Speaker 2: Actually, let's do this, Jim.

Speaker 2: and any other pertinent information you want to If you

Speaker 2: I got this sexy new shirt that you gave me,
Speaker 2: but yeah, go ahead. Thanks.
Speaker 9: Hey.
Speaker 19: My name is Jim Hurley and I'm the drummer with
Speaker 19: the Turbocats. Gosh, how long we've been together, guys, like
Speaker 19: probably like five years or so.
Speaker 18: Yeah, pushing. It's been a wonderful journey.
Speaker 19: Yes, it's a very interesting journey. I'm just you know,
Speaker 19: the drummer in the band.
Speaker 2: Do my part.
Speaker 19: I do screen printing, simple stuff, mostly bands, but I
Speaker 19: guess it could really apply to anything. So if you
Speaker 19: need scrimprint and just check out the Turbocats on Facebook
Speaker 19: and you can message us.
Speaker 18: We'll take care of Yeah.
Speaker 2: Yeah, very good, very good, and please follow us, yes, yes,
Speaker 2: all right.
Speaker 18: And so I am Wesley Dolan. I play guitar and Turbocats.
Speaker 18: I also write a lot of the music and also
Speaker 18: do vocals, and it's been a super fun time. I
Speaker 18: love playing with these guys and we all have a
Speaker 18: special part in the band.
Speaker 2: All right, very good, and you.
Speaker 18: My name is Chris Bean.
Speaker 2: I play bass.
Speaker 20: I do vocals to written a song or two more
Speaker 20: to come, yeah, more to come to So that's really
Speaker 20: exciting and.
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, very good. Ready, very good, very good. So
Speaker 2: you've got some new You got a couple of new
Speaker 2: songs actually that we're going to feature today. One of
Speaker 2: them I'm particularly excited about that. I I'd mentioned that
Speaker 2: I definitely only wanted to play first on the show today. Now,
Speaker 2: local listeners in Manchester, New Hampshire, of course, will be
Speaker 2: very familiar with the subject matter of this song. But
Speaker 2: but but a Cadillac Motel, which I love such a
Speaker 2: great the song. Not I've never actually been inside the building,
Speaker 2: but but tell us about this for for people who
Speaker 2: are not in the area who might not know about
Speaker 2: the Cadillac Motel.
Speaker 18: Okay, so I'll start it off by saying this. So
Speaker 18: one of my favorite musical artists is lou Reid from
Speaker 18: Velvet Underground. He's a huge inspiration on me. And there
Speaker 18: was one day where I was thinking about lou Reid
Speaker 18: and I feel like he was really good at kind
Speaker 18: of He was in the New York music scene, and
Speaker 18: he was really good at kind of like capturing certain
Speaker 18: vibes from New York and certain places and talking about
Speaker 18: like maybe the more dingier side of things, not always
Speaker 18: the most PG stuff, especially at the time but I
Speaker 18: really like that idea how he would just kind of
Speaker 18: write about things that were around him and stuff like that. Yeah,
Speaker 18: so I was kind of inspired to write my kind
Speaker 18: of lou Read inspired song. So I was kind of thinking, like, well,
Speaker 18: what could I write about in Manchester where I could
Speaker 18: kind of have the same vibe as like a Lou
Speaker 18: Reed song. And for those listeners who don't know the
Speaker 18: Cadillac Motel, it's located on Chestnut Street. They have a
Speaker 18: slogan called stay a night or a Lifetime, So that
Speaker 18: just kind of sets up the vibe for the place
Speaker 18: where maybe there's been some shady things that have gone
Speaker 18: down there in the past. And we figured it was
Speaker 18: a Manchester staple and it was a great thing to
Speaker 18: write about. So I immediately just got out my pen
Speaker 18: and pad a paper and that song literally just came
Speaker 18: out of me. It was almost like I feel like
Speaker 18: the best songs I write, I don't even think about them,
Speaker 18: they just kind of come out. And if you come
Speaker 18: to Manchester, you got to drive by it at least
Speaker 18: because it has a lot of character. Yes, you know
Speaker 18: a lot of stories that have lived within those walls.
