Speaker 7: Not turning on? I'm not sure what just topped?
Speaker 5: Oh my goodness, well is it? Uh? Is it charged up? Or is it? Is it plugged in? It's plugged in, yeah, plugged in?
Speaker 7: Oh screen, and now it won't turn back on.
Speaker 5: Oh that's not good.
Speaker 7: I'm a little concerned.
Speaker 6: Yes, yes, also joining us uh via restream. So we've got hopefully uh they can uh, they can hear us and we can hear them. We've got both Charles Richardson and Eric Pilcher with us.
Speaker 8: Hey, guys, president accounted for Hey.
Speaker 5: Charles, I can hear you. Eric. I thought I heard something, but say something.
Speaker 4: You have me?
Speaker 5: Oh, there we go, there we go. It was hard to hear you at first.
Speaker 9: Yes, yeah, the the initial sound I heard was something relevant to what I see on Ghost Hunters.
Speaker 6: I mean, I mean, I know it's Halloween time, but uh, I hope Eric you're still with us and you haven't become a ghost.
Speaker 9: No, no, no, no, it's it is November one. It is officially went from Halloween to Christmas according to the Disney calendar.
Speaker 5: Oh good lord, really is that true?
Speaker 8: Yes?
Speaker 9: They overnight, they transformed the Magic Kingdom and all the parks from all their Halloween stuff and now everything is Christmas.
Speaker 3: They skips.
Speaker 8: Yeah, these skip thinks given nobody cares about things.
Speaker 5: Oh that's terrible.
Speaker 6: Oh oh boy, Eric, we're having a we're having an issue with your sound.
Speaker 5: Brother. Do you wanna do you wanna got heartbreaking.
Speaker 6: Oh there we go there, Eric, speak a couple of sentences. I want to make sure it sounds. It seems like they're cutting it out, say a couple of full sentences for us.
Speaker 8: Yeah, you kind of were going in and out to a little bit. So I'm not sure if it's your connection too.
Speaker 5: I don't know because I can hear you clearly.
Speaker 4: I hope I'm on the air right now. I hope everything.
Speaker 5: Uhh you're cutting in and out.
Speaker 9: Eric, we're on we're on a massive delay, Matt. I think you need to go ahead and cut this off and bring us back in really hm hm, yes, sir, we're about five second delay.
Speaker 6: Yeah, here's a here's a thought.
Speaker 5: Eric.
Speaker 6: Can you call the studio line and Charles can we Did we use WhatsApp with you once before?
Speaker 8: I don't think so, but you can go ahead and use it if you want to.
Speaker 6: Well, let's try this because because Eric, Eric is uh, Eric is cutting in and out. Eric, can you call the studio line?
Speaker 5: See, I can't even hear have multiple.
Speaker 7: I think you're isn't Charles fine on restream?
Speaker 6: We'd have to Yeah, Charles is saying, though there's a delay on him, his end is the problem. We're getting a delay. But I wonder what would happen if we take Eric out, if Eric calls the studio line and then Charles stays on restream because because we're having a problem hearing Eric anyway, like Eric, Erics just keeps cutting out completely. Can you call the studio line?
Speaker 5: Eric? He left? Okay, okay, now are you still hearing me? On a delay?
Speaker 8: I'm hearing you now?
Speaker 5: Okay? Good?
Speaker 8: Wait, okay, so we're only a couple of seconds, maybe.
Speaker 5: A couple couple seconds.
Speaker 6: Okay, all right, so Eric, Well let's let Eric just call the studio line and that way we can all hear each other. Because there was something something wrong with Eric's connection. Oh, Eric just messaged something. Well, no, I was wrong, that was something else.
Speaker 5: That popped up. Okay, all right, well it's my computer. Oh good, your computer's power to laugh at me? What happened? What happened?
Speaker 7: The power strip was turned off and the battery.
Speaker 6: Went, oh okay, well that's good, so it's still works. It still works, all right, very good, very good.
Speaker 7: Power.
Speaker 5: All right.
Speaker 7: I'm over here, button Charles.
Speaker 10: I'm holding the laptop up to my ear trying to hear it running.
Speaker 5: Wow.
Speaker 9: Can you imagine back in the day when those people, those people in the eighties are holding up boom boxes. That's probably what you must have felt like.
Speaker 10: Kind of yeah, like and i' I have hearing aids, so my hearing's not the greatest. If trying to see if it's Can I hear anything going on in there?
Speaker 5: Well, that's what it looked like.
Speaker 8: Boom boom boom like that.
Speaker 5: That's what it looked like.
Speaker 6: I look over at Jenny and She's got the computer up to her face and I'm like, what I'm thinking, what is she doing trying to tell.
Speaker 7: Us the motor?
Speaker 1: All right?
Speaker 8: God it was a desktop?
Speaker 7: Well then I would have then I would have been doomed.
Speaker 4: Yeah.
Speaker 6: Well, so we have a call on the line from Iowa. I'm assuming this is Eric.
Speaker 8: Eric.
Speaker 4: Is that you, Yes, I'm here, hopefully not seeing it after life dimention right.
Speaker 6: No, we can hear you. We can hear you very clearly. Now this is this is gonna work much better. Thanks Eric. Yeah, for some reason, you just kept cutting in and out and we were only getting uh, bits and pieces of what you were saying. And uh, but Charles, you can you can hear both of us.
