Field Dispatch
Matt Connarton Unleashed 6-8-23
Game Plan
Hello, everybody, Welcome, here we go. It is that time again,
Matt Connerton unleashed and we are live from the studios of w m n
H ninety five point three FM in glorious downtown Manchester, New Hampshire. Also
on Comcast ninety seven if you're in Manchester, and hello to all of our
online listeners across nation and around the globe. You can go to my website
Matt Connerton dot com for all of your live streaming options, social media links,
contact info, show archives, etc. Etc. Today is Thursday,
June eighth, two thousand and twenty three, so nice to have you all
with me. It's funny, you know, the h The air quality is
much better today here in New Hampshire. Of course, there are other places
where it's actually worse, like New York City, Philadelphia, Washington, DC
apparently. But the irony of this is, so I am, I am
asthmatic, and so I am designated as being particularly vulnerable to you know,
bad air quality. And it's ironic that as I sit here in this moment,
so we have a day today where air quality here in New Hampshire is
rated good. So we're back to good. And yet for the for the
first time since it started. I suddenly find myself wheezing. So must be
from yesterday, because today the air quality is good, but I must have
been hailed some bad stuff out yesterday. So if you will excuse me for
a brief moment, I'm going to take a puff of mine hailer here man.
Hope that that helps and I don't spend the entire show wheezing into the
microphone. Yes strange, I didn't need it at all yesterday, and yesterday
was when the air was really bad here. But I guess maybe it's catching
up with me. I don't know. I do carry a rescue and hailer,
of course, for moments like this. I heard one, Oh boy,
I heard I heard one medical professional on cable news suggesting that people people
with asthma actually go ahead and before they even go outside, use their rescue
and hailer just as a precaution. But I don't know. I oh,
but he said, check with your doctor before you do that, And it's
like, well, why not? Just you know, I don't know.
I'm not gonna check with my doctor every time I need a puff mine hailer.
That seems a little strange, But anyway, but here in New Hampshire
it is good. The air quality is once again rated good. But of
course for our online listeners and other parts of the country, that does not
necessarily mean the same for you. So I hope everybody as this problem does
persist throughout much of the country, much of the United States, I think
something like I think seventy million Americans was the last number that I heard are
dealing with this problem at the moment. So wherever you are, I hope
you're taking precautions. I hope you're not going outside and running around and you
know, doing things that are going to put you at risk. As we
discussed on the show yesterday, you know, it's not only a matter of
you know, you don't want to get it into your lungs, but you
don't want something even more severe to happen where you end up inhaling something in
the smug and it ends up getting into your bloodstream. That's really bad and
that can lead to some very severe health complications. So let's all be safe.
You know, if you are in an area that's still experiencing poor air
quality, where a mask outside preferably an N ninety five, the particulates if
I'm using the correct term of this are very small, so they can get
into pretty easily if you're not wearing a good mask. So anyway, that's
my little public service announcement on that. But I just found it odd that
you know here it is the air quality has improved so much in New Hampshire,
and here I am suddenly going I can't breathe. I wasn't that bad.
I wasn't that I couldn't breathe. I just would, like I said,
I was wheezing a little bit. I was getting a little wheezy.
And that's first of all, it's not good radio. You don't want to
hear me wheezing into the microphone while I talk. But other than that,
I also don't want to be sitting here and not feeling like I can breathe
correctly. But we do have an exciting show for you. So I think
in a few minutes we're going to be joined by our friend easyg Eric Gagnon
for his entertainment report. But coming up at five pm today members of the
band. I don't know if it's the whole band coming in or not.
I know that our friend Fredo or I like to say his full name Alfredo
Enrique Benavitis. I know that they're gonna be here. Dank Sinatra will be
here. They've got a brand new album, and today, right here on
Matt Connerton Unleashed on WMH ninety five point three FM, will be the world
radio premiere of new music from Dank Sinatra. We're gonna talk, but we're
also gonna play some songs from the new album. I've listened to most of
it. I will confess I didn't get a chance, you know, because
they didn't want this leaking out early, so I just I received it either
it was either late yesterday or early today. The time it all blurs together
and I listened to it and it's really really good. I was already a
fan, but the new album is really really good. So those guys are
gonna be here in the second hour. Like I said, we're gonna talk,
They're gonna intro some of the songs, tell us about them, and
it's gonna be It's gonna be a great time. Also, quick programming note
too. Tomorrow, our friend Shane Balen is going to be calling in in
the second hour tomorrow and he's got a brand new single and he also is
going to do a world radio premiere right here on Matt Connerton Unleashed. So
lots of exciting things happening. Uh. Speaking of exciting, I believe our
friend EASYG is on the line. Hello, Helloa, Hey, do I
dare say that Katy Dalman's song Season's Changed might be a world premiere on the
radio. It might be. I mean, I know it's been on the
YouTube in her Earth channel. Is that the uh? I forget now?
Is that the song you had requested for today? Yeah, Seasons Changed?
I heard yesterday on YouTube. Wow, it's pretty good. Why wouldn't it
be? You know, why wouldn't it be? Yeah? Anyways, Yeah,
I don't know why, but I was thinking Scumpy today. Remember that
guy Scumpy? Um, yeah, of course, Jeff Scumpy Lorenz. Yeah
he didn't make exactly leave on the best things. But hey, the funny
vis I remember one time used to do a game on Wednesdays and yeah,
I kind of get into it. Yeah, I talk about I talk about
negative stuff on the radio. By I don't know why I was thinking of
Scumpy tay. Oh, yeah, we can bring on one topic. Number
When he brought Michael Detective Mike to the Dark Side, I do remember that
he tried to corrupt our friend, Texas Mike. It was very that was
funny. It was bug into another story by saying why bother. It was
both concerning and disconcerting. Yeah, he was asked to leave. He was
asked to leave. Yes, at the Davion, I believe. I think
that's how you pronounce it. Apparently, yes, def con Scumpy's band was
playing there, and uh, Texas Mike, apparently he was supposed to be
a member of the club to enjoy the festivities, and Scumpy told him to
just lie and say he was a member or something like that. And it
was a terrible, terrible scandal. And then the next time I was and
that was the beginning of turning Texas Mike to the dark side. I think
the next time I saw him, he was wearing a black leather jacket and
smoking a cigarette. I couldn't believe it. I said, Oh, we've
lost him. I never last I heard the band that kind of dissolved deaf
Gun last time I knew, I know, I saw, I started the
six six, I sawed the bar down stairs, down the road of you
folks a little bit, and I started Scumpy there for a couple of songs,
but it really wasn't my kind of a cup of tea? Right,
not your kind of cup of tea, or you could just say not your
cup of tea is I think it is the actual expression, right, Wait,
really my favorite? Fortunately, I didn't want to hear him once,
and I did hear three songs. Would you kind of left? Would you
say it was your least favorite? No, this is not my not my
favorite at all. I'll not listening, but he is. I told him
that. He said, Oh, it's okay, guy, I appreciate you
coming in listening. Yeah, he uh, he is listening. He just
texted me and he said he is devastated. Uh, he said, even
you and Jenny One, didn't you go see or heard a couple of songs
from him? Yes? We did. Oh yes, yes, up and
conquered the White Mountains, way up, way up and conquered. Yes.