Speaker 18: Sure is the place to check out.
Speaker 2: And now have you approached the management there and and said, hey,
Speaker 2: do you want to use the song in some way
Speaker 2: to promote your establishment?
Speaker 18: So I haven't, but honestly, that would be super cool.
Speaker 18: I was totally thinking about it. Yeah, I mean we
Speaker 18: might as well. We've we've thought about just renting a
Speaker 18: room there for maybe a few hours or a nighttime
Speaker 18: just to get the true or.
Speaker 2: A lifetime yeah, or a lifetime for life.
Speaker 18: Maybe we'll like it so much we don't want to leave.
Speaker 2: Oh boy, Well, we should play this and then we'll
Speaker 2: come back and chat some more. I'm dying to play this.
Speaker 2: This is so good if you're just joining us. We've
Speaker 2: got Turbocats here with us in studio, and here it
Speaker 2: is rand new track from the turbot from see I
Speaker 2: keep doing it from TURBOI we had a whole I
Speaker 2: should explain to the audience. We had a whole conversation
Speaker 2: off air about I was asking these guys, is it
Speaker 2: Turbocats or the Turbocats. Pretty sure it was just Turbocats.
Speaker 2: But there's uh, there's a lot of bands that are
Speaker 2: plagued by that, you know, whether to include the the
Speaker 2: the you know, like, uh, you know I I told
Speaker 2: these guys, uh Jim that you weren't here yet. But
Speaker 2: I was talking about how growing up, talking Heads was
Speaker 2: always one of my favorite bands. But my entire childhood
Speaker 2: I thought it was the talking Heads, and eventually I
Speaker 2: realized it was just talking Heads. So so I'm trying
Speaker 2: to be very precise, but it is Turbocats, not the Turbocats.
Speaker 2: And check this out. I love this. This is called
Speaker 2: Cadillac Motel.
Speaker 4: I've been busted, I been disgusted.
Speaker 1: I pig shot down.
Speaker 14: I penned down.
Speaker 7: How you been like a.
Speaker 14: Hotel, stay a night for a lifetime?
Speaker 4: Hunchester on the street.
Speaker 1: In the six o three?
Speaker 14: How the cattle that hotelco?
Speaker 1: I haven't lost him.
Speaker 21: I've been discusting, I've been shot down, Ida, Hardy Motel,
Speaker 21: Harley Motel.
Speaker 6: How are you count this hotel?
Speaker 4: Hardy Hotel, stay night or a light?
Speaker 2: I love it. I love it. It's motel right yep.
Speaker 2: That was another thing we talked about off airs a
Speaker 2: motel or hotel. I love that you did capture that
Speaker 2: lou read vibe. I think, oh, thank you so much,
Speaker 2: well done, Well done, guys. Turbocats is here with us
Speaker 2: in studio. And that's one of the brand new songs. Now,
Speaker 2: what's the plan for these, because you've got you've got
Speaker 2: two brand new songs that we're playing today, and then
Speaker 2: if you know, if we have time, we'll get in
Speaker 2: some of some of the older stuff too from the
Speaker 2: last time you were with us. But actually before before
Speaker 2: we talk about that, we have a call. Let's see
Speaker 2: who's on the line. Hello, caller, you're on the air.
Speaker 22: Oh, snaps Jim. To show my support for the turbocats.
Speaker 22: I have a turbocat on top of me right now.
Speaker 22: It's pretty cool and yeah, just decided to listen in
Speaker 22: to some turbocats on ninety point five three?
Speaker 18: Nice. What's the turbocat's name? We got to rep the cats.
Speaker 22: Name on are He's like, he's one of those orange guys.
Speaker 18: Nice, love the Orange guys.
Speaker 22: Yeah, getting.
Speaker 2: The great.
Speaker 22: Oh yeah, that was a good track track.
Speaker 18: Oh thank you?
Speaker 2: Cool? Yeah, thanks, we'll be playing it again this afternoon.
