Speaker 3: Its trees the time into that.
Speaker 1: Noways rennder that September still cold with that wood us
Speaker 1: to wilt bender.
Speaker 5: Nowhere.
Speaker 7: That that is catchy as hell. If you weren't tapping
Speaker 7: along to that, you're probably in a coma that is
Speaker 7: called September. The band is day to attend, and we've
Speaker 7: got the guys from day to attend. The whole band
Speaker 7: is here. Welcome, gentlemen. What's a man? What's going on?
Speaker 7: What's going on for the uninitiated. Let's we'll start in
Speaker 7: the corner here, if you could each tell us who
Speaker 7: you are, what you do in the band, and then
Speaker 7: we'll talk about today, because today is obviously a very
Speaker 7: big day. But we'll start with you.
Speaker 8: Ed, I'm a I'm on guitar.
Speaker 7: I'm I'm Jeff. I do vocals, all right, I'm doing drums.
Speaker 8: Tom Bay on guitar.
Speaker 7: Bruce, I can't hear you and I don't know why. Sorry,
Speaker 7: Oh yeah, you're just a little far away. Bruce on guitar.
Speaker 7: Very good, very good. Welcome everybody, So we should uh well,
Speaker 7: let's talk first about what's going on tonight, and then
Speaker 7: we'll circle back and remind everybody because this is a
Speaker 7: big deal. You guys got a big show.
Speaker 9: You're playing a tonight, Yes, yes, from Kiss. If nobody
Speaker 9: knew and.
Speaker 7: You got the you got the shirt there. I love
Speaker 7: the shirt. Of course, Kiss is my favorite.
Speaker 9: I love Kiss and it's such an honor to open
Speaker 9: for him.
Speaker 7: That is that shirt is an excellent condition. So I
Speaker 7: assume that is not the original from definitely not an original. No,
Speaker 7: very cool, very cool. Have you guys ever opened for
Speaker 7: Ace before or how did how did this come?
Speaker 9: About Oh just we have an agent that we work
Speaker 9: with and every once in a while he gives us
Speaker 9: a call and says, hey, I got a gig for you. Yeah,
Speaker 9: And nearly fell off my seat when I got that call.
Speaker 7: Yeah, so this is gonna be importanland at what's the ven?
Speaker 7: The aura? The aura? And that was the other thing
Speaker 7: about it, is like it's a theater.
Speaker 10: Yeah awesome, Yes, definitely a bucket list item.
Speaker 7: Oh, no doubt. Yeah is the are you guys gonna
Speaker 7: have I assume you got a photographer who's going to
Speaker 7: be there and stuff and everything or because this is yeah,
Speaker 7: this is a big deal. We got a guy excellent, excellent?
Speaker 7: Will there be any video of it or or does
Speaker 7: that just kind of depend on I'll take.
Speaker 8: Care of the video.
Speaker 7: Excellent.
Speaker 8: We'll be doing the video.
Speaker 7: Excellent.
Speaker 8: My brother Dan is going to be shooting the video.
Speaker 7: Okay.
Speaker 8: Lead singer of the band Mischief Mile.
Speaker 7: Oh okay, Mischief Mile. Are they from here? I don't
Speaker 7: know them, they're from the area. Okay, cool name? Yeah,
Speaker 7: thank you, very cool. So now the other thing is
Speaker 7: too so we'll we'll talk more about the show tonight
Speaker 7: in a moment. But you brought gifts. Uh I did, mom?
Speaker 7: You you mentioned uh I did?
Speaker 8: You don't forget that, you don't forget the.
Speaker 7: G I do not forget that surprise. And for those
Speaker 7: of you, by the way, for the camera's not on
Speaker 7: me right now because we have the camera on the band,
Speaker 7: but uh, caras. But of course I'm wearing this beautiful
Speaker 7: day to a Tend shirt, which I love. We love
Speaker 7: it too, yes, so all right. So the other reason
Speaker 7: we're here today is to celebrate the release of Falling
Speaker 7: Awake on vinyl. Yes, yes, and we would like to
Speaker 7: give you all framed vinyl. Oh wonderful.
Speaker 9: You could take it out and we can sign it
Speaker 9: for you if you very cool?
Speaker 7: Yeah, thank you. Yeah, that looks that looks let me
Speaker 7: make sure. Yeah, there you go, Cara, Oh that is beautiful.
Speaker 7: That is beautiful. And let's show him one that's already opened.
Speaker 6: Well.
Speaker 10: I looked around his studio and everything has a frame
Speaker 10: on it, so I.
Speaker 7: If you want check out check out what it looks like.
Speaker 7: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, Oh this is very cool. Oh
Speaker 7: that's nice. Nice. The real oh my god moment is
Speaker 7: when you slide the vinyl out hold it up to
Speaker 7: the light. Really all right, I'm gonna do that right now.
Speaker 7: Let's see. Isn't that pretty?
Speaker 5: Oh?
Speaker 7: That is beautiful. That is beautiful. Actually we should have
Speaker 7: you do that, Jeff. So that because I don't have
Speaker 7: a camera. I don't have a camera on me right now,
Speaker 7: but I want people who are watching online to be
Speaker 7: so cool. Yeah, this is amazing, and this is this
Speaker 7: is very limited edition, right you guys.