He texted me he's devastated. He's very sad, he said, it's uh,
it troubles him that someone that he looks up to so much does not
enjoy his art. He's very upset. Yeah, would you like to listen?
Would you like to apologize to him? Yeah, I'm sorry. I
guess you guess what kind of apology is that? Sir? Yeah, I'm
sorry. That's a little better. How about I'm sorry Scumpy for hurting you.
I'm sorry Scumpy for hurting you. It's weird sometimes a name can come
out of come out you're thinking, you know, you think about somebody,
and he's like, wow, I remember that. I ever thought of that
guy in a long time. Uh oh. Tony Petrello in the chat room
says, if a band is playing at the Davion, you don't have to
be a member to go see them, but you do have to sign in.
Uh mmmmmmm. The plot Thick will sign him in Scumpy or Mike or
I don't know. That's the thing. It it's the whole thing just went
awry. Yeah, scandalous. What was the Katy Dobbins song you wanted?
Oh? I I private? Yeah, I sent to you with your your
your Facebook private message. There about the h I sent it in that video?
Yeah? What song was this? Uh? I can't remember? Seasons
Change? Seasons Change? All right, thank you? I think it's in
there your private message box book. All right, Well, well we'll play
that. I'm finding it out. We'll play that at the end of your
segment. Yes, yeah, no swear so yeah, good because I know
she has a of a potty mouth. No not Katie, No, not
Katie. I was just kidding. Oh, by the way too, I've
cut down my report, so just a few minutes. You know most people
they ever short, right, Yeah, it's only gonna be a few minutes,
so before you know, they before it will be over. Hey,
I found a song called when the Seasons Change by Katie Dobbins when Seasons Change.
This is weird. There's one called when thus Seasons Change, and there's
one called when Seasons Change. But the one that's when Seasons Change just became
available yesterday, so it must be that one. Yeah, it's I send
you the video of it on your Facebook measures thing. Yeah yeah, yeah,
yeah, thank you. That's the one I think when seasons changed.
When seasons change, yep, but stuff. Everybody will be out there in
a few minutes. Yeah, yeah, great. Or are you ready to
do your entertainment report? Sir? Yeah, many one? Okay, let
me queue you up here. I guess thirty four. You know it'd be
all over once thought, I'm around the way easy. You want to know
about stock market crashes, COVID nineteen, drive buys, celebrity gossip. Easy,
he's got you entertainment reports stats. Wowess because think nothing but a jeep
bank baby back? Are you ready for stock let's find out? Ready,
let's go. Yeah, I'm still here. Are you still here? Yeah?
I didn't you hear anything? That's strange? That's right. Sometimes that
Caro Robrio is that problem? Oh? What's on your What do you have
for us? Easy? G I guess the music already played. I guess
I didn't here, right, Apparently you did not hear it? All right?
What this this go on? With the details? Oh? Yeah,
first thing I dedicated to Uh he just passed away yesterday the Iron Cheek,
the Iron Cheek guy was he passed the torch to Hulk Hogan. Well,
I don't know. Well, well, yeah, that's an odd way of
footing it. I think usually when passed, when you say passed the torch,
it means one top guy in the business passing the torch to the next.
But yeah, he was on the Iran guy to be a heavyweight champion.
And by the way, every for a while, and by the way,
the Iron Cheek was legit. He was not playing an Iranian. He
was Iranian. Oh yeah, yeah, and always go online. They always
have a somebody passed away. They always have the ten bells. So I
found it. I sent it to you like a thirty second video. Oh
of bells ringing. And they're not gonna do it ten bells for him on
Vara SmackDown. No, they usually only do the ten bells salute for active
competitors, shall we say, right, like Eddie Guerrero and heart yes and
all that fun stuff. Yes. On a more happy note, the Oza
dedic game to one of my favorite singers, h Debbie Gibson's You're gonna write
down the Street from your folks, And I can believe you can still get
tickets at the box hours, so you can get him online at Pelisa dot
org. Of course, remember that you gotta pay a couple of dollars shipping
and handling, But if you're going down to the ticket box right now,
you don't pay no shipping and handling overously. So I know there's not only
a few left in the orchestra, and is I think about eighty left in
the balconies. He's the place fits about a little eight hundreds, so it's
not too bad ones. Yeah, I heard. I heard Peter White talking
about that on the Morning Show. You can shake your love with Debbie Gibson
tonight I was killing time. I want to go on, but I I
thought though now easyg as our entertainment reporter, you can correct me if I
was mistaken about this. I thought she was at a certain point, not
recently, but a while ago. She was no longer Debbie Gibson, but
was going by Deborah Gibson. Is that no longer the case? Yeah?
I like to know her. I like to know her Debbie Gibson. So
you like to know her? It is Gibson, Yes, yes, Debrah
Gibson. Yes, right by. The show is right down the street from
you, folks at seven thirty. I think it's a two hour show according
to the Morning Show, and doors are six thirty. Oh. It takes
some pretty reasonable too. There are thirty nine dollars for the forty nine dollars
for the vole level, and thirty nine dollars to the balcony, So that's
not too bad for us. A good artist like her, is someone opening
for her? Does she have an opening act? I don't believe so,
No, no, cars like that doesn't need an opening act, right,
I mean she is Debrah Gibson after all. Yeah, I started years ago
in the eighties when she was Debbie Gibson. An right, pretty done good.
One of the favorite shows I've ever seen girls there. But so you
actually too old to see her, but I don't care. I went to
see her. So you actually went to see Debbie Gibson back in the eighties.
Oh yeah, A friend who came with me because I didn't know how
to get to the worst of Centrum. You know, he's really going with
directions. So I said, hey, I'll pay twenty dollars by the a
forty dollars second he said, all right, I'll go. He wasn't really
a big fan, but he right did a favorite for me. Right,
So you Centrum? Oh many times? Uh, not to see Debbie Gibson.
Yeah, I've not been there to see Debbie Gibson nor Debrah Gibson.
Was it? Uh? Was it just? Were you the only dudes there?
A lot of the couple dudes, but mostly screaming girls? Yeah?
Yeah, it was sold out. I wish he was like eighteen, right,
what was there big hit at the time? Do you remember was it
Shake your Love? And the one I like is only in your dreams,
only in your dreams? Yep, yeah, they they're ragging me sometimes.
There was your favorite show? I said, well, I looked back at
all my favorites. I think it had to be her. M hmm,
don't pick somebody right, all the shows you've been to, so your favorite
color. I just want I want to get you on record here. Your
favorite concert that you've ever been to in your life? You easy g eric
Agne, And your favorite concert was Debbie Gibson. Yeah, I believe it
or not. It was. So it's a great show. I believe you.
Yeah, And some people are ragging me in the morning show. Who
was somebody was ragging on you on the Morning show about that? I cannot
imagine it takes I dare say, Easy Gene would never say that. I
will not rag on you. I will pay you a compliment. And the
compliment I will pay you is this. It takes a confident, confident man
to publicly admit that his favorite concert of all time was Debbie Gibson at the
Whister Centrum. Yeah. True. They were talking about him all talking about
the girl all weeks that come on call six, six, three, two
to five. It would be great as you called in, but it didn't
happen. Oh no, we're deb I'm in great radio. Deborah, Deborah,
Deborah now, yes, I'm sorry. Please. She was on last
night somewhere. Yeah. Yeah, some money a tour, yes, making
some money. Debbie's uh making some cash? Yeah yeah, why not?
