Speaker 1: Jenny is here at the news table, present and account
Speaker 1: of for do we want to talk about this morning?
Speaker 1: What's that? Do we want to talk about this morning?
Speaker 1: What about it when you came out dressed? Oh yeah,
Speaker 1: we both. We both wore our awaiting Abigail shirts with
Speaker 1: no planning. So I I worked south the room and
Speaker 1: I'm just like, oh, no way, yeah, it'd be it'd
Speaker 1: be one thing if they were on the show today
Speaker 1: that that would be an exception, but they're not. Yes, yeah,
Speaker 1: So I went back. I put on my troll shirt.
Speaker 1: Another great recent guest. But yeah, we love, Yes, we do, Yes,
Speaker 1: we did. Absolutely. I just thought that was really fun.
Speaker 1: That was that was yes, I know, what are the odds?
Speaker 1: I know, love the new theme song? What's that? Oh yeah, yeah,
Speaker 1: absolutely absolutely. So we've got a we've got a busy
Speaker 1: show ahead of us, and we have some great guests
Speaker 1: in studio. Let me get those mics on. And one
Speaker 1: of these gentlemen has been on the show before, Jake Young.
Speaker 1: Well you go buy Jake or.
Speaker 12: Jacob usually depends on the context. Yeah, right now, I'm Jake.
Speaker 1: Right now, you're Jake. Okay, good, good, let's remember and
Speaker 1: uh you sir. Let's let's go around and have the
Speaker 1: uninitiated introduced themselves of course. Oh and by the way,
Speaker 1: the band is parietal I which I did learn how
Speaker 1: to say. I'm saying it correctly, right, Oh, yeah, pull
Speaker 1: that pull that mic up, my friend.
Speaker 12: That's pretty good.
Speaker 13: Nice pronunciation. Hi, I'm Dan Lugi. I'm the drummer.
Speaker 1: I write some of the songs and okay, yeah, excellent,
Speaker 1: Welcome Dan, Thank you. And who do we have over here?
Speaker 14: I'm Tim?
Speaker 1: You're Tim?
Speaker 14: Is that coming through?
Speaker 2: Yeah?
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I can sweet.
Speaker 14: Yes, I am Tim. That is me guitar.
Speaker 1: Very good. But you guys actually, uh, you switch around, right,
Speaker 1: You switch instruments at at some point during your live set,
Speaker 1: which I know, which I know you're gonna do today.
Speaker 1: So for those who are watching the video feed, because
Speaker 1: people might be confused and they might think that they've
Speaker 1: accidentally ingested something on a Saturday morning when all of
Speaker 1: a sudden everyone's doing something different. But but you guys
Speaker 1: are because you're gonna play a couple of live songs
Speaker 1: for us today, which we're very excited about. But but
Speaker 1: you actually switch instruments, which I think is cool. But
Speaker 1: I think should we start, maybe we should play one
Speaker 1: of the studio tracks, and then because you got a
Speaker 1: couple of brand new studio tracks, right, and then when
Speaker 1: we come back from that, we'll we'll hear one of
Speaker 1: the one of the live ones. How does that sound?
Speaker 12: That sounds awesome?
Speaker 1: And by the way, and by the way, the studio
Speaker 1: tracks that we're playing today, because you sound a couple
Speaker 1: of them that are they're brand new?
Speaker 15: Right?
Speaker 1: These have not been heard, not been heard on the radio.
Speaker 1: Are they available for streaming yet?
Speaker 3: Or no?
Speaker 12: They probably won't be while not in your.
Speaker 1: Right right, they're already playing in the UK probably right?
Speaker 1: Which one? Which one should we play first? Well, we'll
Speaker 1: get them both in at some point. Should we start
Speaker 1: with breathe?
Speaker 12: Oh?
Speaker 13: Yeah, okay, just finished mixing it?
Speaker 12: Well really Mike.
Speaker 13: Clark who was on last week?
Speaker 7: Oh, very good.
Speaker 12: Yeah, Clark Creative Studios in Amherst, New Hampshire.
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right. Yeah. If you missed last week's show,
Speaker 1: go back and check it out. Mike Clark was here
Speaker 1: along with mister Murphy from the course, the Murphy Clark Band.
Speaker 1: And you know it's funny. Yeah, small world or small
Speaker 1: scene I guess because as we were as those guys
Speaker 1: were leaving last week, so we had Aaron Billdeoh. I
Speaker 1: don't know if you has no Aaron fantastic bass player,
Speaker 1: but he was coming in and he says to Mike,
Speaker 1: he goes, hey, a band I was in called Changeup Season.
Speaker 1: We recorded with you twenty years ago and Mike, Mike