Speaker 18: You'll hear us.
Speaker 22: Well, awesome, All right, I'm gonna I think that was
Speaker 22: about it.
Speaker 18: Can we get a mood? Yeah before you hang up?
Speaker 22: All right, but.
Speaker 2: Oh, I guess.
Speaker 18: Request Some people are modest about yeah, what is that
Speaker 18: a moo?
Speaker 14: Yeah?
Speaker 18: Moo yeah? Oh yeah yeah. So I'm pretty sure I
Speaker 18: coined unless if someone else that. I don't know if
Speaker 18: coined it before me. But so I had a black
Speaker 18: and white cat. Unfortunately she's over the Rainbow Bridge now okay,
Speaker 18: but I had her for over ten years. Her name
Speaker 18: was Pepper, Oh my pep cat. But I wrote a
Speaker 18: song called My Cat Looks Like a Cow, which is
Speaker 18: on our last album, and it's about my cat pet
Speaker 18: in her looking like a cow. So in the song
Speaker 18: I coined the term moo yow because I'm like, well,
Speaker 18: if a cat was actually mixed with the cow, what
Speaker 18: sound would it make?
Speaker 23: Mo?
Speaker 2: Yeah that makes sense.
Speaker 18: Yeah, yeah, you're still there. Maybe we could get a mood.
Speaker 22: I kind of missed that last part about the request.
Speaker 18: Oh yeah, can we hear it now? Can you give
Speaker 18: us our best moo yoo?
Speaker 22: Oh yeah, moo yoo? Yeah?
Speaker 2: Well done?
Speaker 18: Yes, you get a shirt?
Speaker 2: Oh very nice. All right, So I want to talk
Speaker 2: about the other new song before we get caught up
Speaker 2: on everything you guys have been up to actually, and
Speaker 2: then we'll talk about what you're gonna be doing with
Speaker 2: these But I'm dying to talk about this, because again
Speaker 2: and Jimmy weren't here for this, but we had an
Speaker 2: off air conversation about this. So I learned something from
Speaker 2: Wes about well tell tell us about the backstory of
Speaker 2: UFO and the six O three.
Speaker 18: Okay, So, on the same lines as Cadillac Motel, I
Speaker 18: kind of wanted to start writing some lot of songs
Speaker 18: that were local and kind of true to people who
Speaker 18: listen to us who live around here and stuff like that.
Speaker 18: So another thing which I feel like puts New Hampshire
Speaker 18: kind of on the map is that the first alien
Speaker 18: abduction that was reported actually took place in New Hampshire
Speaker 18: and it was a couple, Betty and Barney Hill, and
Speaker 18: it was in the fifties, I believe, and they were
Speaker 18: driving up north and basically they saw a bunch of
Speaker 18: lights and spooky stuff going on, and they basically had
Speaker 18: a blackout period where they both kind of there's this
Speaker 18: time lapse where they can't account for and they don't
Speaker 18: really know what happened, and they started kind of having
Speaker 18: these like reoccurring dreams of aliens basically like examining them
Speaker 18: and taking them on their ship. And it's really interesting
Speaker 18: because they ended up actually getting a psychologist to basically
Speaker 18: hypnotize them and kind of try and have them recall
Speaker 18: some of these memories and things that happened. And the
Speaker 18: thing that was really crazy was that the psychologist actually
Speaker 18: got them to both share things of their experience, and
Speaker 18: a lot of what each part of the couple was
Speaker 18: saying actually corroborated what the other one was saying. So,
Speaker 18: I mean, I think UFOs are alive and well, especially
Speaker 18: in the six ZHO three. And there's one little more
Speaker 18: bit to the story is that we have a lot
Speaker 18: of friends up north, so we play a lot of
Speaker 18: shit shows up north. The Unwells are a great band
Speaker 18: from up north. Timmy Heist in the four five six.
