speaker 4: because I've been trying to build a live band. I've

29:08 Speaker 4: been trying to build a live band for a long time,

29:10 Speaker 4: and I was trying to do that in my last album.

29:13 Speaker 4: And I had my friend Jason on drums, but he

29:15 Speaker 4: doesn't want to go out live, okay, you know, so

29:19 Speaker 4: like that's why I didn't have him on the new album. Really,

29:21 Speaker 4: that's like the only reason I didn't have because I

29:24 Speaker 4: wanted anybody I was I was searching for a drummer,

29:27 Speaker 4: so like I wanted it to be open in case

29:30 Speaker 4: I found one while I was during the recording session.

29:34 Speaker 4: Because this took me two years to make this. Wow,

29:36 Speaker 4: that way longer than anything else I've ever done. You know,

29:40 Speaker 4: it's it's way more minimalist, but it took me so

29:43 Speaker 4: much longer.

29:43 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, is it?

29:45 Speaker 7: Uh?

29:46 Speaker 3: Is it something that you think you'll do again? Like, like,

29:48 Speaker 3: I don't know if you're already thinking ahead to the

29:49 Speaker 3: next album.

29:50 Speaker 4: With the I don't know. See. Okay, So I found

29:53 Speaker 4: a drummer. Yes, it's not her though, No, no, no,

29:58 Speaker 4: I don't think she plays any instruments. Just oh right right,

30:05 Speaker 3: Sure, sure, okay, you know, but yeah, I thought I.

30:08 Speaker 4: Found a drummer. I've been playing with him for the

30:10 Speaker 4: past couple of months, and the sounds already changing. Oh

30:13 Speaker 4: really yeaeah, so like I have no idea what it's

30:15 Speaker 4: gonna sound like moving forward.

31:07 Speaker 4: played Illinois Show. Oh yeah last week? Oh yeah, yeah yeah, yeah,

31:11 Speaker 4: you know, I played everywhere like I played the Button Factory.

31:15 Speaker 4: I've played, uh where if I played. I've just played

31:18 Speaker 4: a lot of shows. Yeah I don't, but I don't

31:22 Speaker 4: have anything planned for moving forward for a while. I yeah, uh,

31:28 Speaker 4: I got I got Terminus in October, okay, and then

31:32 Speaker 4: I'm I'm putting on Okay, so I'm putting on a

31:34 Speaker 4: show myself that I'm not going to play and unless

31:37 Speaker 4: I have to, it's called thank you bass player. Oh

32:23 Speaker 4: You bass Player. And I had nine bass players like

32:27 Speaker 4: twice a week, yep, for the whole month. So every

32:29 Speaker 4: Wednesday and Saturday, I posted a song from a different

32:34 Speaker 4: person or or or a few songs. Yeah, like Darryl

32:37 Speaker 4: Barnes played like three songs, you know, there was a

33:33 Speaker 4: cheating and bringing a drummer. But that's okay.

33:53 Speaker 4: wanted to bring guitar players some people want, you know,

34:02 Speaker 4: Chateau Billadeau Studio. Oh yes, yeah, I was doing that

41:35 Speaker 4: because I thought the whole like I drove all the