Speaker 1: didn't remember that because obviously he's recorded probably thousands of
Speaker 1: different artists. But but yeah, that was kind of funny.
Speaker 1: But yeah, let's play this and I'm going to give
Speaker 1: it the world radio premiere treatment because this has not
Speaker 1: been heard anywhere. So this is brand new from Parietal
Speaker 1: I and this is called Breathe.
Speaker 7: You are listening to till Um and h.
Speaker 4: World premiere.
Speaker 7: M in the middle of the.
Speaker 16: Love seeing nothing said, we're nothing to lose, nothing to fall.
Speaker 16: We're making the mount through that in the night, not
Speaker 16: where the mout comes as see.
Speaker 7: Yo, see your.
Speaker 17: Life now finally found the sound.
Speaker 7: It's I don't know.
Speaker 16: We're gonna search the land, running through the brush, shot
Speaker 16: out of the.
Speaker 18: Trees, all of you kill me with all the things.
Speaker 18: You don't shut down and no shot try to in
Speaker 18: the bastrooms, passing baby down.
Speaker 7: He takes my saint bam age on bad place, the
Speaker 7: speak of that mister breakers going out the.
Speaker 19: Stays to get my father, got fuddle just over to me,
Speaker 19: shut round, bah no, no.
Speaker 7: It's the bay these people do so.
Speaker 20: Wait waiting back home wait, just say said take down people,
Speaker 20: because you see it's down.
Speaker 18: Say you down, miss myda. Take sure keeps me about nine.
Speaker 7: The biggest seen too. Not to stop go to the girls,
Speaker 7: but just raptle. He's about the fire instead of me.
Speaker 7: You know the tree even forty sea. Oh no, not
Speaker 7: the desire for the king that I never been docking
Speaker 7: not cher cher.
Speaker 21: A.
Speaker 7: She I can't bred rock, I can't break lock it
Speaker 7: now does this place go forever?
Speaker 20: But at this place going around I can't do with
Speaker 20: the big boy makes people.
Speaker 10: The same.
Speaker 1: Oh that is just epic. That is so good. Great job, guys,
Speaker 1: Thank you is here with us in studio. We got
Speaker 1: Dan h Tim and of course Jake who's been here
Speaker 1: before with cham the Young's.
Speaker 21: Yeah.
Speaker 1: And then we were talking, of course after that about
Speaker 1: parietal eye. So what does that mean? What does parietal mean?
Speaker 1: For those who don't know, which is probably everybody, because
Speaker 1: I'd never heard that word in my life, and I
Speaker 1: have a pretty good vocabulary, but I had no idea.
Speaker 14: Yeah, So lizards, famously they have this like third eye
Speaker 14: kind of thing. It's called a parietal eye. You have
Speaker 14: a lobe in your brain, the parietal lobe.
Speaker 13: We all got it.
Speaker 14: We all have a lizard brain on some level. But
Speaker 14: that's what we're alluding to.
Speaker 3: You know.
Speaker 14: It's sort of like a like a third eye, but
Speaker 14: like less mystical because we are men of science and
Speaker 14: there's three of us.
Speaker 12: Third eye, it's all, there's so many connections.
Speaker 1: Yes, yes, well that makes sense.
Speaker 13: And we chose the band name a long time ago.
Speaker 12: Yeah. I found it in like a high school textbook.
Speaker 1: Kid.
Speaker 12: Yeah, I was like, that's a cool name.
Speaker 13: We kept trading back and forth on band names really
Speaker 13: so long.
Speaker 1: And do you remember any of the I love rejected
Speaker 1: band names? Do you guys remember any of the ones?
Speaker 1: Yeah you thought?
Speaker 10: Really?
Speaker 12: Yeah, guys, I don't the splurge.
Speaker 14: The splurg Yeah, oh boy, yeah, I think we're gonna
Speaker 14: stop it there.
Speaker 1: Mandolin Hogy though, I don't know how you passed on
Speaker 1: that one. Wow.
Speaker 12: That well that's our alter ego.
Speaker 1: Oh really yeah?
Speaker 7: Yeah yeah.
Speaker 12: When I have the mandolin on, it's Mandolin Hogy.
Speaker 1: Oh all right.
Speaker 13: Well we were avalon Blue for a short time, regrettably.
Speaker 14: So also, Dan and I together we are the lesser
Speaker 14: of two seagulls.
Speaker 1: Okay, okay, yeah, very nice, very nice. Well, you guys
Speaker 1: so you're all set up. You you want to play
Speaker 1: something live for us?
Speaker 12: Yes, because of Lizard.
Speaker 1: Saying, so if you are just joining us parade alas
Speaker 1: here with us alive in studio, they're gonna play something
Speaker 1: live and then after that we're gonna hear another another
Speaker 1: brand new single that they sent to us. But uh yeah,