Speaker 18: But every time we drive up north to play those shows,
Speaker 18: I always think about this alien abduction because it could
Speaker 18: happen to us. It could happen to anyone, and who knows,
Speaker 18: maybe it did at one point with us, because I
Speaker 18: think there probably was, yeah, going through the notch. I
Speaker 18: think there was one time that we were driving up
Speaker 18: and there actually is a moment of time that was
Speaker 18: actually unaccounted for for us, really yeah, And the next
Speaker 18: thing we knew, we were at the Rock and roll
Speaker 18: Show ready to play. So I have has a double meaning.
Speaker 2: Well, so I didn't know this. This is the part
Speaker 2: that I learned when we were talking off era that
Speaker 2: that was the first there's was the first documented alien
Speaker 2: abduction or the first reported however you want to say it.
Speaker 2: I didn't know that. Yeah, so very very interesting. Well
Speaker 2: let's give this a listen, uh UFO and the six
Speaker 2: O three. Do you have the title right? Yepka, yep,
Speaker 2: right here it is, and this is turbocats brand new
Speaker 2: from Turbocats.
Speaker 24: Dot ye you.
Speaker 25: We'll try to.
Speaker 4: Show Black Barty his dad.
Speaker 7: Saw something that game chill.
Speaker 1: Boa and the six.
Speaker 14: BOM and the six BOM and the six.
Speaker 1: BOM and the six O tody.
Speaker 25: Ser bash fights.
Speaker 21: I did that, Sid wasn't right, shot a chill stream
Speaker 21: back saw.
Speaker 13: The chill apart. Oh when the six old with the
Speaker 13: six old, when the six sound, when.
Speaker 7: The six O M M.
Speaker 9: Table? Maybe get in Samon names out six.
Speaker 2: Six U f O on the six oh three brand
Speaker 2: new from turbocats. And we have Turbocats here with us
Speaker 2: live in studio. Yeah, that's another great track. Guys.
Speaker 18: Oh, thank you so much.
Speaker 2: You absolutely so. What is the what is the plan.
Speaker 2: And with the new songs, it's the two new ones
Speaker 2: that we're featuring today.
Speaker 18: So I think basically our plan is that we were
Speaker 18: basically gonna release these two new tracks that everyone just
Speaker 18: heard on all our streaming platforms and all of that
Speaker 18: sort of stuff as we continue to work on the
Speaker 18: new album kind of as a teaser, just to get
Speaker 18: people excited, just so they can kind of see where
Speaker 18: our new sound is going. Yeah, hopefully they enjoy it,
Speaker 18: and then when we finish our full length album, then
Speaker 18: we'll drop it as a whole and those two new
Speaker 18: songs will be on the new.
Speaker 2: Album Outstanding Outstanding. Well, I thought we had somebody on
Speaker 2: the line, but oh they're not there. Try again call
Speaker 2: or if you'd like, but no, very cool. Now do
Speaker 2: you have any kind of an ETA on when.
Speaker 22: One?
Speaker 18: So it seems like it's going pretty quick. After recording
Speaker 18: our last album, where we were doing a lot of
Speaker 18: like trial and error sort of stuff, it seems like
Speaker 18: with the new one we have a very good method down.
Speaker 18: Which we do. Have to throw a lot of props
Speaker 18: to Jim over here because it's still learning. Yeah, we're learning,
Speaker 18: we learn as we go, but he has a lot
Speaker 18: of great audio equipment so we can actually record at
Speaker 18: our practice space, and Jim's put a lot of work
Speaker 18: into perfecting the art. I shall say, okay, and this
Speaker 18: recording process is going a lot quicker than the last one. Okay,
Speaker 18: so it should be it should be done pretty quickly.
Speaker 18: I think maybe like a couple of months.
Speaker 2: Talk Oh wow, yeah, oh cool, yeah, awesome.
Speaker 18: We do it all in house, so for us, it's
Speaker 18: you know, we can mix it, master it, do all
Speaker 18: that all ourselves.
Speaker 2: Oh that's that's great. Yeah, that's great.
Speaker 18: And it gives it that punk DIY ethos too, which
Speaker 18: we all love so much.