I felt, like I said I I was in town, I definitely would
have gone you definitely anyways, I'm not a town. What it is I
do appreciate. I just before you move on, I have to express my
appreciation for these sentence. I definitely might have gone. Well, I definitely
want it gone. Oh okay, you said definitely might have and I just
I thought that was fun. You told him you definitely might anyway. I
told him I'm renumber one fans to go. You are? Wow? You
are anyways? That was yours, yours before you. I mean the McCarthy
can't the town right right now? I mean I like the mischievous laugh.
So a man of a arthy has replaced Debbie Gibson in your heart, is
what you're saying. Oh yeah, no doubt. You only have eyes for
Amanda now. And of course, uh, Katie yeah, well and not
going to get into that. Oh, listen to that, listen to that
off the market. Oh definitely, I'm going a guy anyways, the uh
moving on to this, I don't get to check out your favorite place,
and I don't Peter's favorite place, Cream Landing, believe not, Darreld Dragon
Dione worked for that place years ago. That not my favorite place. To
be my favorite place, you have to have a public bathroom for that,
Darrel Dragon Dione works for Creeland, works for UM, work for the Nicole's
father. He to run the place. It's that was his boss. It's
possible that I did know that and uh simply failed to retain the information.
Yes, and of course you always say this place is good when it's ninety
degrees on nothing better than a Queen City cupcake so tasty. I often say
that here many times. Yes, when it's ninety degrees there's nothing quite like
a delicious cupcake. Yep. All right, moving on to some fun activities
here starting up pretty soon as I'm like three years away. You might have
heard that girl like Jasmine Man. I believe I staid our name right,
Jasmine Man. Yes, you're gonna be a free event. But I'm sure
she'll have a donation. Jackson might want to help her out. Run in
town here Dune fifteen from five thirty, A quick quick one, five thirty
and six thirty. A new place called Mom's Pop up Market on Thursday four
to seven is on three eighty Lincoln Street. So it's not fire from you
folks, right, And I guess it's gonna be a summer thing. It's
starting, starts at five, starts at twenty fifth. I'm suspecting it.
It's gonna go probably the end of August, I guess. And now we'll
wrap it up. Now, let me ask the new toy doing. Let
me ask you this easyg Do you have any dates in your entertainment report for
a band called Dank Sinatra? Frank Sinatra, Dank Sinatra? No, I
never heard of them. You've never heard of Dank Sinatra's laughing in the background.
But that's okay. Oh no, no, no, there's nobody here.
Just keep going. Hey, I got a cool quick question. How
did um um? What's his face? The Dank Sinatra DJ recos? How
are they doing a little tour down down? Uh? Yeah, a little
tour? How'd that go down in Nashville. How did that go? I
went very well, excellent. You guys ever play in Nashville? Dank sinatras
here by the way, Now Dank Sinatra has all they are. Yes,
I was waiting for you to figure it out. Hello, cool big fan,
easy Yeah? See, Fredo's a big fan. Are you a big
fan too? I'm not here regularly, right, I know Easy G would
be a bigger fan if I was a lady holding a guitar. Hi,
hi, mat Hi. I do like those ladies with guitars. Yeah.
Yeah, If I was a lady holding the guitar, Easy G would like
next Thursday. In his defense, in his defense, we do. We
do get confused with Frank Sinatra all the time. Oh yeah, right,
right? Is that who you thought it was? Easy was Frank Sinatra?
I didn't think so. The guys there dead for a long time. They're
bringing him back. They got the hologram. Oh, yes, you're there.
You got the ai Frank Sinatra. That's right? Did it first?
Anyways, you're gonna laugh about this one. The same lady is going to
play a six June twenty fourth, I sent the colock called the Grandest State
of Mind Grant and two fifty Pembroke three, the Pembroke City limits. You
might have heard that place, Yes we have, Yes, we do know
that place. Yes we have been there. Have you been there? Have
you been there yet? Matt, I've been there, and so as Dank
Sinatra. Do you know these guys, Dank Sinatra? Are you from cool?
This is called a June preun event June and everyone's gonna take a ride
on Rob Zevedo's golf cart. Yeah, Robert Leto. They always call him
the coolest cat in town. He you know what, big dude, A
big fan of that man. He's uh, he's he's such a cool cat
man. He supports he supports music at all. He supports music all around
southern New Hampshire, New Hampshire, New England. And you know he's a
poet. He's a family man. And you know what, I love partying
with the guy. I love having a drink and just just shooting shooting,
you know what with Rob Azevedo, he's a cool, good dude man.
His kids are wonderful, his family, his wife, wonderful people. We
went over there and yeah, all call him the coolest cat in town.
He's a cool dude, man, absolutely, I know what once he does
to this show, who's gonna be there? You know who's going to record
in the radio walk on twelve fifty h twelve fifty wh m you say it
again? I interrupted, because they do a show and then it's on the
following week on radio. You've you've been here for you've been here for his
entertainment. I've called in, but but you haven't. I know, I
have a couple you have, Okay, important? I couldn't. I couldn't
remember. I can never remember. Who's experienced. He's got a few people
that he follows. He's got you know, he's he's got a few people
that he follows, and and and he lets everyone know where these people are
playing. That's right. He does a great job. He's like the hippo
back like twenty five does. A man might have another gig, but it's
not official, so you can possibly talk about that next. You see what
another promoting my forty gig. So I'd say, hey, it's fun.
Whose who else is? Who else is out there? Who's Who's Who's Who's
gonna be at the at the Pembroke City Limits recording next? Oh yeah,
you should know that, easy, g you are the entertainment reporter, right,
it's cosmic blossom. That's that's that's gonna be that' who's gonna be at
pember City Limits next? Very good? Check those guys out easy when you
can. Always a lot of stuff going on, but I can't get into
all of it because they want to be a mini entertainment report. That's true,
right, Yeah, it's what we used to it Thember those days I
go on forever and ever and oh, we're here for you. We're here
for here for the fourth up to Kyle He and the uh in the Gang
on Sundays said and the gang, So I remember our old show viewers and
said, God, Eric, I was saying, is this right? The
tamer report over? Yet? Run our way too long? Oh really?
Oh well you kind of said it, you know in the areas that Eric
is that, Yeah, we're drying too long, you know, talk about
sports and wrestling. You didn't really say it, but I could tell.
You know, you read between the lines, dropped it up, that's right.
Yeah. Yeah, Well, you know they say brevity is the soul
of wit. I like it. You know, your body might say that,
Eric, He said a little bit of Eric goes a long way boy,
that's true. I mean, anyways, I might have heard this girl
I'm in McCarthy's walking, Oh yeah, for sure on a new album,
and uh it's going to be coming out in Tennessee, isn't She isn't in
Tennessee with with her husband Tom. Yes. I tried to get Yeah yeah,
I tried to get DJ Reckless to uh connect with U with them.
I was down there one time. I think I was jamming. I don't
know how, but I ended up jamming with Tom, a man, his
husband. Yeah yeah, and we're we're jamming on It was like we did
the slip knot into fire on the Mountain, you know, into Flank Franklin's
Tower in the like the whole grateful He's a grateful dead guy. Yeah yeah,
and uh as am I. Yeah, it's not a closet thing.