Speaker 9: We got a round of two hundred copies made. Okay,
Speaker 9: so yeah, people data atten dot com if you want
Speaker 9: to order one, Yeah, we'll ship it right out. We'll
Speaker 9: come to any show, come to the shows of course. Yeah,
Speaker 9: there's the camera on me now it is. Yeah, so
Speaker 9: that's the uh wait, no, I'm sorry, actually it's not there.
Speaker 9: We go, there we go. This is the vinyl falling Awake. Okay,
Speaker 9: flip it on the back. Yeah, picture and stuff, and
Speaker 9: the sleeven comes out. You get the credits.
Speaker 7: Yep.
Speaker 9: And then another one of are awesome picture is done
Speaker 9: by Peter Higgins. Okay, and then yes, oh yeah, so
Speaker 9: that it is like the beautiful it's called transparent black
Speaker 9: ice o.
Speaker 8: Kidding kind of like what's outside right now?
Speaker 7: Yeah? Yeah. The cool thing is is you're only allowed
Speaker 7: to I don't know if you know this. I don't
Speaker 7: know when this changed, but you're only allowed twenty two
Speaker 7: minutes per side now really, yeah, which is weird because
Speaker 7: I have some records that are longer than that.
Speaker 9: Yeah, I would think so. So the album barely fit.
Speaker 9: Oh I maybe had thirty seconds, like none of the
Speaker 9: extra songs, like yeah, like we got three bonus tracks
Speaker 9: on the CD. Those wouldn't fit. But oh okay, the
Speaker 9: bonus tracks are just radio edit stuff. But yeah, yeah.
Speaker 9: And the other the other thing too, is we're able
Speaker 9: to keep it in the sequence that it appears on,
Speaker 9: so that one's yours here.
Speaker 7: Oh, thank you, Yeah, no, that's that's awesome. Thank you.
Speaker 7: So actually, here, you should hold that up for the
Speaker 7: camera because I don't like this is a framed one.
Speaker 7: Oh that is beautiful. No, I appreciate that. Oh you
Speaker 7: got you got something. Wow, I'll give you. I'll give
Speaker 7: you that. Thank you, Thank you very and we.
Speaker 9: Brought you in an autograph. Oh yeah, like we mentioned,
Speaker 9: we have these the barcodes that are going to be
Speaker 9: on all the merchandise. Yeah, if you scan that, it
Speaker 9: goes to our dot com. Oh perfect kid thing. Oh
Speaker 9: that is awesome. Thank you so much. That is beautiful.
Speaker 9: You guys went all out.
Speaker 7: Oh one more?
Speaker 9: Oh oh yeah, this one's cool too, eight by ten
Speaker 9: old school Yeah, I love it, losty photo type thing.
Speaker 7: Oh I love it. Yeah, very awesome. Thank you. Oh
Speaker 7: that looks great, Matt.
Speaker 9: So if you come to Day's Fairly Show tonight, you
Speaker 9: guys can buy vinyl, get autographed stuff. We also have
Speaker 9: a fresh load of jewel case CDs. Oh no kidding, Okay,
Speaker 9: love the album too, so okay, very cool. We are
Speaker 9: ready tonight, yes, yeah.
Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah. If you're just joining us a day to
Speaker 7: attend us here with us, excuse me live in studio
Speaker 7: on this Saturday morning. Sorry about the cop I was
Speaker 7: sick like back in December and it's been so cold
Speaker 7: and dry. I still have that dry cough. I still
Speaker 7: get it too, man. Yeah yeah, so many people I
Speaker 7: know are having the same issue. It's this endless of cold,
Speaker 7: dry air. How long are you guys playing tonight? Are
Speaker 7: you are you you get a long set or want
Speaker 7: to take it away bruise?
Speaker 11: Yeah, I think you got like forty minutes.
Speaker 7: Yeah, forty five minutes. Yeah that's great. Yeah are you playing?
Speaker 7: Are you just playing music from Falling Awake. Are you
Speaker 7: playing some of the older stuff too.
Speaker 9: Or a couple of tracks from the first album? Yeah,
Speaker 9: you know, we want to represent because that's that album
Speaker 9: is available tonight too.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 9: Yeah, heavily on the Falling Awake stuff and then a
Speaker 9: fun cover too.
Speaker 7: Okay, okay, Now, is there anybody else on the show
Speaker 7: or is it just day to attend?
Speaker 9: And then ace there's a vand called All Sinners. They're
Speaker 9: going to be opening up the show. Okay, yep, they'll
Speaker 9: be there.
Speaker 8: Really good guys.
Speaker 10: The drummer owns Purchase Street Records in New Bedford, Mass.
Speaker 7: Okay, purchase Street Records. It's called yeah, okay, Full Night,
Speaker 7: Killer Rock.
Speaker 8: Those guys put on a hell of a show.
Speaker 7: It's cool that there's still record stores around, you know.
Speaker 7: That's one of those things that people people have predicted
Speaker 7: would go away by now, you know, but there's there's
Speaker 7: still some and they're and they're doing a lot, you know,
Speaker 7: respectively in their local scenes.