Speaker 2: It does, it does, but it still sounds great too. Sonically,
Speaker 2: it sounds really really good. Thank you and Jim you also,
Speaker 2: so we should mention too. I think we alluded to
Speaker 2: it earlier. But the shirts, so you're you're screen screen
Speaker 2: screenprint all being a DIY, you screenprint all these yourself,
Speaker 2: right yeah?
Speaker 19: Yeah, basically you know this studio where we're set up,
Speaker 19: I've got a room where you know, I've set up
Speaker 19: for screen printing. I just started doing our own work
Speaker 19: and then other bands would ask me to do work,
Speaker 19: and you know, I've done a couple of businesses and whatnot.
Speaker 2: Excellent.
Speaker 19: I've been upgrading the equipment and yeah, set up to
Speaker 19: do you know, basic screen printing work. Yeah, you know, yeah,
Speaker 19: and their quality shirts. Yeah, they come out really nice.
Speaker 19: People have been happy. I mean I've been at for
Speaker 19: about eight years now. Oh okay, it's eight years, and
Speaker 19: you know I haven't had any problems.
Speaker 2: That's great. Thing, that's great. Now, are you guys doing
Speaker 2: anything from each other than shirts or just shirts? So far?
Speaker 18: Stickers. I put some stuff up on etsyed.
Speaker 19: You know, it's some print on demand using our Logoh
Speaker 19: so people want like, you know, coffee mugs, t shirts, hoodies.
Speaker 18: I've got some of those items up there.
Speaker 2: Yeah, print on demand excellent, excellent.
Speaker 18: And there is actually a new logo up on the
Speaker 18: Etsy side too, yeah, which really really cool. Yeah. We
Speaker 18: actually played a show recently at the Bungalow and one
Speaker 18: of the other bands that played gone in contact with
Speaker 18: us after and they liked our music so much and
Speaker 18: they ended up drying up this mock design almost like
Speaker 18: a new Turbocat's logo.
Speaker 2: Oh wow.
Speaker 18: So we ended up purchasing it from him because it
Speaker 18: was a super cool rad logo. So that's also up
Speaker 18: on our Etsy what Jim was talking about. So we
Speaker 18: had the classic logo which is on your shirt, and
Speaker 18: then we have the new logo too. Oh okay, there's
Speaker 18: many options, so check out our Etsy site. There's a
Speaker 18: lot of good stuff there.
Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, absolutely, we should play one of the let's
Speaker 2: play one of the older ones. What do you guys
Speaker 2: want to?
Speaker 12: Oh?
Speaker 2: Should we play? You know, I feel like we should play.
Speaker 2: My cat looks like a couch. Oh yeah, because we
Speaker 2: talked about it earlier.
Speaker 23: Yep.
Speaker 2: So and what is it? A move?
Speaker 14: Move? Yeah?
Speaker 18: Yeah, one, two, three?
Speaker 2: Yeow would have done that for the station. Wait a minute,
Speaker 2: Wait a minute, we have a call. Let's see see
Speaker 2: what's on the line here. Hello Coller, you're on the air.
Speaker 12: Hello, Matt is always thanks for hosting.
Speaker 2: You're welcome.
Speaker 12: Uh Chris, mister Hansen Barlow and Jim, my previous drummer
Speaker 12: from another This is the yo ya Jim. Jim knows
Speaker 12: me as Frank. Yeah, I was Frank back in the day.
Speaker 12: I just want to I just want to say a
Speaker 12: couple of things. Number One, have you guys had your za?
Speaker 18: Oh my god, is a weekly part of my diet.
Speaker 18: I have always been cruising for that.
Speaker 12: Yeah, I love that, love that. The other the other
Speaker 12: thing I want to say, this is more directed towards
Speaker 12: the masses. Check these guys out live. So a quick
Speaker 12: little vignette from the I was at Keen Music Fest
Speaker 12: last year, my favorite events of all events every single year.