But I mean I don't I don't wear the I don't wear the tide died.
But I'm a big grateful dead guy. Yeah yeah, and uh you
know what that dude is so good? Yeah if you met Tommy Amanda,
oh yeah yeah, yeah, we all know for sure. Everybody knows her
man, come on, Yeah, but yeah, she's the best. Easy
EASYG likes to take take credit for all of her success. He's like the
George market, come credit. I don't know about all of it, but
she's someone who does all the work. He's the Tommy Iovine of the New
New England sectory pretty much. Yeah, yeah, there you go. I
mean you know, before before Easy G, who had even heard of her?
Real it's not easy being geezy, it's all I gotta say. That's
right, that's right. Would you agree with that? Easy before? Yeah?
Yeah, you would know rtter I eleven years ago. Now she's like
with this yesterday. Who's got your information? Easy G? Yeah, that's
right, who's got the local? Anyway, it's going on, going on
to another lay. I don't know if you met this lad. He's fairly
good. Katy Dalmins. Have you met Katy Dalmins? Yeah? No,
No I haven't. I just wanted to, yes, but somebody someday you
shouldn't. Anyway, you've got some brand new music as available I now we're

all the platforms, and she's got tells yeah on the gun line.
So I had to find a radio at it because she's got a bit of
a body mouth, does she No, I'm just kidding anyway, She's got
a show coming up right today, believe it or not, right today,
right in Pearl Vision in Jazz Trio twenty five. Also the tickets and the
fellow playing pan Michael aren't knew what I believe it is his shows in Meredith.
Oh my god, I love Meredith. I just realized something. So
you guys probably aful part of it, you guys have you guys probably didn't
hear it? Easy talking about Deborah Gibson is playing tonight kid Debbie. Well,
now she's Debora's lady. Now she's been Debora for a while. I
must one of number one fans he's playing at the soon a few minutes seven
thirty. EASYG shared with us earlier that his favorite show ever, his favorite
concert, was Debbie Gibson. And see that, you know, I can
picture Easy G back in just I can picture him in his room like with
his like with his legs up as he's like reading Tiger Beat, you know,
and he's just like flipping through. It's like, oh, who's that
is that? Leef ericson it's Oh, it's Debbie Gibson right right, And
he just said he has like a big he has like a little collage of
Debbie Gibson on the wall. A lot of screaming girls, remember a dude,
you know what, when when I think screaming girls, there's two there's
two people. I think of the Beatles. Who screams? What screaming girls
screaming harder than for the Beatles. Oh, remember that the Beatlemania thing.
And then Michael Jackson. Dude, I had a remember a VHS of Moonwalker.
Yeah, and there were people like passing out in the crowd, like
like Michael Jackson does the Moonwalk, and all of a sudden people have to
be like carded off. Yeah, like because they're they're they're like, you
know, I think of like crazy and that's and that's how it is at
a dank Sinatra show. So if you want to come to me, if
you want to see that show up there, you got dank show that's going
to be on the seventeenth at Area twenty right on at Area twenty three,
you know, Area twenty three. Easy up there and conquered Kirk mc meals,
please I don't think so. No, Oh my goodness, you've never
been there. Easy, g get out of here, get out of town.
You get out of New here in a lot of places out. Let
me tell you what you got to step on through? You ever met April
Coachman? Have you met that nice little flood? Pray tell do pray tell
no, no, please tell us. Well, she's got a lot of
things on the agency. Another lady has got more music coming in the future,
and one of her new songs is called Smoke. That's available on all
platform that. I don't know what. She says, more gigs to come
to in the future. Nice. I don't know how new that is.
Some point, that's a message I can get the right fairly new. Isn't
that new? I feel like we played that quite a while ago. That
sells tickets. I'm like ypring here and believe it or not. Another got
a coming into it. Where was her games? Train on nine chronicles?
She's going to be on Trane on nine chronicle. They're working on the broadcast.
Send that up showing on the television. April Cushman, Yeah, of
course. Years ago. Um Menda McCarthy was on Tom and a couple of
their friends or hers. You know, hey, easy g since since it's
prime in the hospital. There was two thousand and twenty and it was summer.
It was summertime and she was on the show for like five minutes.
One talked to her and it was great. Were we a frado? You
had a question summer to remember? You were gonna ask easy, uh?
What else is? Let's keep going? Well? You you you started asking
something about because since it's Pride month. But I was gonna say, you
know, since it's Pride month, do you have any uh? Do you
have any LGBTQ I A plus artists that you're gonna highlight in your your segment?
I think you're broken a hard time understanding bad connection or something. Okay,
you got anything you're doing for Pride Month? And your report? Any
LGBTQ plus? Oh no, no, no no. Like I said,
I'm kind of it short this time. Canna make it easier on me?
Well, it's funny. I feel like I feel like it's Pride month.
That's all I got to say. I feel like it's been going on for
a while. I mean I could have gotten to details about everything, but
that going on for hours, hours and nobody wants to hear that report goes
on for too long anyway, it that's why we're fair enough. That's why
we're here for you in Manchester on the patio on Monday, so you can
be there at June twenty six and July third, all the day's coming.
And then you got this new show at just announced. I going too that.
Who are we? Who are we talking about? The jelly roll backyard
Baptism tickets off coming soon? Easy seven o'clock show came up with a four
thirty indoors or at six and La King is going to be there, and
struggled jettings and obviously her and it's called on the Hazy Little Stage. But
who is her? I lost fun? Who are we talking about? Who
are you talking about? April questman? Okay, we're still on April.
Okay, I wasn't sure. Hey, you know what, I'll throw someone
out screaming the dirt. Heag is going to be at Memorial Park on June
seventeen. Very nice veterans park. Veters I'm screaming. I've don't screaming a
long time. Yeah, I just wanted to highlight that. Yeah, yeah,
very talented person, amazing And then I'll talk about two other shows because
the tickets of Rambo Forum, So why not? Why not opening up for
Joe Nichols. The doors are six and the shows at seven, and it's
going to be and oh, here we go. Oh Manson Mason, I
thought Manson was canceled. Marilyn Manson, I messed us up. Yeah,
I don't know, man, the last two events at down where they are.
We'll talk about that next week. I don't like the dot com Yeah,
any of the ranswer gas. There eleven shows that dude, I messed
us up. You did, Easy Ranch. People don't know where that is,
so I don't answer what it is anyways, that Zach Brown tribute band,
Trash Gross Alive and Andy Bross's I kind of kind mess up? Do
you think? Easy? Do you? Do you ever think a tribute band
was every where? It is? Next week? Easy you can hear me?
Hey, let me yeah, let me let me ask you something.
Do you ever think that a tribute band was ever good enough to have their
own tribute band? Like we're like like we're a Journey tribute band, tribute
band, you know, like oh like what like you know what I mean?
You know what I mean? Yeah, like pretty popular. Now well
yeah, like well what are you? What band are you? And we're
in that's the way you want it, that's the that's the Journey tribute band,
you know, tribute band. Tribute band to the tribute band. Like
we've had such a good time with the tri this is even the this is
attribute to the tribute impersonator at the Alisator. I saw a couple of times.