Speaker 9: Right, Oh yeah, absolutely, it was it was my presence that caused the disruption in the force.
Speaker 5: Yes, yes, understandable, understandable. That's right.
Speaker 6: So for those of you who are not familiar, why would the three of us be talking about something, It must be it must be well for you're you're here as well.
Speaker 10: But sometimes he thanks on the afterthought, we know what you're having for dinner, and.
Speaker 6: I well, well sometimes Jenny though you kind of check out because you're doing your macromay.
Speaker 7: I like brustling.
Speaker 6: I was going to pay attention, you know. I know now we watch wrestling every week, that's true. That is true.
Speaker 5: On who's computer on your computer?
Speaker 3: Right?
Speaker 6: Hopefully he keeps working, I know, got to make sure it's plugged in. So, of course, Eric Pilch and I we do the Tough Bumps podcast and Charles you of course, what's the show that you do with I forget his name now, is it Zach Zodiac or something?
Speaker 8: Zach Zodiac actually is a real wrestler from the UK. But so his name is Josh Zodiac.
Speaker 5: OK, gotcha?
Speaker 8: So yeah, he does a podcast, He does recordings and stuff like that. He doesn't do it live like I do.
Speaker 9: Which, by the way, shameless plug, I will be doing at seven o'clock a live stream of Saturday night's event. Oh, very good, use tonight and that you guys are more than welcome to join if you want.
Speaker 8: But Josh will be joining me as well.
Speaker 5: Very good, very good, Josh Zodiac. Okay, gotcha, gotcha.
Speaker 6: And of course you're the host of the Charles Richardson Show, which you do live.
Speaker 5: Is that Monday and Wednesday night hour.
Speaker 9: It is still Monday and Wednesday. Thanks to my employment being uh kind of up in the air for the past month or so, it probably will stay Monday and Wednesday until otherwise determined. Okay, but still Eastern.
Speaker 5: Okay, very good, very good. What do you guys want to Uh, we didn't.
Speaker 6: Really plan anything because I figured the three of us, you know, we'll find things to talk about pretty easily.
Speaker 7: There's only three people present on the four of us.
Speaker 5: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Jenny.
Speaker 7: He's gonna walk home.
Speaker 9: Wait wait, wait wait, I'm gonna I'm gonna go ahead and sabotage this interview right here, Jenny, Yes, you have a store talk about with wrestling today.
Speaker 10: Okay, seriously, my new absolute favorite Iguana I love him.
Speaker 7: Oh, mister, that match was insane.
Speaker 6: We do love mister Iguana. Jenny is referring to, of course, the match from NXT.
Speaker 7: Yes, why did you guys watch that?
Speaker 5: You didn't watch?
Speaker 4: Got to have not? I am.
Speaker 10: I wasn't one for watching NFC that much, but I am so into it now.
Speaker 9: I am a run SmackDown person. Obviously NXT is sort of an afterthought for me.
Speaker 5: Oh but I know what is so much?
Speaker 11: Like?
Speaker 10: Yeah, there's so much there now though, there is so much talent there now, and a lot of players throw up as well.
Speaker 7: It's you know they're there too.
Speaker 5: Were you gonna say?
Speaker 4: Eric RCW affiliate in Cedar Rapids, for whatever reason, does not have the greatest signal. It's a digital sub channel here in Cedar Rapids. So even if you use a streaming service like I do, like YouTube TV, it does, it's not the best quality. So usually if I catch NXT, I wait for it to stream.
Speaker 6: Oh okay, yeah, you can stream it on the CWU website too. I think it's just c W dot com. You can stream it for free of course. Now, Jenny and I you know we.
Speaker 5: Got our yes, we followed.
Speaker 10: Uh, we helped me Stephanie mcman's advice and got a vp.
Speaker 6: We took her advice, We got a vp N. She's our VPN goddess of course. And uh and now we watch we get uninterrupted action to quote her promo.
Speaker 5: UH.
Speaker 6: With the uh Netflix where everything is available to us, it just opened up a whole new world.
Speaker 7: I don't think Charles was expecting me to have a clue.
Speaker 9: No, listen, I definitely want I definitely want to take a look at mister Iguana. I want to see his costume and everything like that.
Speaker 5: He's very funny.
Speaker 8: If he really isn't want that, that's something I would so challenged.
Speaker 4: Yeah, because I have I have seen people online say that's who Dan Housen has ripped off.
Speaker 6: Oh Dan Housen. Yeah, they're saying that he's ripped off mister Iguana. That wouldn't have occurred to me. Yes, interesting, interesting.
Speaker 8: I want to come on some.
Speaker 4: Of the mannerisms and everything like that.
Speaker 5: Oh okay, okay, go ahead, Charleston.
Speaker 4: But I've never been able to contribute because I don't have a you know, I've seen Dan Housen, but I haven't seen much from mister Iguana. And I don't want to go out there and be like, oh I agree, oh I disagree, and yeah not have a real opinion.
Speaker 5: Gotcha, gotcha?
Speaker 10: Super super talented, I mean amazing. And then the other new one that I love that has I swear the highest leaps in the industry.
