28:23 Speaker 8: Okay. That's nice, right, because it gives you a chance to experience, experiment and not have the pressures or of going somewhere and spending a lot of money.

30:09 Speaker 7: Oh that's a little previous version of the album.

30:12 Speaker 8: Oh I see. Okay, so the full album. So it's going to be a double album?

30:15 Speaker 7: Yeah, nineteen.

30:16 Speaker 17: Well for vine A record's gonna be nineteen songs. Okay, album CD, you know yeah, nineteen songs okay.

30:24 Speaker 8: Wow? Now what one in the decision to do that? Because you know, we live in an era where people are releasing singles, some people some artists just only released singles, some release EPs, some released albums. But a double album.

30:37 Speaker 17: Well, the then, as we started working this project last year and we wanted to try to change us sound a little bit from the previous albums we had, and we wrote a song called like Sinai that kind of started the whole thing. Yeah, And when that happened, it was like a I don't know, such a flow of creativity that we had filmy songs that we had a you know, really small Yeah. Actually there's a lot more songs that was part of the project that's going on other projects.

31:04 Speaker 8: Oh really yeah.

31:05 Speaker 17: But this band, the way it works is if you take too long finishing an album, I'd add more.

31:09 Speaker 10: Songs to the album for longer and longer and yeah.

31:14 Speaker 17: It's so it's like you need to get it done really quick or you're gonna have a you know, four piece album.

31:19 Speaker 8: So why does that happen? Are you just always writing?

31:21 Speaker 10: Is there just always new musicstantly?

31:24 Speaker 17: I'm always writing. Yeah, I can't stop, Like it's just my thing.

31:28 Speaker 18: It's amazing, Like, well, we'll come over for practice and he's like, I wrote four new songs today and they're all amazing.

31:33 Speaker 8: Like, oh wow, that's cool. Like did you write songs for other artists as well?

31:41 Speaker 7: Or yes? And I don't like doing anymore.

31:45 Speaker 17: You know what the problem is like is you know the band like if I write something, they want it from themselves, and I you know, that's fair. So I got to write something really really odd. But then that's want to utilize it. But I think they're I mean utilize that sometimes.

31:59 Speaker 7: I don't know. But now we became in the agreement. It's like if I write songs, it's for this band. Yeah, you know. I helped out like the play Dad, which was in here a few weeks ago.

32:10 Speaker 8: Yes, we love playing is so much fun.

32:13 Speaker 17: He's a new album coming out in a few months and I helped work on that one. Oh okay, but that's basically just a bit like I can't I'm not allowed to know any music that's kind of like ours.

32:24 Speaker 7: I'm not allowed to do that. Okay, okay, pulled the plug.

32:27 Speaker 8: I think we met Plague Dad through Vices Inc.

32:30 Speaker 17: Yeah, well when I were originally we put me on that date and to be here, we were able to show up and Frank came in killed us and helped out and yeah he's entertaining.

32:42 Speaker 8: Oh yeah, yeah, no, we had a we had a great time. If you are just joining us, we have Vices Inc. Here with us live in studio. So the so the double album, so it comes out December. What did you say, the ninth, thirteenth, thirteenth, Yeah, that is perfect, yep, absolutely, And then are you already are you already working on the next one, because you've got all this music.

33:05 Speaker 7: I'm gonna I'm that one of them explained about that because it's insane.

33:09 Speaker 8: Actually, Okay, we're.

33:11 Speaker 9: Working on the next several projects.

33:14 Speaker 18: Like we have folders of all different like kind of genres, like yeah, like it's it's it's it's unfathomable, unfathomable how much music he has completed, and now like we have to go through the process of adding Handie's bass and Chrissy strums and then my vocals.

33:34 Speaker 9: And I'm not very fast at writing lyrics, so it's like he'll like write thirty songs for everyone that I complete.

33:42 Speaker 8: Oh wow.