Speaker 12: I actually didn't know you guys were on the air
Speaker 12: this morning. I kind of wish I knew previously because
Speaker 12: I'm on the way to appointment whatever. So at Keen
Speaker 12: Music Fest, I was actually Jim couldn't be there, and
Speaker 12: and I came to like support Jim because, like I said,
Speaker 12: he was my previous drummer.
Speaker 2: Married guys.
Speaker 12: Chris and mister Barlow held it down. I was supremely
Speaker 12: impressed to the point where there's another band on another
Speaker 12: station I wanted to see, and I would. I just
Speaker 12: stayed glued to that gazebo. I love that, let me
Speaker 12: tell you so. Obviously. I look forward to the day
Speaker 12: when I could see the entire lineup. And you know,
Speaker 12: I can't always make it to your shows, but I
Speaker 12: definitely want to make it to one of your next
Speaker 12: shows because these guys rock guys, and I'm good. I
Speaker 12: can't wait. I don't know. It's callec motel and h
Speaker 12: what's the other one? The six three is that? Is
Speaker 12: that recording out?
Speaker 18: So it will be soon. So we debuted them on
Speaker 18: the radio show today, but this weekend at some point
Speaker 18: I'm going to get them up on them. I think
Speaker 18: there's kind of a few days waiting period, but we're
Speaker 18: gonna get them right up on all the streaming platforms.
Speaker 19: So give it a.
Speaker 12: Spread, the spread the cheers, Oh for sure.
Speaker 18: Yeah, they should be up within a week. And then
Speaker 18: just keep checking turbocats on streaming platforms and you'll see
Speaker 18: them up here soon enough.
Speaker 12: And one more thing, and one more thing. This is
Speaker 12: for the masses and for you, Matt. Okay, I'm not
Speaker 12: even I'm a dog person and these guys got my
Speaker 12: head songs about cats. Let me tell you, let me
Speaker 12: tell you. I'm a believer. So thank you, thank you
Speaker 12: for taking the call.
Speaker 8: Man.
Speaker 14: We need a movie.
Speaker 2: Oh muh yeah.
Speaker 18: Yeah, give us your best mood. Yeah before you leave.
Speaker 2: Oh hey, Cisco, you're still there.
Speaker 12: Yeah, I'm still here. I mistakenly turned on the radio
Speaker 12: in my car. I didn't want to do that because
Speaker 12: I obviously feedback.
Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah, these guys were asking for a mu
Speaker 2: yao before you.
Speaker 12: Go yaw yea yeah, all right, take care of you,
Speaker 12: all right.
Speaker 2: Very nice, very nice, nice here from Cisco. All right,
Speaker 2: so without further ado, speaking of mu yao, we will play.
Speaker 2: My cat looks like a cow, and this is turbocats.
Speaker 18: My cat is black cat.
Speaker 1: Why she got spots like a cow. But she doesn't go.
Speaker 10: She goes, yeah, you won't.
Speaker 1: Fly my pussy cat and know my she'll be out
Speaker 1: home safe, playing with her bottle of yull. My cow
Speaker 1: looks like a cow?
Speaker 7: Who we are?
Speaker 18: We have?
Speaker 14: Who we have.
Speaker 1: Orses mother, big stud to all the little ladies going
Speaker 1: going when she goes new the cow is captain used.
Speaker 1: They don't know what to do.
Speaker 4: Well, she looks just like a cow, but she don't do.
Speaker 1: My cow looks like a cow.
Speaker 14: Who we aw.
Speaker 9: W we aw w we aw.
Speaker 1: My cat is black and why she got spots like
Speaker 1: a cat, But she doesn't.
Speaker 26: She goes.
Speaker 4: Fine, pussy cat in no by.
Speaker 2: Show me own.
Speaker 1: Playing with balla young.
Speaker 2: My cat looks like a.
Speaker 18: My cat looks like a.
Speaker 9: My cat looks like a.
Speaker 1: My cat looks like a cat.
Speaker 2: My cat looks like a cow. The band is Turbocats
Speaker 2: and we've got the guys Jim Wesson, Chris here from
Speaker 2: Turbo Cats here with us in studio. And yeah, that's
Speaker 2: another that's another great song from you guys.