Speaker 6: Oh, Javon Evans, who literally looks like he floats the way he bounces around.
Speaker 5: Yeah, he's incredible too. We were you gonna say, Charles?
Speaker 9: So I really wanted to come on here, and I wanted to discuss the recent episodes of Ron SmackDown and also try to touch on tonight's event, which only has force for it matches, but still I wanted to go ahead and see how everybody thought that this was going to play out. Okay, well I didn't want to since we're talking about athleticism, I kind of want to talk about the the show they're dragging off and and Nathan Fraser that if you saw that, this is kind of like Nathan Fraser's coming out.
Speaker 5: So we have not Jenny and I I should tell.
Speaker 8: You really were solo. You're talking about athleticism, Yeah.
Speaker 6: A whole lot of So Jenny and I have not watched last night's We haven't haven't seen last Night yet.
Speaker 5: We haven't seen last night SmackDown yet.
Speaker 6: We're a little bit behind because I'm on the air of Friday nights for Retrospectrum Radio, so we end up watching SmackDown the next day. But I'm not surprised. I mean, it's so it sounds like that was a really good match, is what you're saying.
Speaker 4: It really was. So we did see that match, okay, and I think you know, both guys just put it all on the line, and really it really was a great match, probably one of the better SmackDown matches this year.
Speaker 6: Okay, Yeah, I'm curious to see it. Ilia Dragonoff is incredible. Go ahead, go ahead, Charles.
Speaker 9: My question to you guys too, including Jenny, are you surprised that Ilia Dragonoff went ahead, came back after a year and actually went ahead and is now a content, is now a.
Speaker 8: Champion just in his first match.
Speaker 9: All But I mean, as storyline material goes, you think that's a little bit of a surprise.
Speaker 5: I think it's cool. I like it. I think he's incredible.
Speaker 7: He is incredible.
Speaker 4: I didn't do it. It's very smart. It was very smart to do it with the United States title. But I think, you know, it's emblematic, so to speak, of the way trip H and Sean kind of run things, which is a good thing, is because it's expect the unexpected. I think we're programmed to kind of be like, okay, when a mid when a mid card talent and I don't mean that negatively comes back into the fold. It's a slow burn. You just kind of build them back up and everything. But to do it this way, I think it's a great idea.
Speaker 4: I think it adds to the unexpectedness.
Speaker 6: What I like and I think we will probably all agree on this is when one of the fun things about wrestling obviously is the surprises, but you also want surprises, but logical surprises with logical storytelling, and I think that's what something like this gives us.
Speaker 5: I think Triple H is excellent at that. I think back to, you know, the Vince.
Speaker 6: Russo era where it was like, you know, surprises for the sake of surprises when he was in charge of creative But I really like it. And by the way, I think Elliot Dragonov is incredible and he has a huge outside.
Speaker 8: He is absolutely That's why I'm head.
Speaker 4: Writer of Juggalo Championship wrestling.
Speaker 6: Yeah, I guess Vince Russo is now working for Juggalo Championship Wrestling.
Speaker 5: Uh good, good luck. Wow, wait you.
Speaker 4: Know I want to touch on that real quick. And uh. I love Charles's response, Like, the guys from Insane Clown Posse have really carved out a niche wrestling audience. They know wrestling, and I mean it's obvious because they've been able to stay afloat if they know wrestling. What does Vince Russo bring to the table legitimately? I mean I am not a fan of him.
Speaker 8: That is.
Speaker 4: I'm sorry, Charles, that is pretty narent I do not.
Speaker 9: A big stack of dynamite is what Vince brings to the table.
Speaker 5: There you go, There you go.
Speaker 4: I mean a big sack of dynamite eventually explodes and leaves destruction in its way.
Speaker 12: Uh.
Speaker 4: I don't get it. I get like, if you wanted to shock the world and everything, but you have a guy that has notoriously bashed pro wrestling on dark side of the ring on his own podcast, and you're gonna bring that guy in. I think in order to do anything in pro wrestling, it's so important that you have a love of pro wrestling and either Vince Russo has a love of two things, Vince Russo and money.
Speaker 9: So so Eric I wanted to I wanted to throw it out. I don't guess there You're you're saying that Juggalo Wrestling has been established and is staying afloat because they know wrestling. Why in the blue hell would you bring in somebody that's a cancer like mister Russo.
Speaker 4: That That's exactly my point, Charles, I don't get it. You know, I've always kind of given Juggalo Championship Wrestling there do in the sense that they would that they would help the down and out wrestlers. When Scott Scott Hall was really down and out after some debacles he had before d DP got ahold of him, Juggalo Championship Wrestling still booked it and did it in a way that wouldn't embarrass him like other promoters were doing. Right the list of Greg the Hammer Valentine, they paid for one of his surgeries and gave him an appearance on their show on IFC when it was on very very very briefly.
Speaker 4: So they definitely have helped a lot of the quote unquote old time wrestlers. So I agree, Charles, I don't get the fit. If I love pro wrestling and I were running a pro wrestling promotion, I would much rather be I would much rather, you know, have the Rajah Jackson incident on my hands, that have Vince Russo writing creative.