33:43 Speaker 18: So we have it all organized and we have like a loose plan. Yeah, but you know, stuff comes up. If you write something he's really passionate about. In the next couple of months, it's very possible we'll like switch over to like really focus on that, right, and then go back to the other things.

33:59 Speaker 9: But we have a lot, a lot that's kind of.

34:02 Speaker 17: I think we're about ten albums yeah, yeah, wow, and then I've got a lot more that's stort away waiting for them. But again, she said, in the meantime, I'm writing more new material all the time.

34:14 Speaker 7: Yeah. So it's it's it's never end in battle.

34:17 Speaker 8: Yeah.

34:18 Speaker 7: But having owned studio helps that out right, Oh.

34:20 Speaker 8: Yeah, no doubt, no doubt.

34:23 Speaker 8: So do you do you write the music and eleanor you write the lyrics or how does how does the processor?

34:28 Speaker 9: Yeah?

34:28 Speaker 17: I read the music and then I showed the band, Yeah, put it okay, and then the elements to that. Yeah, each person you know, she writes most of the lyrics. Sometimes she wants, hey, can you help me out here? And I might help her out? Yeah I won't, I know, yeah right, she know, she writes.

34:47 Speaker 18: Usually what he'll do, though, is he'll he'll record a track and then he names it and it's a dummy title, like he's usually attached to the name, but he has so many songs he's sending me that I often use the dummy title as inspiration.

35:01 Speaker 18: It's kind of like a writing prompt where I'm like, okay, like what like this is what he named the song, like truculent, Like okay, what what could that be about?

35:08 Speaker 9: And then I'll go from there.

35:10 Speaker 8: That makes sense?

35:10 Speaker 7: Yeah? Yeah?

35:11 Speaker 8: Is that how it's always worked from the beginning of the spand is that?

35:15 Speaker 7: Yeah? Pretty much?

35:17 Speaker 8: How long his vice has ain't been around? It's been a while, right.

35:20 Speaker 23: I met him in twenty nineteen and then we damned for like maybe a couple of months, maybe a little bit longer than that, and then we.

35:27 Speaker 10: Brought Ellieen in like September that year, so.

35:30 Speaker 9: It was like, yeah, it's been about like just over five years.

35:33 Speaker 17: Okay, okay, yeah, we uh got track a little bit because of COVID and stuff. Yeah, we were starting playing shows and stuff, and when COVID had it kind of derailed us a little bit. Yeah, so instead of just not doing anything, we just worked in the studio and made music and stuff. Yeah, and then we didn't start playing shows again last year. Oh okay, three years before we started playing shows again.

35:53 Speaker 17: Now, now we've been on three fours at least to think. Okay, we've done multiple things now yeah, yeah, excellent. Yeah, since the last time you were here, So you've toured, You've toured in how long ago time? It all becomes we're here April, oh January, January last year, I think we were something like that.

36:11 Speaker 8: Oh okay, okay, it Genuary, so last lesson a year.

36:15 Speaker 7: Yeah.

36:15 Speaker 8: Yeah. So have you have you toured in the time since that?

36:18 Speaker 7: Yes?

36:18 Speaker 23: We have Okay twice, Yeah, twice because the first tour would have been before that, and then just gotten back.

36:26 Speaker 17: From that big festival in March. April, we did a tour okay, tour in August. Okay, supposed to going another tour in November, but.

36:37 Speaker 8: Okay, February.

36:40 Speaker 17: Oh yeah, I'm not gonna be I'm not gonna be in the band. More's news you guys.

36:54 Speaker 8: Now now the so the last now, the last tour that you did, did you go out did you go out with a national act or what?

What's the is it still when I had had when I had had you on before, the song that had gotten the most airplay at that point was is it giving up but not giving in? I'm say the name right, giving up, giving not giving up? I got toyslexic with it? Is that still like the biggest in terms of airplay?

41:37 Speaker 17: Or like I told us of all time, I think so, yeah, for sure, because it's a lot, but our top ten list is well mostly echo line kiss songs got really popular. But you know, giving in there's a song called we did I Love You is a cover song and I did really really well too. Yeah, and then we got a saw that it's an intrill to an album called The Experience, and that got a lot of plays.