Speaker 9: I just I started collecting vinyl like six months ago.
Speaker 9: Oh no kidding, And I'm totally vinyl not now.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 8: A lot of people do too, oh yeah.
Speaker 7: Yeah. My theory is that when people buy new vinyl,
Speaker 7: like a lot of it. We might have talked about
Speaker 7: this before, but I think a lot of people who
Speaker 7: buy brand new vinyl they never open it, like if
Speaker 7: they're really a fan, a big fan of a of
Speaker 7: an artist, that they just buy it to have it
Speaker 7: maybe you know, maybe frame it or whatever they're going
Speaker 7: to do with it.
Speaker 9: Yeah, like Jeff, Yeah, yeah, I.
Speaker 7: Do open.
Speaker 9: I would like to listen to it. Yeah, something about
Speaker 9: the sound of it's awesome.
Speaker 7: Oh, nothing sounds better than vinyl. But I'm into the
Speaker 7: colored vinyl. Yeah, I almost won't buy it unless it's
Speaker 7: a colored one. But oh no kidding, I'm easing up
Speaker 7: on the colored vinyl thing. Yeah.
Speaker 11: I tend to buy two copies sometimes because I want
Speaker 11: to keep shut and then to open. Yeah, and I
Speaker 11: sometimes I have like a sign one, so like I
Speaker 11: don't want to open the sign when I'll buy another copy.
Speaker 7: That exactually yeah right right, yeah, no that makes sense. Yeah,
Speaker 7: that that makes a lot of sense. I used to have, Uh,
Speaker 7: well I didn't. I ended up with it. I don't
Speaker 7: know where it is now. It's probably my storage unit.
Speaker 7: But when Kiss came out with the single for Unholy
Speaker 7: back in ninety two, what a great song. Oh yeah, yeah,
Speaker 7: I have a a it's on white vinyl limited edition
Speaker 7: of just a Single.
Speaker 9: Yeah, it was so cool. I remember the first time
Speaker 9: hearing that song and just going. I saw the video, yeah,
Speaker 9: just going what.
Speaker 7: Oh same yeah? Same here? Yeah, so good, so good.
Speaker 7: What else have you guys?
Speaker 8: Now?
Speaker 7: Have you been playing a lot of shows or what
Speaker 7: else has been going on? As far as shows, we
Speaker 7: played pretty continuous. Yeah, like it seems like you've been busy.
Speaker 9: Yeah, we've been busy. We're starting to write work on
Speaker 9: some new music. Are you excellent? And we're up for anything.
Speaker 9: If anybody's got a good show they want us to do,
Speaker 9: let's go.
Speaker 7: Yeah. Yeah. Kind of is the new stuff kind of
Speaker 7: in the same vein as has followed Awake.
Speaker 9: Or we got one new song which we got to
Speaker 9: get back to working on it because it's it's pretty
Speaker 9: awesome heavy, It's it's heavy. I think our new stuff
Speaker 9: is going to be pretty heavy. It's going to be heavier,
Speaker 9: I think, oh cool, yeah.
Speaker 8: Yeah, like the Falling Awake album heavy like that. Oh really,
Speaker 8: I think the one before that was it won't be like.
Speaker 9: It'll just kind of continue on what we do and
Speaker 9: we like more rocking.
Speaker 8: Yeah.
Speaker 10: So the difference between the new album and the last
Speaker 10: two albums I think is that all the songs now
Speaker 10: are going to be collectively written by all five of us.
Speaker 7: Okay, we're doing it old school.
Speaker 10: Yeah, as opposed to like a couple of guys that
Speaker 10: have been writing like a bank of songs like Edd
Speaker 10: and Jeff and then bringing them to the band. We're
Speaker 10: all like, you'll walk into like Bruce will walk into
Speaker 10: the room and you know, play something and then shoots
Speaker 10: across the room like he does.
Speaker 7: Yeah, what was that? That's how that new song started.
Speaker 10: And then within fifteen minutes we're all, you know playing it. Yeah,
Speaker 10: he starts timing lyrics how he wants them to go,
Speaker 10: and I miss you remember her name?
Speaker 7: Yeah, we.
Speaker 9: Used to do that back in the day, right as
Speaker 9: a band, and then yeah, things band members switching out
Speaker 9: so often that it got hard to be like, well,
Speaker 9: well we'll just work on stuff ourselves and whoever comes
Speaker 9: in can learn it, you know.
Speaker 10: But so arguably the third album is going to be
Speaker 10: the first true day to attend album.
Speaker 7: Okay, from a certain collectively perspective, Yeah, that's cool when
Speaker 7: when it comes together quickly like that too, That's how
Speaker 7: you know you've got something when it just sort of
Speaker 7: organically just comes together and yeah, yeah I'm excited.
Speaker 8: Yeah, this is all said for you.
Speaker 7: Oh, thank you so much.
Speaker 8: You know, we just all signed it for you.
Speaker 7: Oh that's awesome.
Speaker 8: Yeah, back in the frame we could do.
Speaker 7: Yeah, we'll take a picture at the end and I'll
Speaker 7: hold it up. Yeah. Nice, beautiful, beautiful. Oh speaking of
Speaker 7: you too, we should mention Tom is wearing a wonderful
Speaker 7: paper Jam shirt. Uh, we've we've got to know them.