Speaker 9: I mean, just to close on my point here, I think Vince Russell obviously he has a lot, He has a lot on his resume, but yes he also has a lot negative, especially about his public opinions on pro wrestling. So I think you The only thing I could think of is you bring it in, because yes, street cred, That's the only thing.
Speaker 5: That was my thought too.
Speaker 6: I have a question, though, has has Vince Russo confirmed publicly that he is in fact working for them? I asked that only because you know, he's got a little bit of a checkered past in terms well in a lot of ways, but also in terms of employment. Like remember when he was secretly working for TNA, but but it was supposed to be a secret and then Dixie Carter sent an email to the wrong person or something and it was exposed and.
Speaker 5: That hold debacle.
Speaker 6: So has Vince Russo confirmed that he is now working for Juggalo Championship wrestling.
Speaker 4: He says he's written nine episodes of TV. Okay, I don't I don't recall Charles maybe you can clue me in or Jenny Championship Brestling. They didn't even have a streaming TV deal right now. I don't think. Wow, where these nine episodes of TV are gonna air is beyond me.
Speaker 5: Probably YouTube has put them on YouTube.
Speaker 9: So Juggler Championship Wrestling made this official that Vince was working with them. Uh on October twenty sixth, less than about.
Speaker 8: A week ago.
Speaker 5: Oh, on my birthday.
Speaker 9: So this is just this is just happening. It was announced that Russo wasn't investor to Juggler Championship Wrestling.
Speaker 8: That's interesting, and he put he's put money into it. Whether he's pulling any strings is beyond me.
Speaker 5: That's interesting.
Speaker 4: Yeah, Vince Russo has cooborated that he is he is doing some create for them, which godspeed, God speed jugglers. Well, uh, you know, you know what the definition of insanity is and I'll leave it at that.
Speaker 9: Yeah, Well, I've never said they be insane clown possely for nothing.
Speaker 8: Ainsane is in their first name.
Speaker 4: You know that that is very true.
Speaker 5: You know I'm not a I'm not a fan.
Speaker 4: Yeah, go ahead, Eric, I don't wish them ill, will I just I'm sure, just like everyone involved in this conversation. I hate to sound like a Debbie Downer, but you know how this is gonna end. We've seen this book. If we've read this book, we've seen this episode. We know how this is going to end. I think the flame Out is going to be better than any TV he writes.
Speaker 9: Yeah, and they go looking for the probably looking to err it on MTV because they lost all their credibility.
Speaker 5: I just I will say this.
Speaker 6: I mean, I've never watched any Juggalo Championship wrestling, but I assume it's just it's the kind of thing that wouldn't appeal to me anyway, right, I mean that's my impression. It's like a lot of like, you know, garbage matches, you know, just a lot of stuff with weapons and stupid stuff, right like probably the bottom of the bottom rung of the ladder. In terms of content, I would guess it.
Speaker 11: Is it is EZW combat Zone wrestling with a larger budget. Okay, now where I could see Vince Russo actually working, and.
Speaker 4: This is they do. It's all off the coup. Everything they do with these shows is on the fly. So now that I think about it, and we've been talking, this might be Vince Russo's cup of tea here because his crash TV fraud would actually fly in this environment. Out Does it have long term success, Absolutely not, because in wrestling, you need story, you need steak, you need you need long term storytelling, and Vince Russo can't tell a story longer than a Bazooka Joe comic.
Speaker 9: Oh well, I mean, Eric, you take a look. This is basically up the alley of ae w's first year or two. They were able to go ahead and sustain with patch make work, but storyline material was never their cup of tea. And now you're looking at them flaming out, trying to go ahead and rebound.
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so Charles. That's a brilliant point because it's so hard to rebound when you lose an audience like that, When if you're not doing the basic tenets of professional wrestling, you lose, you lose the audience. It's very hard to get him back because it's like, we tried you out, you failed, We're moving on. You know. That's one of the things that makes Paul Hayman such a genius is with E c W he was able to just Frankenstein in a way that was beautiful unpredictability with long term storytelling.
Speaker 5: Right, which which you can't. You can't have both.
Speaker 4: Yeah, yes you can, you just have to execute it right right.
Speaker 6: That's part of why I think Triple H has been so successful with creative in WWE is because he know, he gets it. You know, you can have surprises, and that's one of the fun things about wrestling, but it also all has to make sense. And talk about long term storytelling, I mean, he's done really well at that, and that's something that you know, Vince McMahon was really good at at one time, like when I first started wrestling, when I was a kid. You know, like the first storyline I've ever got really heavily invested in was of course Macho Man Randy Savage versus hul Cogan, and that played out over a very long time.
Speaker 6: But but you know, but then Vince really kind of lost his way. But but I think that's why w W E one of the reasons. There's other reasons, but I think that's part of why it's so hot right now. That's why Jenny got got back into watching it regularly. Right, the like the storyline with the bloodline is what really kind of pulled you in right before that, even before.
Speaker 7: Even before that.
Speaker 10: Yeah, but yeah, the Hardys, Yeah that's true.
Speaker 8: Is Jenny still here?
Speaker 1: Oh?
Speaker 10: Yes, I'm here. Another one to hear from. See if I book you again?
Speaker 5: Jenny? Jenny is? Jenny is hile?
Speaker 4: He yes, well, booked again.