I tell you that guy sound that look dislike him? What do you
think about that? Man? Yeah, you know, it's one thing if
you want to do a cover, but it's another thing when dudes like dress
up and they start to act and try to behave and be the mannerisms of
something. I think it becomes a little theater. Now. Sometimes it's almost
it's a little whimsical sometimes after the cycle, like if it's like if it's
kiss for example, if it if it's kiss, you gotta do. There's
so many different kinds of Have you seen many kiss I have? Oh my
god, I mean I haven't seen them live. I was gonna say,
yeah, you saw them, Yeah, yeah, No I didn't actually see
them. Well I might not have. I might not have seen them.
I might have looked over them. I would, I would pay the sear.
I think if many kiss showed up, I want to hear strutter man.
Yeah, easy, g knows sorry. Alison personator twice at the Cannabilly
Park and the guy was really good, only like one minute show. But
the al In Parsons and Allen Parsons they do stuff at Cannyby Lake Park,
the Allen Parsons Project project. I'm not I believe who did Man McCarthy's a
lot of I can't believe Didst fans and she did. She did the Battle
of the bands there. I've seen that. Actually, first year. I
want to see a battle of the bands where the losers don't get to play
music for like a year, your band from music for a year. Let's
let's let's raise the stakes. Make it, yeah, make it count,
make it count. I agree, I agree, call it a battle for
you know that girls. Everywhere she has she's been, everywhere man's been except
for Area twenty three. Not there, man, Oh yeah, easy,
easy, you gotta check it out. They do all the work. You
gotta do that man, So man, I think I'll buy you none.
I think this became just an actual report, right right, this is still
happen and we're learning so much from it. Amazing. Yes, Easy's got
his finger time for the song. I want to give time for the other
artists to shine in your place. And do you remember do you remember that?
Do you remember the name of the other artists should have known by now?
All right? Easy, thank you? All right. So so we're
going to as as his request, we're going to play the new Katie Dobbins
single. Easy's going to have a tent at Wormtown. Just throwing that out
there. What is Wormtown? Easy would know he's the entertainment. It sounds
like something if I looked it up on Okay I heard light Oh, okay,
Wormtown? How do I not know about this? It sounds like something
you find on Urban Dictionary and then you go, oh, that's horrified.
It's not the town you're looking for. Whatever you do, don't google Wormtower,
Broke, don't google Blue Blue Waffle, and don't google worm down.
Well, EAZYG requested this, So we're gonna we'll finish the segment with when
seasons change, send it from Katie Dobbins, and then when we come back,
we've got Dank Sinatra in the house and they've got a whole bunch of
new music and we're really looking forward to hearing some of that and talking with
these guys. But here it is, this is when Seasons changed by the
great Katie Dobbins. That's the space could do so tough to family very more.
Understand understand. No no no no no no no no no no no
no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no
no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no
no. My wife as a space contain so tough s my friend so much.
Do you understand? Mister? It was so so. That is Space
Cadet that is brand new from these two fine gentlemen on the couch. Dank
Sinatra. Yeah, we got fradl fradlops. You know what I did?
I do that sometimes I created an amalgam in your mind of in my mind
of your names. So I combined Frado and excel and frax Fradel. So
there's there's a there's a third member of our band who is h in Massachusetts,
just far away, Nathan Nate. But it's not like it's not like
when the you know in Spanish, when they make the j the huh sounds
it's not yet. Yeah, that's pretty okay, Okay, is it is
it spelled p I E G A R. I think it's p A J
A R. Dude has a Facebook. He doesn't think, you know,
he's got he's got a big um. He's got like a he's got his
own um. He's got his own page where it's just bass players. Oh
really, it's called Heckle the Bassis. Okay, And it's just like all
these different bass players. No, no, no, the community. Like
a bass player, he is heckle the base that he is, but he
community, he is heckled the bassis because like that's what he does. But
he's in this uh it's called Base Upfront, which is a huge base community
that that you're talking about. That, Um he him, Nathan goes by
heckel heck of the basis has a whole story that he if he calls in
he could actually explain either which way could be him on the line, his
whole community probably. Um it's called Base up Base Upfront. That was a
nationwide if not international, uh thing, that is a as I said,
a big uh base community. Okay, so so this is the same on
the line Hello, Welcome to the show. Yep, can you guys hear
me? Yeah? What's up? Man? Is this Nathan? Yeah,
hey you're on the air. Welcome. Oh yeah, I totally forgot to
listen. I can hear you're giving your kids a bath? Is that what
that was going on? Yep, that's what's going on right now, family
man. Yeah, yeah, well very good. Yeah, go ahead.
No, I'm I'm super excited. I haven't heard what you guys been talking
about. I just caught the last minute of it, or so you guys
are talking about. We were Yeah, we were talking about your your bass
group. How'd you come up with that name? Dude? Um, honestly,
I'm trying to remember how I came up with it. I can't remember
it off hand really, but um, it was just kind of like I
started doing live videos on Facebook all the time and people would just kind of
like heckled me in the comments. So I think I kind of just came
up with the idea off of that, like heckle the basis because they player
it sounds like you got a child there heckling in real time. You're no
good ducking again, I'm not crank because I'm because your chops aren't good?
Dad A well, very good? Well yeah, radio, Well it does
sound like you've got your hands full so well listening, listen, we're doing
some good stuff. Yeah, don't forget to use the baby powder at the
end, you know what I mean. What have have you guys played any
songs on the air yet? Or yeah? A couple? Oh boy,
Yeah, well we played. We just played Space Cadet and we're gonna play
some more later. Oh and I opened the show today with h live inside
the lie the instrumentally bro bro Bro. They opened up with that, we're
literally smoking to come up. He's playing its right on, you know,
us dropping this like right now for people to hear this, and we're super
excited to fully release it for everybody, for sure. I'm always excited.
I'm super excited to to be a part of it with these guys, and
you know, it's it's really special to me what we're creating, so we
hope it's special for everybody else too. Yeah. Absolutely, no, it's
great stuff, man, great stuff. Love it and we're very happy to
be able to do the world radio premiere here on the show. We're gonna
do it. Yeah, I definitely am gonna hop on the hop on the
stream right now and and listen. All right, very good up here,
shout out to the fan. Man, all right, well I got I
got the kiddos here, so hop on there and listen. But all right,
Nathan, thanks for having and thanks for having us, of course,
thank you man. All right, thanks for the call. All right,
bye bye, yeah, all right, very good, very good. That
does open up the line for you. Six zo three two five six seven
six zo three two five six zero seven. Did I say his name wrong?
Yeah? He said it? Good? Oh okay, he was he
would have corrected you. It's fine. Oh what does he go by?
Nate y? Oh? Okay, oh gotcha him? Call him Nate Dog,
Nate Dog. I was thinking about n Dog. You do not?
Did I never call him? You never call him? Look at my phone,
though, Look what he is in my phone? He is Nate Dog
in my phone. He is legit literally that's what he saved as in my
phone. You know what I think of You know what's weird about that?
Alright? Call me large large fat uh deceased R and B singer Nate Dog.