Speaker 7: We've had Sheila and we love Jam. Yeah, very very cool.
Speaker 8: Some of our favorite people right there.
Speaker 9: Yeah, very supportive of the band. Absolutely.
Speaker 7: Yeah. Last week we had on the show, not Lee Crue,
Speaker 7: the Motley Cruze. Yeah, that was a lot of fun. Yeah,
Speaker 7: we met them through paper Well actually, well I shouldn't
Speaker 7: say we met them through paper Jam, because it turned
Speaker 7: out I knew two of the guys, but one of
Speaker 7: the guys I went to high school with. But but
Speaker 7: they didn't like it was kind of like they tried
Speaker 7: to keep it a surprise, like who was actually in
Speaker 7: the band, you know, because they showed up in full costume.
Speaker 7: But it was a lot. Yeah, that was a lot
Speaker 7: of fun. That was a lot of fun. Not Lee Crue. Yeah,
Speaker 7: but yeah, Paper Jam is doing great things. Love what
Speaker 7: they're love what they're doing. Uh, you guys of course
Speaker 7: had that that big feature that was great. Yeah, that
Speaker 7: was fantastic. Yeah, yeah, I've got that at home. Now
Speaker 7: who else?
Speaker 5: Uh?
Speaker 7: Who else are you playing with?
Speaker 12: Like?
Speaker 7: What else do you have coming up? As far as
Speaker 7: after tonight? Do you have more shows booked? Or we
Speaker 7: have a March eighth. That Charlie's Hill in Lebanon, Maine.
Speaker 7: That's a venue that up a lot. Yeah, I've never
Speaker 7: been there, but that name comes up so much on
Speaker 7: the show, Charlie's Hill.
Speaker 10: You'll never find a more friendly atmosphere and better sound
Speaker 10: than Charlie's Hill in Lloyd's.
Speaker 7: Man. Okay, and that's oh, thank you so much. And
Speaker 7: where where is that again?
Speaker 9: So it's in Lebanon, Maine, in the middle of nowhere.
Speaker 7: Really Yeah.
Speaker 9: And you drive in there and you're like, I'm going
Speaker 9: to be killed, and you walk in and it's like
Speaker 9: a nightclub from Boston. Oh god, it's really cool.
Speaker 8: In nineteen seventy six.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 9: Yeah, So once you walk in there and realize you're
Speaker 9: not going to be murdered and your car is going
Speaker 9: to be buried out back. You realize this place is cool? Yeah,
Speaker 9: and we have a blast there. We just played there
Speaker 9: last weekend actually, okay, Yeah, Mike and Terry run it.
Speaker 7: We love them.
Speaker 9: Very supportive of the band that they're coming to the
Speaker 9: show tonight.
Speaker 7: Oh, very cool, Yeah, very cool. Yeah. Everything I hear
Speaker 7: about Charlie still Is is fantastic.
Speaker 9: It's great. It's good for just rocking out.
Speaker 7: Is there is it like kind of it sounds like
Speaker 7: it's pretty like there is there not any other venues
Speaker 7: around there or is that kind of that? It's literally
Speaker 7: like living food.
Speaker 9: The food trucks they don't serve they don't serve alcohol,
Speaker 9: so you can bring your own beer, and we like
Speaker 9: when we can do.
Speaker 8: That, right, but nothing they got like the vendors.
Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, sometimes they have a food truck.
Speaker 8: Yeah, magic vendors.
Speaker 7: That's really cool. Yeah, that's awesome. Sweet.
Speaker 9: They do a lot of death metal festivals there too,
Speaker 9: with you know death metal bands with the logos you
Speaker 9: can't understand what it says.
Speaker 8: Yes, they have laugh love fast they do.
Speaker 9: Yeah, that's how we first we're introduced to that place
Speaker 9: playing one of those not the death Metal Fast Festival.
Speaker 7: They do. Okay, it's funny what you were saying about
Speaker 7: the death metal bands. I've been complaining about that since
Speaker 7: the day is when I worked at when I worked
Speaker 7: at Strawberries back in the day, and i'd be putting like,
Speaker 7: you know, like some of them, like Cannibal Corpse, I
Speaker 7: could kind of read their logo, although their album covers
Speaker 7: would give me nightmares. Some of them would probably give
Speaker 7: Satan nightmares. But but yeah, a lot of the logos,
Speaker 7: like you can't even read them, and it's like, I
Speaker 7: don't I've never understood, like from a branding in market respect,
Speaker 7: like why would you do that?
Speaker 9: And then when you see the poster with fifty of
Speaker 9: them together, yeah, like oh my god, like the brain
Speaker 9: is gone.
Speaker 7: You're right, right, yeah, no, it's uh yeah, it's it's
Speaker 7: pretty wild. So you've got Yeah, so you've got Charlie's Hill.
Speaker 7: And then I imagine like once we get into Spring,
Speaker 7: you'll be playing a lot, playing a lot more.
Speaker 9: Yeah, you know, we're kind of putting the feelers out there.
Speaker 9: We'd like to try. We want to get into some
Speaker 9: new venues, some new areas.