Speaker 7: I'll think about it. Did you watch any of Halloween? Have it last night with the Hardys?
Speaker 4: No?
Speaker 5: That wasn't That wasn't Halloween habit last night?
Speaker 10: No, the party Talloween.
Speaker 7: I'm mixing. I was mixing the two.
Speaker 6: Yeah, the stuff they were putting on the t NA YouTube. Yeah, anything with the Hardies.
Speaker 5: We love.
Speaker 9: Anyway, I wanted to go ahead and a couple of things that I know you guys are probably watched.
Speaker 8: You guys watched Raw, right.
Speaker 5: Ah, yes, we did?
Speaker 8: All right? So let me ask you both. Let me ask you.
Speaker 9: All questions mean not both all you questions both actually mean Eric and Jenny, but uh, everybody, I want I want to know what your thoughts are on the promo that Jay Uso and see Him Punk did to open up Raw it looks like Jay is on the verge of cracking. I'm thinking Jay is on the verge of a heel turn. I know I could agree with that.
Speaker 10: No, you noticed he wasn't doing so much with the Yeah.
Speaker 5: I don't know.
Speaker 4: Do you agree with it? Last week, on our episode of Tough Bumps, weirdly enough, we covered heel turns and what makes a good heel turn, what doesn't make a good heel turn, and the best heel turns happened organically. I do, And I said last week on the show that I do think Jayu So turns heel tonight. I I don't think seem Punk wins. I think Jayu So turns heel and you have and you have him beat Punk because I thought that tonight you would have Drew McIntyre beat Cody. But but after what I saw happened on SmackDown last night through video clips on social media, I do not believe that's the case.
Speaker 4: I believe they're going with Cody. Okay, three titles change hands tonight.
Speaker 9: Eric, let me fill you on that real quick. So the stipulations of the contract changed with Drew and Cody. Drew refused to sign the contract less unless there were stipulations. If Cody gets counted out or disqualified, he loses the title, which is not usually the case.
Speaker 8: So basically who's covering.
Speaker 5: Hmmm.
Speaker 4: So that's interesting and that makes that match very very interesting. And dare I say more must see than the punk j match and don't put on a very good match. Don't get me wrong, but I think that added element of the disqualifications count you get rid of the so called championship advantage. That is great storytelling. And really I wasn't looking forward to Cody and Drew, but once once that stipulation was put into play, I'm like, they could do something really good with this.
Speaker 5: Yeah, really good.
Speaker 8: And how often do you see Cody on the bottom laying down facing the ceiling at the end of a promo? Not very often? And Drew got the better room thrown him through a.
Speaker 9: Table last night after getting in his head, Cody went ahead for the second time that I know of, maybe more, he tried to use the title to knock out Drew.
Speaker 4: And you know, that's a very good point. Charles might have swayed me.
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Charles might have Swayeden that I couldn't.
Speaker 4: I could see Drew winning tonight.
Speaker 5: Now I have a question.
Speaker 4: We couldn't know all three titles change hands.
Speaker 5: I have a question though about regarding Jay.
Speaker 6: Regarding Jay USO is do you guys think it's smart to turn him because the Yeat thing is goes Oh, we're huge in the arenas. I mean, that's such a big that's become such a big part of the show. I suppose in a way taking that away makes the heel turn itself more impactful and everybody will be talking about it. But but you are killing something that's that's such a that the live crowd is so into.
Speaker 5: I mean, it's just the whole Yeat thing.
Speaker 6: It's it's gotten over huge in a way that I don't know if even a year ago or anyone would have anticipated.
Speaker 5: A little bit. Maybe maybe it is, maybe it is, I don't know.
Speaker 8: The thing is.
Speaker 6: Dislikes oh on the YouTube video where the showed Jay winning the Battle Royal, that's true, that's true.
Speaker 9: Well there is there's there's such a huge, huge thing going on where the fans are yeating and also chance to see him punk they right now, you could either one of these two can win the belt and the fans gold.
Speaker 8: That's how big it is.
Speaker 4: Yeah, you're not going to lose.
Speaker 5: But I think too part of why that YouTube video got so many dislikes is I think there's a strong fan sentiment they want La Knight, you know, before it's too late, frankly, given his age. They want l A.
Speaker 6: Knight to have his opportunity, just one run with the world title to make the fans happy, and he was deprived of that yet again.
Speaker 5: And I think that's why.
Speaker 6: See, I don't think it was backlash against Jay specifically, all the dislikes on the YouTube video. I think it was fans saying, you screwed l A. Knight yet again. At least let him get one in. At least let him have one rain with the world.
Speaker 7: When you have one brother.
Speaker 10: Mess over another brother, that brings out another type of dislike from people. People don't like brother against brother necessarily. Yeah, I'm especially doing one dirty.
Speaker 5: Yeah.
Speaker 4: The video clip of Jay Uso actually beating Gunther had around around eighty thousand dislikes. Wow, this isn't something with Jay, This isn't something that's Eric.
Speaker 9: Here's the thing with that. How he won against Gunter was complete and utter. It was a hull carcass. It was disappointing one again, Gunter, it was a complete botch. How do you go ahead and tap out on your own move in less than thirty seconds? Yeah, that is complete waste. It was a disappointing match, Carl.