Well is he dead? I didn't know that. I you had a
stroke long time ago. This is so weird because for the first time in
literally decades, I was thinking about him the other day a line, So
I've got I've got satellite radio in my car, right, and they've got
this new channel that they run in the summer called yacht Rock. Okay,
and in the promo there umb but in the in the promo that they run,
they've got Michael McDonald's song that one. Yes, yes, and they
but they just play like the opening notes of it, and all you want
to hear is Regulator. Yes. Yes. So I kept I kept hearing
it, and then and I keep thinking about Regulator by Warrangy and I hadn't
I hadn't heard that in so long, but I kept making me think about
it. So finally I pulled it up and listened to it, and then
I remembered why. I never really liked it that much. But it was
just I don't think it's very good, but it was I am you know,
ong No. I listened to a lot of spot actually, but I
just that song I never really liked. I don't think it works. It's
like because Nate Dog is just supposed to see he's just sartising the hook but
in song he's doing half the song. He's doing so much, and he's
the one and and Warren G in the lyrics, you know, he ends
up looking more like Warren B. Because Nate Dog is the one who because
he doesn't do any regular Nate Dog is the one. Nat Dog is the
one who comes in and saves the day, right right, because is about
is that East Coast West coast stuff they're about. They're about to take his
rings and take his rolex. Yes, brother, what's next? Yeah,
we're about to get you? And then and then and then Nate Dog shows
up, yes, and saves the day. Not only because he saved the
day, but he then finds them some quote unquote, hose to go to
the East side mode. Yeah, easy, it's afternoon drive. This is
quote unquote. They're called their cultural relevance. I understand, I understand,
but yes, I sustained. So anyway, that's so I was thinking about
Nate Dog. And then that's the second time he's come up. Never called
him. Never. I didn't know Nate Dog was dead. So he's a
big guy. He didn't pass away. Yeah, I think twenty years ago,
twenty at least twenty I haven't heard of him. Let's play America's favorite
game. Are they gone yet? How long have they been gone? Because
there was a time, there was a period where he there's two geezy in
folks. He was on he was March fifteent eleven. Really look at that
long for a long time. He was singing the hook on like everything.
Yeah, everything that was. I totally thought he died in the early two
thousands, two thousand and eleven. He made it. Wow, he made
it that far easy? Yea, Yeah, yeah, we're on a delay,
so I keep I keep catching it, but there you go. But
it means, you know, a lot of the audio is not going out
when that happens. Um. Yeah. So anyway, that's that was my
Nate Dog thing. So that's a funny coincidence. But you know, I
just remember, um, I just he had such a smooth voice. Yeah,
it was like it was smooth man like velvety. Yeah. And it
was like he was deep yeah. And he was a baritone, right,
which is cool because I'll say it gangster. It was gangster. You know,
what is it about being like a if I think if you're forty years
old, especially if you lived far away from any gangster life. If you're
just like a regular American kid growing up in Wherever, America, you probably
love gangster music if you are around forty years old. You know, if
you're around forty forty five years old, you could probably recite Snoop Dog,
you know, like off the top of your head, you know, like
riding a bike. Well, you know who's an older guy now and I
don't even know how old he is, but you know, Matt Grudge from
the Drudge Report not really not really relevant anymore, but but he apparently loves
gangster rap ye for whatever reason. But people people be loving it. Yeah,
even even older. He's got to be in the sixties. Now.
You know what, when people think, thanks your rap. Debbie Gibson and
Dank Sinatra, that's that's those are the two. Yes, those are the
two names that have come up. You uh, and in doing that you
brought everything full surface. I think that's we call it a callback. Are
you guys mad? You're not opening for Deborah Gibson? You know, Alice,
I'm just curious now that you know, Debbie, if you're out there
listening, apparently there's no sat Dank Sinatra would wouldn't mind playing it because there's
no open according to easy G play something eighties like some round and round by
rat or something like that. I don't know. According to easy g uh
there's no opener. Oh, by the way, Kyle Clayton is in the
Facebook live chat and says Axel is a good egg. Kyle. Kyle of
course a very very important part of the w m H family here. He's
a part of the morning show with Peter White. You know, I listened
to that guy in the mornings. He's entertaining Peter White. He is entertaining
guy weekday morning seven to nine am, with a replay from two to four
pm. And uh so for those of you listening, if you're if you
see saw that on Facebook, you can see, uh, Fredo just turned
and there was there is in the corner the giant cardboard Peter White heads the
size of my whole body. Yes, that's a big now that and just
to be clear, that's not actual Peter White, that's his that's a giant
cardboard replica of his cranium. It's an artistic rendition. It's quite life like.
And I must tell you now that's been here for a few years.
Now, get some Uni bomber vibes from that man. No, no,
Well, I'll tell you what. Honestly, when that first appeared in the
studio, I found it a little unsettling at first, but over time I
grew to find it rather comforting. So you Lake Stockholm sit. It looks
like Harvey Titel as Serpico drawn by Dolly. It's like Andy Warhol, like
if he threw it away. It's like Roy Lichtenstein had a baby with nine
inch nails. Well, it's kind of like early nineties grunge. If you
just, you know, put it under like a black lake. Well,
it can be all these things and more, but but I just, uh,
it's like he's watching over everything, and I think it's nice. I
like to think that he's watching over us, yes, or through a distance
or through us, Yeah, right through our soul. Peter White, from
a distance. Well, if you notice when you when you get up later,
you'll notice the eyes do follow you. Yeah. I know it's a
creepy effect. You can't you can't do that. It'll creep yourself out right.
You'll all of a sudden he's behind you, when we have been behind
you this whole time. Peter White it's become a tradition now whenever, whenever
musicians coming and play live in studio for us, I always have to get
a picture of whoever's on the couch duetting with the giant car. I'm gonna,
I'm gonna, I'm gonna. One time I was I was listening to
Saint Peter White. It was he was doing the trivia where it was like
the name of that song, you know what I mean? Yes, And
I was like writing the answer is pretty quickly on my keyboard, and I
think he was I think he was using my answers. Oh really to like
play against the people in the studio. Really, Uh, I'm gonna throw
that out there. Damn uh huh wow wow, shots fired here. I
Am just a guy just chilling in this dude trying we like to would you
wake up wanting like he's just like you. I mean, first he's talking
at first, he's talking about Nate Dog. You're trying to get us,
He said, were we are? We are? We are collaborators because you
know, East Coast is awesome. Like imagine if he had stayed alive and
he could do the mashup live with Michael McDonald, that would have been amazing
somehow, I don't think Michael McDonald would have gone for that. He just
strikes me as a dude who and then they both go into what a fool
beliefs? You know? And then they go into what a fool beliefe like
right away. I don't know. Doesn't Michael McDonald kind of strike you as
someone who just would say no pass. I'm surprised he joined the Dubie Brothers.
He didn't look like he smoked a Dubie in his life. He um,
you know, Dad, you're Brothers fan, you're a Tom Johnston guy,
or you're a Michael mcge He looks like an RV seller. According to
he does RVs in Vermont. I swear seeing his face at least twice.
David Crosby before he died when he did the h I think it was his
last real full length interview on The Howard Stern Show. David Crosby said in
that interview that Michael McDonald and David Crosby's opinion is currently and this was,
you know, at the time of the interview, the best singer in the
United States, Wow, the best heard you know what. David Crosby also
survived for forty years on crack in baking soda. I don't think in his
later years there was any of that. I don't know. I think he
because I don't think you would have lived as long as he did at a
continued but earlier I think it's in the weekie. You could check in the
weekie. Really, I don't think. Yeah, yeah, I don't think
he dined very old man, now he did. I think he did.