Speaker 10: And we won two spots over at the the Looney Bin.
Speaker 8: Was that the Battle of the bands where we won
Speaker 8: two spots for both Full Throttle? Yeah?
Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll be playing there in this right,
Speaker 9: we have one get we do one show? There is
Speaker 9: that we're doing?
Speaker 8: Yeah, I think they gave us two shows for bike week?
Speaker 9: Yeah, where we won the battle bands? Yeah?
Speaker 7: Where was that? That's okay? Where you is it? The
Speaker 7: Full Throttle Saloon? Is that what it's called? You guys
Speaker 7: aren't playing here now?
Speaker 13: Sorry?
Speaker 14: Those people couldn't be more so understanding. We're open for business.
Speaker 14: I mean, yeah, we were. We should be like sharing
Speaker 14: stuff with bands, So we're up for anything.
Speaker 7: You know.
Speaker 9: Hopefully some more national acts stuff will probably come about
Speaker 9: this year.
Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, but.
Speaker 9: Were I mean we'll open for somebody, we'll close for you,
Speaker 9: we'll play in the middle. We just like to play.
Speaker 7: Yeah.
Speaker 4: Up.
Speaker 7: I should ask you too about so falling Awake? Where
Speaker 7: was that? I'm sure we talked about this last time
Speaker 7: you were here, But those who are hearing you for
Speaker 7: the first time, where was that recorded? Because it or
Speaker 7: oh that's right, I remember now it's coming back to me.
Speaker 9: I was basically my basement in our jam space.
Speaker 7: I remember being surprised because it sounds like it was
Speaker 7: done at a million dollar recording studio.
Speaker 9: It really does, thank you, because I spent a lot
Speaker 9: of time on that.
Speaker 7: Yeah yeah yeah. What about the mastering, I do that too,
Speaker 7: You do that too? Yeah? Wow, yeah, it's it just
Speaker 7: sounds so good. Yeah.
Speaker 9: I tried paying people to master and I get them
Speaker 9: back and I'm like, I can do this better myself.
Speaker 9: So oh no kidding, Yeah, I just do it. I
Speaker 9: just do it. I mean they send it to the
Speaker 9: guys and then you know, they give me the yep
Speaker 9: it's good, and then yeah, then they usually mess with
Speaker 9: it some more and then try again.
Speaker 7: I'm never a rake. I don't know.
Speaker 9: I just get to that point where I know it's done.
Speaker 7: Yeah, you have a talent for it, though, have you
Speaker 7: if you recorded other bands or mastered other bands?
Speaker 9: So I've I've done mastering for other bands. I've been
Speaker 9: asked to record for other bands. But the thing is
Speaker 9: is like I couldn't, like, like it would be too.
Speaker 8: Expensive, like a dollar fifty an hour.
Speaker 9: Yeah, it was like you know, like it's like for
Speaker 9: the time you got to make some money for it,
Speaker 9: But the time that I put into something because I
Speaker 9: want it to be quality, right, it just wouldn't benefit
Speaker 9: like it would benefit the band. But then i'd really
Speaker 9: be working for like pennies. Yeah yeah, no, that's understandable.
Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean it's more like a labor love thing,
Speaker 11: like you're already you're so attached to.
Speaker 9: The p Yeah. Yeah, you know, it's like I would
Speaker 9: love to record bands, but yeah, it would just take
Speaker 9: it if I could do it for a job, and
Speaker 9: that's all I had to do. Yeah, sure, let's go.
Speaker 7: Right right, Yeah, no doubt.
Speaker 15: No.
Speaker 7: It was like I said, you definitely have a talent
Speaker 7: for it. Did that happen with Falling Away? You mentioned
Speaker 7: you you've sent things out to others to master and
Speaker 7: not not been happy with it.
Speaker 9: Did you do that with Falling Awake? But this was
Speaker 9: like the other you know, like older Oh okay, yeah
Speaker 9: that I did that. I tried some Yeah. Yeah, I
Speaker 9: tried a Berkeley person once.
Speaker 7: Oh really Yeah.
Speaker 9: It was horrible sounding. I'm like, it was really low.
Speaker 9: I'm like, dude, he's I have a little like so quiet. Oh,
Speaker 9: that's industry standard, he said. I go, no, it's not
Speaker 9: industry standard. Is cranking?
Speaker 7: Yeah?
Speaker 9: And then he sent it cranking and it was all distorted,
Speaker 9: and I'm like, I'm done, just like you're mocking me now.
Speaker 7: So yeah, well I guess he's a student for a reason. Yeah,
Speaker 7: hopefully hopefully eventually figured Oh we got better at it.
Speaker 8: He got his money back, no kidding.
Speaker 7: But I like doing it. Yeah, yeah, no, that's that's great.
Speaker 7: Like I said, everything sounds so good, very professional.
Speaker 9: It's a double edged sword because it's like I can
Speaker 9: do it myself, but like sometimes I just takes do it.
Speaker 9: It takes so long to do it because I'm so picky.
Speaker 9: But then on the other end, I don't have to
Speaker 9: pay somebody this huge money to do it.
Speaker 7: Was continuous bloom done, all the same stand thing. Yeah, yeah,
Speaker 7: right in the basement of.