Speaker 4: I couldn't agree with you more that I went on the record and saying that was one of the worst WrestleMania decisions in a championship match in a long time. I didn't like it. I still don't like it, and so yes, there could be that could be some of the fallout, but I don't know. I think that if you're goodness j heel, now is the time to do it.
Speaker 6: There could be another motivation. There could be another motivation for that too. During WWE Unreal, there's a moment where Triple H expresses concern that Jay might not be quite up to having the rockets strapped to him, so to speak, because uh that all that yeating, all the stuff he's doing with the crowd before his matches is exhausting him. Because there were a couple of times where Jay was messing up spots during his matches, and that was Triple H express that concern. I wonder are they are they going to do this and take the Yeat away so that he's stronger during his matches because he's not going to be winded or gassed up or however you want to put it during his match from all the pre match yeating with the crowd.
Speaker 6: And by the way, I know people who aren't wrestling fans think this is we're talking a foreign language now with yeat and all this stuff. But but I do here if that might be part of the reason too.
Speaker 9: It is, So you go ahead and take a look at one thing here. First off, if you're an athlete and you're getting exhausted by walking down a flight of stairs and waving your arms like a like a shark or something like that.
Speaker 8: Ye are you kidding me?
Speaker 9: You're getting winded over that you need to get back to the gym. There's two ways I see in this match going out tonight. Number One, Jimmy gets involved because they've been locked in horns and Punk wins or somehow some way Drew gets involved and this is cmpunk. So this could turn either way depending on how Triple H feels.
Speaker 5: What say you, Eric, I.
Speaker 4: Again, Charles, that's a great point. Look, I don't think I think that of all the decisions. WWE is gonna make over the next month or so because they have Survivor Series coming up at Petco Park, John Cena's final opponent. But my understanding is that decision has already been made. Is this is a pretty big decision, but it's a decision. They can't go wrong on either way they go. Depending on how they do it, they can win. I will say this, you also could get now if you have they win. I disagree with this, but it's a thought.
Speaker 4: Is you could have now CM punk apathy. You could have the fans of CM punk that are just like, oh, once again, he's in the spot once again. He doesn't kind of let what Matt alluded to with LA nine and I disagree with that wholeheartedly, But that is certainly there is an our meant to be made with that, because I don't think Punk means the title Punk's over like Rover no matter what he does.
Speaker 5: True. I think that's true.
Speaker 9: So do we think that this is my first prediction for you guys, do you think Jay wins or do you think Punk wins.
Speaker 4: I'm gonna go with Jay. I I think it makes more sense. Again, they can't go wrong, but strategically, it makes more sense to have Jay win that. I mean, Punk would be awesome. I'm a diehard CM punk sand has been since two thousand and three. But I think from a business standpoint, it would make sense to have Jay win.
Speaker 5: I agree. I agree, there's a there's a story you can tell there, and I'm.
Speaker 9: Gonna go I'm gonna go against the Green. I'm gonna say Punk. Here's why, with everything that happened with Seth Rowns getting an injury and everything having to move up, you knew who's gonna beat Seth Rowns for the title?
Speaker 8: Right, M No, I'm gonna go with Punk, and then that's gonna step Punk and Breaker.
Speaker 5: Okay, that's interesting. Yeah, that would be interesting.
Speaker 4: Again, there's this is a no lose situation.
Speaker 8: Agreed, but agreed. I agree with that. You you.
Speaker 4: Execution is everything, of course. I mean, you could still flub it up if it's if it's a horrible story idea. But on the surface, you can't mess this up. This isn't like the women's title match that I think they very easily could botch this if they make the wrong decision.
Speaker 8: Let's talk about that real quick too.
Speaker 9: So Jade obviously coming in attacking Tiffany turning herself heel. We were talking about heel turns. Do we agree with Jade going to heel on this one? And is she ready because she's been green for the longest time, finally got a little bit of taste with with having some belts, but is she ready for a solo career with the title? And is time play?
Speaker 6: I don't let me just I just want to say two quick things about that. One is I do want to stick up for Jade Cargill a little bit. And Eric heard me say this. I think there's a lot of criticism from the IWC of her. I think it's I think it's a bit much. I think she is underrated in terms of I think she's better. I think she's better, Jenny, you agree. I think she's better than she gets credit for. I also think she's probably from the little bit that I did see of her when she was in AEW, I think she's probably better as a heel long term, and I'm curious.
Speaker 6: I'm interested to see her develop as a heel in w double You eat, Eric, what do you think?
Speaker 4: I think she works better as a heel, but I do not think she's ready for the top spot. She I'm signing with Charles on this. She's greener than gooseterds.
Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't think so. Yeah.
Speaker 4: I would like to see her with an intercontinental title run first, okay, United States run, Like, let's prep her for this, let's get her better, because right now you're throwing her right into the fire with these workhorse women's wrestlers that you would put in that top tier. You know, you would assume Chelsea Green at some point would be there. You're going to assume that Alexa Blissen Charlotte will be in the mix at some point. Both are all premiere workers and botches are you. It's so easy to spot a botch when you're working with someone that is really good in the ring, and that's who she'll be working with as the top person.
Speaker 4: So I think it could expose her big time and set her back.