I think he I think he stuck around longer than anyone. I think he'd
I think he made it to eighty or close to it, eighty one and
a half probably, Okay, he was born in he's a World War two
baby. Yeah, forty one. We're doing math now, I'm not good
at math. I need I just just give me the don't don't, I
can't. That's probably. Yeah, you know, that's pretty good. That's
pretty good for a guy who lived the way he did earlier in his life.
Yeah, I mean, that's that's pretty good. Now. I think
he'd been cleaned for a long time. I think he kind of, yeah,
because I think it came because he had a major health crisis and he
didn't he have a kidney transplant or something, and then it was kind of
like, hey man, you either clean up or you die. This is
it. And I think he I think he's one of those rock stars that
I like, pushed up the list to get a new liver faster. It
was a liver. It was a lie, not a kid name him.
I think you're right. I think you're a bunch of guys in that generation.
I think Phil lash is around his age. You got you gotta delivery?
Oh did he? I didn't know that. That's why he does the
fair is fair. That's why at the end of every show, God bless
Phil. I love Phil so much, but he does the you know,
he does a whole speech about being an art and donor. Oh he does.
Well, yeah, because it's a rock star and rock stars get their
livers first for a while. That's right. Yeah, well that's good.
Right. You guys like that, right, I mean, if you you
know, you you get if you if you need a liver, you know
you can say, hey, you know, there's a there's a system on
my liver. It's a good thing. I'm a rock star. Yes,
it doesn't count. It should it gets tax exempt. Look if it's if
it's you'll go on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But but you
get you get a liver. You need that's more important. You're more important
systs. You need these two systs to be in the Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame. Rumors, rumors. Yeah, I don't know what it takes
to be in the Rock roll Hall of Fame because Sound Guarden didn't get in
this year. Yeah, and that is I heard Missy Elliott did I don't
know it's straight. Yeah, well she got in a while ago too.
No, it was like this is the year. It was like, have
you seen this year? Look at this It was crazy. It was like
it was like it was like this year was a sham. It was a
sham. It was like Iron Maiden was the Iron Soundguarden didn't get in.
Um, Cindy Lapper, Um who else was there? Gosh, man,
people that I don't know that shouldn't be in the rock and Roll The Spinners,
The Spinners were there. I think the Spinners deserve to be there.
Yeah. They had a couple of songs, you know, I'll be around.
Oh yeah, no, they had a bunch of hits. Oh yeah,
Um, I don't I mean, do you guys get into the whole
thing. See I see Elliott was was definitely we really don't. But this
this year's sound gardens its funny. So it's not it's not they should be
Yeah, no, there's a lot of bands that should be in and so
artist But personally, because people always complain though about oh, you know,
they shouldn't let hip hop artists in and whatnot, I always say there should
be a hip hop Hall of Fame. I always well, see, I've
always just said though to me, it's just it's a misnomer. It's not
really a rock and rolla. It's in music. It's a music Hall of
Fame. And you know in rock and roll hill. Oh yeah, you
know who wasn't speaking of which Okay, So to to segue on this year's
ballot was Willie Nelson for the rock and roll Hall of Fame and oh yeah,
and he's he's not a rock and roll guy. I love Willie Nelson
to death. And you know what, there's a country Hall of Fame.
It's it's in Nashville. Yeah, put him there. But he's influenced a
lot of rockers. Yeah, I get it. So there's that I want
to say. Tribe called Quest was also there. Yeah, it was.
I got no problem with it. Let them all in. I don't care,
let them all in. I don't care. I just I just think
of it as it's not literally a rock and roll Hall of fame. It's
a music hall of fame. But music hall of fame doesn't sound as snappy
as rock and roll hall of fame, you know what I mean. It's
a it's a popular music. I mean, there's a thing that happens in
New England called the New England Music Awards, and they do exactly that.
They separated from category yea, from different categories to different states, to different
genres. Yeah, and it is a very inclusive thing that everybody can do.
Yeah, it locally and that should be a blueprint for something like that.
And he's being like a rock and roll Hall of Fame. You're narrow
minding it to you know, just rock and roll. And so like all
these other categories get through thrown in because things have been you know, morphed
in the past few you know, decades that now it kind of needs a
re mapping at least. I mean like when I when I first was,
I don't know, I guess that's my understanding of rock and roll was it
came around in the fifties and like this guy you know, Chuck Berry and
uh little Richard and stuff like that came out with rock and roll and like
it was defined by this like beat, dude, do you know that was
like yeah, that was like the traditional what made right as So you could
like that's what makes the genre, is like the beat, because like you
could do any song in a different genre, Like happy Birthday is a folk
zone, right, but you could do Happy Birthday in a rock style,
or you could do it in like a reggae you do a reggae version.
But um, I don't know, man, But genres, it's all subgenres
really is what it is. Yeah, And on my way over here,
I always thinking so much about what what you would think about Dank Sinatra,
Like what would you call it? Would you say it's rock? Metal,
alternative rock? Well there's the yeah, there's the alternative rock sort of sort
of catch all. It's got a to me, it's got it's got kind
of a garage a garage rock absolutely vibe. You know, it's kind of
kind of raw. The production is is raw, but you know in a
good way. It's it's I don't mean it's I don't mean it doesn't sound
like it's well. It's also a good segue because black Heart Sound here in
Manchester, Here in Manchester. Eric Sotter in his crew, I have done
a phenomenal job. I hear that name a lot. He seems like he's
really has done a lot. I think he produced Faith Ann's album, Oh
okay, her first one. He produced hers, He produced the first two
Dank Sinatra EPs. This is the first LP I know he's done stuff or
um ten to one, ten to one with the granted tiers. Uh,
there's a bunch of people. Yeah, strange language, strange language. There's
a bunch of people. Deed Harrison, Deed Harrison. And that's the souf
to top of my head. The guy works with so many people. After
after Image Brandon Christio, Oh yeah, it was the after Image. We
had them on the show. Here's the engineer on this album okay, oh
no kid, And it was Eric and Brandon collaboration. Black Hart Sound Hampshire
is you know, it's run by Eric and he's got you know, people
working with him. And yeah, we're such a pleasure to work with Brandon,
to be producing, you know, to be engineering. Yeah, you
know, and then I co produced it with with with Eric and he's got
such a nice space right there behind the music mill, and he's got everything
state of the art like that, you know, sound proof, see through
you know doors, super super cool stuff. Yeah, he's got uh,
every tour you want to play with man, old amps, old cabs,
big, you know, just huge, old, stuffy tons of it.
So we were experimenting and yeah, I think we uh man um over like
a three four day period. We recorded this with him that quick. Huh
yeah. Wow. Well we rehearsed with the songs took about a year.