Speaker 8: The reasons why we put up with his boloney.
Speaker 9: Yeah, you want a record, you play with me?
Speaker 7: There you go. Well that's a pretty good selling point,
Speaker 7: you know, make yourself. But I would love to record
Speaker 7: of the bands.
Speaker 9: I just don't. It's a time issue. Yeah, and then
Speaker 9: i'd have to charge too much, right right, ask these
Speaker 9: guys that Jesus, Jeff, you sent us a track at
Speaker 9: one am.
Speaker 7: Don't you got to get up for work? Yep? But
Speaker 7: I got up yeah, that's what caffeine's for.
Speaker 9: Right, Yeah, sleeping, I'm dead, So I know we're on.
Speaker 7: You guys are on a tight schedule because you got
Speaker 7: to get to uh, you got to get up to Portland.
Speaker 7: We get it roll. Yeah, yeah, No, I'm excited for
Speaker 7: you though. This is a great opportunity and if you
Speaker 7: are just joining us day to attendants here with us
Speaker 7: in studio. They are opening tonight for Ace Frehley at
Speaker 7: the Aura. Yes, and we're direct support for Ace. Yeah,
Speaker 7: that means we go on right before him. That's fantastic.
Speaker 9: I Guessa say, I've been waiting since nineteen seventy eight
Speaker 9: for this moment.
Speaker 8: Yeah, when I first got in Kiss no.
Speaker 7: Kidding, Yeah, yeah, it's very good. That's like your hero
Speaker 7: it is? Yeah? Is he is he here? Is he
Speaker 7: what got you into playing guitar?
Speaker 8: Exactly?
Speaker 7: No kidding? Yeah, yeah, it's funny. I saw an interview
Speaker 7: with him once, this wasn't long ago, where he said
Speaker 7: something about if he knew he was going to be
Speaker 7: such an influence on people, he would have practiced more
Speaker 7: because from a tech from a purely technical standpoint, he's
Speaker 7: not the greatest. But but obviously you know, Kiss is
Speaker 7: my favorite band, So I get it.
Speaker 9: It's not about he's got that, it's a feel he
Speaker 9: has when he plays. And just like I was saying, Tom,
Speaker 9: he doesn't have the he's not a great singer, but
Speaker 9: he just has a cool voice, right, you know. Yeah,
Speaker 9: and it's just like that's ace and it's like almost
Speaker 9: like cheesy kind of soundings. So amazing. Yeah, his new
Speaker 9: album ten thousand Volts is fantastic.
Speaker 7: Yeah, it is really good. I like it a lot,
Speaker 7: it a lot. Yeah, And he's the ultimate rock star
Speaker 7: to me growing up, you know. Yeah, And he's got
Speaker 7: such a weird the way he picks. Yeah, the way
Speaker 7: he holds his pick it so strange. I've seen very few.
Speaker 7: I feel like I've seen other guitar players who pick
Speaker 7: the way he does, but not many of them, you
Speaker 7: know what I mean. Yeah, like very very unusual, very
Speaker 7: unusual approach. But uh so we'll uh, we'll let you
Speaker 7: guys go in a minute. And of course we got
Speaker 7: to get a picture with with this wonderful, wonderful stuff
Speaker 7: that you brought. But so are there still tickets available
Speaker 7: for tonight for people who are here in this live
Speaker 7: who want to go?
Speaker 9: So yeah, I was told the other two days ago
Speaker 9: that they're over the eight hundred tickets sold, okay, and
Speaker 9: I believe the venue holds a thousand okay. So yeah,
Speaker 9: so it'll probably be sold out, probably gonna end up being,
Speaker 9: if not, yeah, outstanding, outstanding.
Speaker 8: This whole day feels like a make a wish. Yeah,
Speaker 8: like we just want to contest, like be a rock
Speaker 8: staff for a day.
Speaker 10: Yeah, at the morning at the radio station, get over
Speaker 10: to the hotel, or load in with it, you know,
Speaker 10: sound check with age.
Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, yeah, no big deal.
Speaker 9: He's literally going to be sad like we they sent
Speaker 9: us an hour by hour schedule for tonight. Oh no,
Speaker 9: he's literally going to be soundchecking when we load in. Yep,
Speaker 9: and then we get an hour soundcheck, which is crazy.
Speaker 15: You know.
Speaker 7: I was like, that's awesome.
Speaker 9: But it's a professional show to the max, and we
Speaker 9: feel lucky to be able to do it. And we
Speaker 9: just have a great contact that I've worked with for
Speaker 9: a long time.
Speaker 8: Who just yeah, I was so thankful for the opportunity.
Speaker 7: You know that. Kidding?
Speaker 8: Thank you? Bernie.
Speaker 7: My only suggestion, Oh is it is it Bernie from
Speaker 7: New England concert Bernie? What else? His last name goul
Speaker 7: I haven't seen him in twenty years. That's our man.
Speaker 7: But yeah, Bert Bernie is awesome. Ber Bernie is Bernie's great.
Speaker 7: I was going to say the one suggestion I would
Speaker 7: replace you said lucky. You're humble, and that's awesome, But
Speaker 7: I would replace lucky with fortunate because luck, when you say,
Speaker 7: it implies that you didn't earn it. You guys, you guys,
Speaker 7: are you guys? Are you guys? Have worked very hard?