Speaker 9: The reason why I'll go ahead and disagree in regards to the Green wwe must see something in her. They made her Crown Jewel Champion, They went ahead and they prepped her for and another title match already, So it's not it doesn't seem like she may be as green as we thought she is. Apparently they see a lot of potential in her, and I think the second one I think might be time to let Tiffany let go of the reins. I think with her turning heel and getting into Tiffany's head which we saw on SmackDown, that could be the the turning point where I think Jade finally goes ahead and cleans up her act and actually gets a belt.
Speaker 5: You know, the irony, the irony of that.
Speaker 8: I'm gonna go ahead and put a picking. I'll put in for Jade.
Speaker 5: Yeah, I do think.
Speaker 4: Jay does win. I think, uh, I do think this is me just spitball and I have no uh a fit. I haven't read this online. I think Tiffany might be due for some time off because think about this, She's had a three hundred day championship ring. But she was pushing hard in NXT well before they brought her up, and she almost got kind of thrown right into the main event picture right after she was brought up. So that's, you know, that's.
Speaker 8: Just that flourished.
Speaker 4: She's been going hard for over two years, So maybe they take her off till Royal Rumble have her come back trying to give her a refresh a little bit and let her rest up, because I have read she does have some uh, she does have some minor injuries that are starting to mount top.
Speaker 5: Yeah, you're right, she's been running hard for a long time.
Speaker 6: I think she's actually better as a heel, though I think she's awkward as a baby face. I don't know what you guys think, but I don't. I don't understand Tiffany Stratton as a babyface.
Speaker 5: I really don't. It seems it really does.
Speaker 4: It seems forced.
Speaker 5: Yeah, I think she's a natural heel.
Speaker 8: I think it's I think that.
Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, I think the Tiffy Time thing is a heel thing.
Speaker 5: It is.
Speaker 6: It is like, I get why they wanted to turn her in a sense because she was getting babyface reactions because she's so incredible in the ring. But I think as a character, I think she's much more effective as a heel. I think they should just go back to letting her be a heel. And if she gets babyface reactions because she is so incredible in the ring, so be it. A lot of heels do, that's fine, But I think she's I think she's better as a heel. By the way, speaking of, I just want to pivot quickly because I really want to hear everyone's thoughts on this.
Speaker 6: And what Eric, you already know when I mentioned this name, you already know what I'm gonna say. Charles might not Dominic Mysterio when they finally pull the trigger on him. Is he not going to be one of the greatest baby faces of all time.
Speaker 5: When they do it? Do you think he already is? Yeah?
Speaker 8: I mean.
Speaker 7: What Charles?
Speaker 9: I mean he has a face only a mother could love, and haircut and mustache as well.
Speaker 5: Right, what do you think, Eric?
Speaker 4: Look? I think you there's always going to be a segment of the fans that will look at Dominic myster as a heel. Yeah, and God bless him for it, because look, Dominic, it could be that guy that when they turn in Babyface, he changes nothing about himself exactly.
Speaker 5: Yeah, And he won't need to.
Speaker 4: He changes absolutely nothing. He won't need to. He really is and I say this with the utmost reverence and caution, He really is the second incarnation of Eddie Guerrero. Eddie could lie, cheat and steal and the fans would love him if no matter what. And that's Dominic Mysterio. All these people in the IWC I see that are saying, oh, well, they're just trying to make him Eddie. They're just trying. They've done it, and it's brilliant.
Speaker 5: It is it is.
Speaker 4: I mean when he cheats, the crowd cheers, Yeah.
Speaker 6: Is the it's the Eddie gurero tapling. Yeah, because the le Jayton steal. That was a part of Eddie Guerrero's babyface gimmick and and it and it got over huge and Dominic is everything Dominic does, he does so well. I mean there's there's no there's no holes in anything he's He's just he's the perfect sports entertainer.
Speaker 5: I dare say.
Speaker 9: He had a great teacher and his dad, I mean, you gonna do You're not gonna You're not gonna spoil that talent.
Speaker 8: I mean, right, was gonna allow it.
Speaker 6: Yeah, but both his real dad and his fake dad, uh have you know taught him a lot.
Speaker 1: Absolutely, And even even when he does promotional interviews with radio stations and such, is in full character.
Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
Speaker 4: He like who goes on a radio station right now and says, oh, I guess I could face John Cena. I retire in but like you are all these guys talking on radio stations about what an honor it would be to face John Cena in this final run, and rightfully so. But then you have Dominic who's sorry, my voice is uh getting lost here? Yes, Dominic who Dominic who is just gets on there and just says, I suppose I could face him. I am the greatest center continent with champion ever. Yeah, just retire him early.
Speaker 5: And everything that he says is so perfect.
Speaker 4: Oh.
Speaker 6: I saw a clip of him saying something about, uh oh yeah, I hate seam Punk because.
Speaker 5: He's he's old.
Speaker 6: He's like sixty three or something, and when I was a kid he tortured me. I think he was like forty five at the time, and I just hate it's but with his delivery too, it's so funny, Like everything he says is just perfect.
Speaker 5: He understands his character and.
Speaker 6: Uh he's you know everybody talks about bron Breaker being the future. Yeah he's part of it, But so is Dominic Mysterio. I mean, he's just incredible. Everything he does.