Speaker 18: Thank you by the way.
Speaker 2: So, for those who are listening live, you guys have
Speaker 2: a show today, do you know? Oh you don't, Okay, Oh.
Speaker 19: We're just it's a few people getting together at my
Speaker 19: Oh gotcha, I gotcha.
Speaker 2: All right. So are you guys playing out a lot?
Speaker 2: Are you doing a lot of shows? It sounds like
Speaker 2: you've been busy.
Speaker 18: Yeah, well, yeah, we've been super busy. We've been playing
Speaker 18: a bunch of shows, a lot of shows up north.
Speaker 18: We played at the Bungalow. We do have some house
Speaker 18: shows coming up this summer. Okay, yeah, yeah, the spot
Speaker 18: and Nash was the super cool spot. If people haven't
Speaker 18: been there yet, that place is awesome, excellent. Right now,
Speaker 18: we're kind of focusing on getting our album out before
Speaker 18: we try and book like a bunch more shows and
Speaker 18: stuff like that. Yeah, host shows coming up in July.
Speaker 2: Yeah, very good, very good. So for people obviously you've
Speaker 2: been on the show before, but for people who are
Speaker 2: new to you, tell us about the turbocats concept. Where
Speaker 2: does where does it come from? Obviously? I mean I
Speaker 2: assume all three of you enjoy cats, yeah, although it'd
Speaker 2: be funny if one of you was actually allergic to
Speaker 2: cats or something.
Speaker 18: I I am actually everybody has.
Speaker 19: It started was I was in a band called Slow
Speaker 19: Coyote and we didn't have a bassist. So we, you know,
Speaker 19: what's let's find a guitarist and have him played bass
Speaker 19: for us. So we found Wes Yeah, and you know,
Speaker 19: he went out and bought a bass started playing bass,
Speaker 19: and then the lead singer guitarist for that band, you know,
Speaker 19: left for New Orleans and we were kind of stuck behind,
Speaker 19: and Wes had been doing a solo thing for quite
Speaker 19: a while, so it's like, hey, let's let's rock out
Speaker 19: my solo songs.
Speaker 18: So we started there.
Speaker 19: And then he's like, hey, you know a friend of
Speaker 19: mine that I used to be in a band with
Speaker 19: a long time ago and grew up with, Chris, would
Speaker 19: be interested. So Chris came on board, and it's just
Speaker 19: you know it, It worked from there. Yeah, you know,
Speaker 19: so it's been great worked out.
Speaker 18: You want to share your origins bass and turbo cast?
Speaker 20: Yeah, because I remember I was well, I was not
Speaker 20: playing in a band at the time, and I saw
Speaker 20: your post on Facebook, I believe, saying, oh looking for
Speaker 20: a bass player, and I'm like, oh, well, dude, hit
Speaker 20: me up, I'll play. You know, I love playing so yeah,
Speaker 20: and it's been love ever since. I love playing with
Speaker 20: these guys.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 20: I feel like they've made me a better musician for sure. Okay,
Speaker 20: that's also one thing I love with playing with them.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 20: And yeah, I've known I've known Wes near like my
Speaker 20: whole life. Yeah, and I met Jim through Wes, through
Speaker 20: this band, and it's just been a really tight group since.
Speaker 18: Okay, okay, Yeah, we're all very close friends, which helps
Speaker 18: just relaxed.
Speaker 2: There's never tension. Yeah, we just get along so well,
Speaker 2: come up to.
Speaker 18: You know, agree things so easily.
Speaker 2: Yeah. No, that's a no ca. Yeah, Uh we should
Speaker 2: play because this also came up in the conversation uh
Speaker 2: with uh was it with uh Cisco? Yeah? Or was
Speaker 2: it with my cruising for ZAO And you mentioned Zaza
Speaker 2: Wes you said, I think's an important part.