Speaker 7: You've earned this opportunity, and yeah, it's true.
Speaker 9: Yeah, we appreciate that. And it's really cool because it's like,
Speaker 9: you know, we're five guys from Manchester here that were
Speaker 9: you know, based out of Manchester. We just have a
Speaker 9: good time playing music and we we got this wonderful
Speaker 9: opportunity to show people what we do today and the
Speaker 9: stars aligned. We got the you know, the vinyls ready
Speaker 9: to go, and the new set of CDs and all
Speaker 9: our merch. Wait to see our beautiful merch table Tom designed.
Speaker 7: Excellent.
Speaker 8: Yeah, coming tonight.
Speaker 10: Yeah, and I want to say happy birthday to my
Speaker 10: sister Liz.
Speaker 7: Happy birthday, Thank you, Happy birthday, Liz. Very good, very good,
Speaker 7: thank you man. Absolutely guys, so well. I know you
Speaker 7: got a roll. What should we What should we close
Speaker 7: out with? I'll let you pick, you'd pick you'd like
Speaker 7: to pick?
Speaker 10: I have not real Larry, I don't know if I
Speaker 10: have Wait, let me you know what I can.
Speaker 7: I can get it here? Yeah, let me uh. For
Speaker 7: some reason, that one's not one of the ones I
Speaker 7: had to open and I don't know why. Why am
Speaker 7: I I'm having a problem finding it and make sure people.
Speaker 7: Of course you can't make it to the show. You
Speaker 7: can buy the album on digital. It's on all the
Speaker 7: digital elements. Yeah, pick another one. I probably want to
Speaker 7: you pick it? Yeah, you picked pick whatever you want. Well,
Speaker 7: you know, my my personal favorite is not coming Back.
Speaker 7: I love that song and I like mob stuff. I
Speaker 7: think that's what I like. No, No, in all seriousness,
Speaker 7: that tells you a great story. It's a great song.
Speaker 7: All right. So we're gonna wrap up this segment with
Speaker 7: Not Coming Back by day to attend. They are playing
Speaker 7: tonight in Portland opening for Ace Frehley at the Aura.

Speaker 7: New Marrow dose of Matt Connorton Unleashed and we are
Speaker 7: live from the studios of WMNH ninety five point three FM,
Speaker 7: Inglorious a Manchester, New Hampshire. Little icy out there from
Speaker 7: what I hear. Fortunately I didn't have far to drive,
Speaker 7: but so be careful. If you are listening live on
Speaker 7: Saturday morning and you are in your car, please be
Speaker 7: very careful. And of course if the guys from Day
Speaker 7: to Attend are listening, thank you again guys for everything,
Speaker 7: and please be very careful on the road headed up
Speaker 7: to Portland. They are playing tonight. They are opening for
Speaker 7: Ace Frehley. Of course, Kiss is my favorite band, so
Speaker 7: I'm very very happy for them, and they're going to
Speaker 7: be opening tonight for Ace at the Aura in Portland.
Speaker 7: So have a great show, guys. Thank you again for
Speaker 7: coming in. That's why they weren't able to stay for
Speaker 7: the full hour. They're on kind of a tight schedule
Speaker 7: because they do have to do some traveling and it's
Speaker 7: a very very big day for those guys. But love
Speaker 7: Day to Attend, and like I said, they have earned it.
Speaker 7: They have earned every little bit of success that they're
Speaker 7: having so very proud of them, so great, great stuff.
Speaker 7: Let's see. I do want to remind people too. On Monday, Monday,
Speaker 7: February third, I will be a guest on the Charles
Speaker 7: Richardson Show. Charles went away for a little while, but
Speaker 7: he's back his show. I should be specific. I say
Speaker 7: he went away. It makes it sound like he went
Speaker 7: to prison or something. As far as I know, he's
Speaker 7: never been in prison. No, but Charles Richardson Show is back.