42:23 Speaker 17: But yeah, so it's we are happy that it's mostly like back kiss songs now because that's the sound we're moving into. Okay, for the most part the longest time, we're a pop punk band. Yeah, we moved away from that. Yeah, we're trying to move away from that, just just a change.

42:38 Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, no, I I I really like these songs now. So is that is that kind of the direction you're going with because you're constantly writing, like do you try to stay.

42:49 Speaker 7: In that lane when you're writing or that's that's a good question. I this is the thing.

42:55 Speaker 17: It's it's whatever I'm in the mood for kind of thing, right, Yeah, And I can base a whole album around one song if it works out that way. But I always did from the very again, I told him like, eventually we're gonna get older, and I want music to accommodate that. Okay, I didn't want to be playing music that I feel like I'm seventeen years old. So yeah, and they were all, you know, they were fine with that, and they kind of knew the idea that we're going to be changing that into the more return of style if that's.

43:24 Speaker 17: And but once we I had a few songs I was working on before, and I was like, eventually we're gonna get to that song.

43:31 Speaker 17: We had to get a few bridge albums to that album, which is called Vices Link by the way, and that's gonna be a cooler album, it sounds like.

43:41 Speaker 10: For that album. Yeah, album that will come out in a couple of years.

43:46 Speaker 17: But when we when I did like like sign I had a dream and I basically hummed the song on the phone and christ you have get your butt down here, we're gonna get together. Yeah, and we started working on that. I knew then that this is just I want to do and we did a whole album around that style. Yeah, so it came out a little bit sooner than that, but that's where I'm at right now.

44:07 Speaker 8: Yeah, when you say you didn't want to, you know, as you get older, you didn't want to still be playing music that sounded like you were seventeen? Is that like, what do you mean, like like sort of that pop punk thing you wanted to get around?

44:18 Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean I'm not I'm not trying to you know, dis her and thing that. Yeah.

44:22 Speaker 17: Yeah, I don't know, and it's it's it's something that I always will love playing. I just thought I want to expand what we're doing a little bit more and and it's a little bit more challenging too, you know. So I feel like in you know, with the people who are playing in this band, like you know, Almo's vocals are you know, amazing, and it's great to you know, utilize that. Christie, you know fine, but you know, you know, you know, Handley like different styles of music than you know, than the other two people, well, I think her and Christy like some similar music.

44:55 Speaker 17: I like everything for the most you know, but I wanted to incorporate read people's likes a little bit more into the music. So yeah, you get more committed to it, but you know, and at the same time that they will always committed to whatever we're doing too, So I shouldn't even say that, but that's the way I'm thinking right now. But also the ones that just want to send it to a wider market, that's the main thing. But also feel like, you know, I'm not juvenile.

45:19 Speaker 8: Right right? Yeah, yeah, no, that makes sense. That makes sense. You want to grow and evolve and all of that. I'm sure I asked you before, but I honestly don't remember what the answer was. Where does the name Vices Inc. Come from?

45:33 Speaker 23: Yeah, it actually came from a song that he wrote, like right when around the time that we met, there was a song that we were working on.

45:39 Speaker 10: We never released it. We still have it. Oh it's called Advices Inc.

45:42 Speaker 23: Okay, And we were trying to come up with a name for the band, and we just kept like looking up, Oh is this, like, is the name of this this idea taken like on a website or anything. And we took up looking and all these ideas, like all these wackiest things you can think of, all of them taken. You look at Vices Inc. And are like, oh, there's no way this isn't going to be taken. Nope, no bands called Vices Inc. We can fine, Like no, that's perfect.

46:02 Speaker 17: It was Yeah, that was exactly what she said because we I was looking up these you know, people will park these names toms yeah, and I was like, well I want able to have that, you know, so like, yeah, I can't have that, then I'm going to change the name just the announced and tell.