Speaker 4: Well, let me go ahead, and is one of those guys that you can put him anywhere on the card and it's good. It's it has the potential to steal the show.
Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely, were we starting to say Charles.
Speaker 9: Well, I was just saying it was God. I didn't know if it was any more comments on Dominica except for his U you know, you know, porn actor futures for success.
Speaker 8: But I'm sorry if you had to bleep that out.
Speaker 5: No, no, but.
Speaker 8: I wanted to get everybody's picks on tonight. There's four main events.
Speaker 9: We already got the Punk News, so match, I want to get everybody's picks on the Tiffany and Jade.
Speaker 8: Do you think Jade takes you or do you think tif it's still Tiffy time.
Speaker 5: No, they'll leave it on. They'll leave it on Tiffany. I think.
Speaker 4: I think Jay gets it. I think they did. I think tonight because you've built up this heel turned so now it has to pay off.
Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't think it has to pay off yet, though, I think I think they can take a little time with it. But we can talk about the other matches too, But we just have to be mindful.
Speaker 5: We are starting to approach the top of the hour.
Speaker 6: But but but yeah, we can talk about the other matches too, just briefly.
Speaker 8: Jenny, what'd your pick, Tiffany or Ja tonight.
Speaker 7: Okay, I'm going with my am.
Speaker 9: Yeah, the Triple Threat, mystereo, Penta, Russev does mystereo.
Speaker 8: Does Dominic keep the title? And is uh all of his hair?
Speaker 5: Dominic keeps the title? He cheats to win?
Speaker 6: And uh, I I don't even care what they do with Russev. I love Pentav.
Speaker 7: I think Penta is you know, I can see him being an.
Speaker 6: Upset one kind of doesn't need the belt though. Pentas so incredible, another guy who is just incredible, and Russev is just boring.
Speaker 5: I don't they haven't done anything good with him.
Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm surprised that they haven't.
Speaker 4: Got to go with dom I gotta go with my boy dirty dom Yeah. I think I'm cheats to win. I don't care how it happens. It's gonna be brilliant.
Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, I agree, I agree.
Speaker 9: I think I think Dominic with the Triple A belt, I think he's he'll still have a title to hold on to. I'm gonna give it to pent I think pent his time. Okay, Okay, And finally Cody Drew. With everything going on with the the the disqualification now not even a factor anymore to count out not a factor, and Cody obviously is wanting to do a sena with the title bashing up Drew Skull. Do we see Drew walking out or is Cody's holding on to it?
Speaker 5: I think they I think they leave it with Cody. Uh Drew.
Speaker 6: Drew losing gives him another thing to whine about, which is such a big part of his character, and he's hilarious doing it.
Speaker 5: I think they leave it on Cody. Yeah, you agree, Johnny.
Speaker 10: You but I would like to see him finally actually get to keep a belt for more.
Speaker 7: Than two minutes. Yeah, yeah, I think Cody's gonna get it.
Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, what do you guys think? Eric?
Speaker 4: You know, Charles, Charles really struck a chord with me earlier. They added this stipulation twenty four hours before the match, and I've been thinking about it. I I think Drew does something, gets under Cody's skin, and Cody breaks and gets disqualified Andrew becomes champion. That way, it wins.
Speaker 5: Yeah. You might be right, You might be right. And what you're gonna sick with Cody?
Speaker 8: I'm gonna stay with Cody, all right?
Speaker 5: Very good? Very good?
Speaker 4: Well, yeah, such a compelling argument, Charles, and now you're like, I'm going with Tody.
Speaker 6: That's good, it's good, that's right.
Speaker 5: That's right.
Speaker 4: Man, Charles is working me. I'm getting work.
Speaker 6: Yeah you are, Yeah, you are very good. Well, guys, we're approaching the top of the hour. We got to start to wrap up. But uh, Charles, h thank you. And of course, uh, you've got the you're so you're gonna be live streaming tonight. Where can people go to find that?
Speaker 1: So?
Speaker 9: Unlike you, Matt, I can live stream on Facebook, Yes,
Speaker 9: I know. I'll be on Facebook and YouTube just under the Charles Richardson show. That's where you'll be seeing it live. And we will probably start a few minutes before seven. And uh, you want to follow along obviously my stream, and of course it will be on Peacock very.
Speaker 6: Good, excellent, excellent. And of course Eric, you and I, uh, we're doing a tough Bumps tomorrow night.
Speaker 4: I presume, yes, absolutely. We got to cover one of the Halloween one of the most notorious Halloween habits. We just got to pick which one.
Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll I'll let you pick.
Speaker 6: I put a pole up but but Facebook, But the thing is, so I put a pole up at the beginning of the week, like we talked about, and it was getting like no engagement. But now that I know that Facebook is blocking some of my stuff, I think that's probably why. So you can just just pick whichever one you want to do.
Speaker 4: We're going to cover the Chamber of Horrors man.
Speaker 5: Okay, that'll be fun.
Speaker 4: Chamber of Horrors that that will be fun.
Speaker 6: That will be fun. All right, we'll go with that. That sounds good, so take a keep an eye out for that. Of course you can watch that on the IBM Nation YouTube channel and it won't be streaming live on Facebook obviously.