Speaker 7: I think it's been back for a little while now,
Speaker 7: but he's going to have me on as a guest
Speaker 7: on Monday night, February third to talk about hypnosis, and
Speaker 7: I think he might even have me hypnotize him live
Speaker 7: on the air. So that show is streaming at both
Speaker 7: the Charles Richardson Show Facebook page and the YouTube page,
Speaker 7: and you can also go to power one Radio dot
Speaker 7: com and it's the number one powerwradio dot com to
Speaker 7: stream the show live there as well, And of course
Speaker 7: it'll be available on demand afterward, and I'm really looking
Speaker 7: forward to that. So for those who don't know, if
Speaker 7: you're confused by my mention of hypnosis, one of the
Speaker 7: things that I do. One of the things because I'm
Speaker 7: a very very busy human is. I am a certified
Speaker 7: hypnotherapist and I help people to quit smoking and lose
Speaker 7: weight and deal with phobias and reduce stress and all
Speaker 7: kinds of stuff. So if you want to learn more
Speaker 7: about that, you can always go to my website mattconnorton
Speaker 7: dot com and click the hypnosis tab. You can learn
Speaker 7: all about what I do. But I will be a
Speaker 7: guest on Charles's show Monday, Monday Night. The show starts
Speaker 7: at eight pm. I'll be joining him at eight ten
Speaker 7: Eastern time. Check social listings. As Polyc likes to say,
Speaker 7: that reminds me too if you missed it last night
Speaker 7: on Retro Spectrum Radio with Polyc. Of course, I'm one
Speaker 7: of Paul's co hosts on that show. John Hopwood was
Speaker 7: with us again for a second week in a row,
Speaker 7: as well as Texas Mike, and this week Tony Petrello
Speaker 7: joined us as well as we did part two of
Speaker 7: our Celebrity Deaths of twenty twenty four. We couldn't fit
Speaker 7: it all in one week. There was so much celebrity
Speaker 7: death it's almost like twenty twenty four was an unprecedented
Speaker 7: year of celebrities just dying, so we had more to
Speaker 7: talk about this week, so if you missed it, of course,
Speaker 7: you can get the archive at wmnhradio dot org. We
Speaker 7: had a great time. We always have a great time
Speaker 7: on Retrospectrum Radio with Polyc. And speaking of that show,
Speaker 7: I don't know what the theme is going to be
Speaker 7: on the next one, but I do know that on
Speaker 7: February fourteen, Jenny will be joining us on the show,
Speaker 7: and as well as a couple of other partners of
Speaker 7: people joining us on the program for the Newlywed Game,
Speaker 7: a version of it of course on Retrospectrum Radio with Polyc.
Speaker 7: So that will be because Valentine's Day this year happens
Speaker 7: to fall on a Friday, so Friday, February fourteenth, be
Speaker 7: sure to check that out. Of course, Retrospection Radio with
Speaker 7: Police every Friday night from eight to eleven pm here
Speaker 7: from the studios of WMNH and you can stream the
Speaker 7: show of course at wmnhradio dot org. All right, so
Speaker 7: we're gonna do a couple more things to finish out
Speaker 7: this hour, and then in the third hour of the
Speaker 7: band Veil's End will be joining us. Really looking forward
Speaker 7: to that. But we open the show with it today.
Speaker 7: We're going to do it again in this hour, the
Speaker 7: American radio premiere of Rivia or Ravia. I don't know
Speaker 7: how to pronounce this band's name. They're from Liverpool and
Speaker 7: they're going to be skyping in next week. Gary from
Speaker 7: Big G'SPR he sent me a thank you for playing
Speaker 7: the track to open the show. He's part of the
Speaker 7: team of that band and he said that when they
Speaker 7: join us next week on the show, they'll explain the name,
Speaker 7: so we'll get clarification shortly on how to pronounce it.
Speaker 7: It's our Ivia and it's all caps, so we'll learn
Speaker 7: more about that. We'll get that nailed down that information
Speaker 7: next week on the show when the guys join us.
Speaker 7: But what a great track this is, so we're gonna
Speaker 7: play this again. It's the American radio premiere. The first
Speaker 7: time any American radio station has played this track. We're
Speaker 7: doing this today here on WM and H. It's called Fallen'.
Speaker 7: We're gonna play that, and then we're also gonna play
Speaker 7: again Chained, which is the brand new single from Molly
Speaker 7: Diago if you missed it. Molly joined me on the
Speaker 7: show during the first hour today and just a really
Speaker 7: interesting conversation. Not only did we talk about her music,
Speaker 7: but also got some perspective from her on the music
Speaker 7: industry legal issues in the music industry pitfalls. Thanks to
Speaker 7: look Out for a lot of the stuff that Jenny
Speaker 7: and I talk about on the show, we got to
Speaker 7: talk with Molly. I got to talk with Molly about that,
Speaker 7: and I know that she shared a lot of really
Speaker 7: good information too. So we're also gonna play that again, Chained,
Speaker 7: the brand new single Chained featuring Jackson Wilder, the brand
Speaker 7: new single from our friend Molly Diago. So first we're
Speaker 7: gonna play the new track from Rivia, the American radio
Speaker 7: premiere of Fallen, and then we'll play Molly Diago's new song.
Speaker 7: And then in the third hour they all end us
Speaker 7: here with us, so we have plenty more to come.
Speaker 7: If you're listening live on Saturday, don't go anywhere.
Speaker 5: We would just chance back then just a little bit
Speaker 5: more down for us.
Speaker 19: There was always the Talbot and we're figuring it out
Speaker 19: with them. With just my manchan, we were so coose,
Speaker 19: but sofa always to jam the Mamasafa.
Speaker 5: Yeah, we know all it has so we try to jam,
Speaker 5: but chuse me, just my manchin catch.
Speaker 26: Your lap six saying, let's see shirt on Monday, Like
Speaker 26: that's probably.

Speaker 5: Guns somewhere going around and round and ex johns, wait
Speaker 5: you got me? Then you don't wear in chaste. Neither
Speaker 5: one of us was too blame, just couldn't figure it
Speaker 5: out and so we put so around a set of chest.
Speaker 5: Can't say this, it's not the same sense out bigon.
Speaker 17: We can well when we sit a move on.
Speaker 5: I gotta see you with Jane.
Speaker 7: I gotta try a sent in the right back and