Speaker 18: Of your Oh definitely. Yeah. So, and it's funny this
Speaker 18: this song actually has a little bit of a backstory,
Speaker 18: but I lived in Boston for a while in my
Speaker 18: early to mid twenties, and a lot of my friends
Speaker 18: that lived there. I don't know if they coined this
Speaker 18: term or where it came from, but they would always
Speaker 18: talk about pizza as za, okay, which I always thought
Speaker 18: sounded ridiculous, but I've always thought about it, So I
Speaker 18: kind of just started adopting that term aged because I
Speaker 18: thought it sounded ridiculous, yeah, calling pizza za, but that
Speaker 18: I grew to really like it. Yeah, And this song
Speaker 18: is also about when I played in a punk band
Speaker 18: when I was in high school. Uh, we just would
Speaker 18: basically eat nothing but pizza, and it was always a
Speaker 18: fun time. You know, think of like grabbing some pizza,
Speaker 18: going to punk shows, washing in the pit a little bit.
Speaker 18: So Yeah, I feel like there's a lot of good
Speaker 18: memories tied to pizza, and this was kind of just
Speaker 18: a song about that.
Speaker 2: Pizza is my favorite food.
Speaker 18: Oh I agree. Yeah, we knew we liked you for
Speaker 18: a reason. Yeah, Cat, I like all the same stuff, all.
Speaker 2: The good things. Yeah, that's right. Some of it. I'm
Speaker 2: trying not to eat the you know, the meat lovers
Speaker 2: is probably too much at some point. All that I know,
Speaker 2: all that pepperoni, though, I'm trying to not eat pepperoni anymore.
Speaker 2: It's processed and it's bad for you.
Speaker 18: Oh my god. Before we played this song, we should
Speaker 18: each member of the band should share their favorite type
Speaker 18: of pizza. Oh there you go, Chris, what's your favorite
Speaker 18: type of pizza? Beach pizza?
Speaker 2: Yeah, I like beach pizza. Some people don't get it,
Speaker 2: but I like it.
Speaker 23: For me.
Speaker 18: I would honestly just say, like a New York style
Speaker 18: plain cheese or pepperoni is what I'm rocking.
Speaker 19: I was gonna say an schovies, but you know that
Speaker 19: brings back memories, probably like a veggie, you know, Mediterranean style,
Speaker 19: and you know, pineapple pizza is pretty good.
Speaker 2: Don't do that to me. Look, I'm not a religious person,
Speaker 2: but I do feel that. I do feel that pineapple
Speaker 2: on pizza is a sin against making it worse. Oh god,
Speaker 2: Oh my god.
Speaker 18: So funny. That is the ultimate debate.
Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it really is. I shouldn't be, it
Speaker 2: shouldn't be.
Speaker 18: All right, let's play this.
Speaker 2: This is cruising for Za and this is serbo cats.
Speaker 4: We were teenage boys getting teenage kids. Getty is drunk.
Speaker 7: We were getting when.

Speaker 2: us in studio. And for those of you who are,
Speaker 2: if you're an audio only listener, I do suggest you
Speaker 2: check out the video because apparently Jim Hurley is a
Speaker 2: shape shifter. He is transformed into a cat. And uh,
Speaker 2: you know, I hope we're not supposed to pat you
Speaker 2: because that's gonna get a little weird. But but my goodness,
Speaker 2: my goodness, do you uh are are you still able?
Speaker 2: To speak as you're a cat or are you just
Speaker 2: me ow?
Speaker 12: Or wow?
Speaker 15: Yeah?
Speaker 2: Very good, very good. This is uh freaking me out
Speaker 2: a little bit, but it's cool, it's cool. I don't know.
Speaker 2: I don't think we're allowed to have animals in here,
Speaker 2: but this might be. You know, we can make an exception,
Speaker 2: I'm sure, but very impressive. Yes, yes, you transform into
Speaker 2: a cat when you're on stage, but I can imagine.
Speaker 2: I can imagine. Well, very good, very good. I I appreciate. Uh,
Speaker 2: I appreciate this. We don't have a litter box or
Speaker 2: anything set up, so I hope you can hoping and