Speaker 1: on me, a fella in river.
Speaker 7: I'm away with the Lizard.
Speaker 9: Wizard speed Bo, Lizard Rangers, Wizards been Ba Lizard Rangers
Speaker 9: Wizard speed Ba, Lizard Rangers Wizards been Ba.
Speaker 15: A new emp science has begun on lizard insurrection against
Speaker 15: the wizard direction. It hurts the econ of me when
Speaker 15: the lizards on top of.
Speaker 22: Me love with the polities. We're all lizards, all sticks.

Speaker 15: Modern before a stage is the longer revactive?
Speaker 23: Fell in love with the list. Somewhere out in this forest,
Speaker 23: can you please help me? Mister I'm all alone in
Speaker 23: this pony.
Speaker 7: Swim away with the list. Now I'm lost in this forest?
Speaker 7: Can you please help me, mister lost in the fall.
Speaker 1: That was awesome? So going on my playlist, my new
Speaker 1: favorite band I think.
Speaker 7: Now I'm like, I wish they were playing more live.
Speaker 1: I know that's fair. That was awesome. It is seriously
Speaker 1: going on my playlist. Well, they are going to do
Speaker 1: another one live, but we're gonna give him a chance
Speaker 1: to switch things around, so we'll go another studio track.
Speaker 1: Gospel of the Platypus was this also recorded with Mike.
Speaker 12: Mike k Yeah, excellent, excellent and in my bedroom, oh

Speaker 1: I love it. That is Gospel of the Platypus. The
Speaker 1: band is Pride a Lie and they are here with
Speaker 1: us alive in studio, and uh, you know, you guys
Speaker 1: really explore that that loud, soft dynamic, but in unconventional ways,
Speaker 1: you know, because obviously from a songwriting standpoint, this standard
Speaker 1: is you know, soft chorus, loud, I mean soft verse,
Speaker 1: loud chorus and so forth. But you guys are kind
Speaker 1: of unpredictable with it. But but I love it. I
Speaker 1: love it. Sounds really good. I just realized I didn't
Speaker 1: put your mics on there you go.
Speaker 12: Thank you so much.

Speaker 1: I think that's I'm just kind of playing with these level.
Speaker 1: We got that stereo mic there, so I'm kind of
Speaker 1: playing with these levels a little bit and stroum that
Speaker 1: guitar a little bit, if you would please. Yeah, the
Speaker 1: perils of live radio. That's all right, though, that's that's
Speaker 1: part of the fun. That's the adventure of it all.
Speaker 12: Kim will never let you get get past it.
Speaker 1: All right, nice, Actually turn that up a little bit here, Okay,

Speaker 1: sound so good and and I don't usually interrupt a
Speaker 1: performance like that. I apologize, but I just I realized,
Speaker 1: I was like, we gotta we gotta fix this, so again,
Speaker 1: live radio, let's you venture of it. But yeah, that'll
Speaker 1: that'll probably work really well. That should work good. Actually,
Speaker 1: just go and strum and sing a little bit. Let's
Speaker 1: just see how that sounds. Enough, let's sing sing a
Speaker 1: little too while you're playing. Can you move that mic
Speaker 1: back a little, just a little bit closer to know

Speaker 12: New Hampshire, near the Oval. Near the Oval, we were trying,
Speaker 12: you know, we were trying to get our our fixings
Speaker 12: in the middle of band practice, and this guy pulls
Speaker 12: up in a purple gtr and he's got this cool
Speaker 12: like leather biker jacket type thing. He's got these shades
Speaker 12: and he like walks up behind us. You skipped the
Speaker 12: part where he almost hit him. Oh sorry, and it's
Speaker 12: the line he almost hit him with his purple gt
Speaker 12: It's been a while since I've told the story. Yeah,
Speaker 12: he almost hits him with his purple gtr line in
Speaker 12: the song and uh and then like leaves his car running,
Speaker 12: gets out of the car. He like pulls this, pulls
Speaker 12: the shades down, looks at us, say kids, stay in school,
Speaker 12: stay frosty, something like that, and then walks in. He's
Speaker 12: like cigarettes or something.
Speaker 14: The car is still running.
Speaker 12: The car is still running, so we hop in, We
Speaker 12: get in the car, we drop No I'm kidding, but yeah,
Speaker 12: so that's straddle flat. And then Rusty James is a
Speaker 12: really cool guy.
Speaker 14: We got accosted in a bar by this man. He
Speaker 14: had very smelly breath, smelling for many substances, mostly alcohol,
Speaker 14: but not just alcohol. And there there was you know,
Speaker 14: it's just one of those guys just doesn't stop talking
Speaker 14: to you. You know, he's lonely, but it's like we
Speaker 14: don't care. He pulls you in and there's no way out.
Speaker 12: There's no way out.
Speaker 1: There's no way.
Speaker 12: Yeah, that's all.
Speaker 1: It's okay, all right, pretty good. Yeah, I love this
Speaker 1: song so much, so I was like I gotta play