Yeah, yeah to write that's just travel right Yeah. Any and I went
in and reached the vocals and and and you know there's mixing and this post
stuff. You know this. I went in with a keyboard after we were
like adding some stuff. Yeah, you'll get to hear it. Yeah,
Yeah, there's there's a lot of it's it's it's an adventurous thing. We're
calling it obscurity and dissonance, okay, and it's it's uh, it's a
concept album. It's an old school concept album where uh, it's about a
guy lost in space. And uh as he's as his spaceship is running out
of fuel and he's going further out into the into the nowhere, into the
outer you know, the cosmos. Yeah, into the space. He's uh
right, like kind of searching, listening for any communication that he can make
with anyone. Then that's kind of like the album you're hearing is the stuff
coming in through the through the dial and as he's looking for for communication in
a you know, it's it's it's kind of this like Lost and Space type
of thing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, And that's I don't know,
there's I think there's a lot of people who are kind of tired of the
same old stuff. And everybody's like super political or super introspective, or everything's
a love song or a breakup song, and that just gets cheesy and old,
you know, or you know, everyone's or like your message. That's
it's it's so hilarious when an artist has like a message for everyone. Really
your message are you Gandhi? You're just a chick with a guitar man.
You don't have like a message for us. You're just you know, like
what are you gonna solve? You know, just just just just you know,
has makes sound cool man makes sound cool that we want to listen to
again and over again. Yeah, And I think that was like like the
vibe when I hear the stuff that was influencing me when I was listening to
this stuff, like a lot of Failure, a lot of Melvin's David Bowie
um where it's like, yeah, you know, there's some love songs and
stuff, but there's also just kind of cool songs about whatever, some some
cool concept man, yeah, some letur imagination role. Ye. Everything doesn't
have to have a deep, you know, message, although there is some
on this album, you know here and there. That's the thing about music
is ultimately it's it's the meaning of it is up to the listener. You
know, they can they can take have you? Have you you want to
take ourselves too seriously? I get it, like I want to take ourselves
our art seriously, but I also don't. Yeah, you know, I
like I also just want to be open to just like goofing off and that's
cool too. Have you, either of you guys ever had the I've never
thought to ask anybody this before, and I don't so I don't know if
this is a common experience people have or not. But have either of you
ever had had this happen where a song means something to you, the lyrics
means something to you, and then you hear the artist or whoever wrote the
lyrics talking about it and they say something completely different than what it means to
you, and there's something kind of jarring about that, Like okay for me,
For me, it's not jarring. I kind of just expected. I
expected at this point a person that kind of like broke that, you know,
illusion, a collective person that we we that we like is a mena.
James Keenan, the lead person Circle APC that like he he's the first
person that broke that illusion of like, I'm supposed to like it one certain
way because I think that that's what they meant, right, And time after
time, more often than not, whatever you're thinking is not going to land.
Whatever their thing right. Furthermore, furthermore, words words themselves are inert,
right, Like if I say the word love, okay, then you
hear that word and you shake your head. I'm like, okay, like
the word love and you're like okay, and I see you shake your head.
But what really happened is I said the word love and then you went
in your mind to all of your experiences or not experiences, of what that
word means to you, and then you shook your head like I'm supposed to
know what you meant, you know what I mean? So yeah, I
think I think it's the same thing with art. You know, It's just
it's just gonna mean different stuff. You know. Cracklin Rose, you know,
might be just like a whatever song go to someone, it may mean
so much yea, like a you know, like a Forever in blue Jeans
could be uh, you know about how I killed a drifter, I left
him in his blue jeans. But you know that's what it means to me.
Well, I'm sorry to hear that in a way, but but again,
you know what. Yeah, look, yeah let's do that. Let's
see what do you guys want to play the one? Absolutely? Yeah,
what do you you want to do? The math? So yeah, you
know, if you if you're a fan of Air between Us, you might
I am, and you might like if there's any Dank Sinatra fans in the
comments or in the air right now, this would be a little call back
to the first album. Yeah, I was gonna say yeah, prior to
prior to the new the new stuff they were hearing today or between Us is
my favorite. Uh. Pre what what's the name of the new album again?
This is Obscurity and Dissonance. Obscurity and Dissonance yeah, um yeah,
prior to prior to this album, air between Us is my favorite. That
was off Bulterior Motives, Two Birds Stoned at Once? Yeah, is that
really the name of Yes, absolutely, I didn't realize we called it bulterial.
How I didn't realize that we called it. Well, the idea was
that we were gonna then have another album later on down the line called Bulterior
Motives with another sub title. Yeah, but the subtitle was two Birds Stoned
at Once because the first album was just us two and yeah, you know,
this album we added Nate Yam and the first the album cover for the
first album, the artwork is our Mudshots. Yeah yeah, uh and it's
just the two of us, So, you know, adding Nate added so
much depth to songwriting and to playing in this band. Yeah, and um
yeah, so we we kind of you know, went with the concept album.
But you know, if we bring back Boltier Motives, there'll be there
would be another subtitle, you know, and it would be definitely just irreverent
and zany because we don't care. Yeah, I know, all right,
cool, Well let's listen to this. So this is one of the ones
I haven't heard yet, so this will be uh, this will be fun.
So uh. This is uh the Math and this is Dank Sinatra here

is one of their albums. Oh okay, awesome, awesome alternative rock band
from New Hampshire. And you can also find them in any streaming platform.
Yeah, excellent, really good stuff. Wired for Sound excellent. We will
we will check that out. Absolutely. It does kind of look like a
Silent Hill shirt though. Yeah. Yeah, it's got some like horror vibes.
I like that. Yeah, no, it does. It definitely does.
Uh. Let's see. Crystal said, by the way, during Easyg's
entertainment report, this is the shortened down version. Um, that's right.
Rondo Favero says, California is in the house. Help me run. Let's
say, what's a big state it is? It's like, let's say,
I want to say forty nine and a half million people? Is it forty
maybe thirty nine? Ask him anything about CALLI thirty nine and a half millions.
Let's ask him anything. I forgot for a second that you used to
live there, California. Whatever name three songs bro Hey, Red Hut,
Chili Peppers? Can those as like thirty nine point five million? Thirty nine
point five Yeah? Okay, I want to say Jay Fat is in the
chat room. Hello, Hey, let's see, I thought I saw Kyle's
Clayton from the morning show we mentioned is in there. Hello Kyle Kyle.
Uh, let's see, I thought I saw Jef Dude date. My friend
Dave Wally is in the Facebook live chat. Dave is a very talented musician.
I went to high school with Dave and h he's got a podcast he's
gonna be working on. I gotta talk to him more about that. I
think he wants some input from me. But yeah, very it's funny Dave.
David called the show recently and we talked about it in high school because
my favorite band is Kiss, and in high school, Dave used to give
me a hard time about it, and uh so, after all, what
could be a hard time guys were in makeup and giant boots. I know,
right, But but then he's funny. He called the show one day
and we talked about it, and uh, he's he respects them now and
even even when to an audition at one point for a Kiss tribute band.
So it's kind of funny but like, all these years later to talk about
that because I still remember what he used to give me a hard time.
It's funny. But God, bless the Internet. You know, you can
connect with people from you know, decades ago. Yeah, I won't say
how many decades, but decades ago, speaking of Kiss. I was at
a music connection you know where music connect you know, music music the record
store, Yeah, we have. It's like the best record store in Manchester.
I mean, you know they got that guy on Summerville. I haven't
been in there and a really long but but but the dude, yeah,
music connection with it was like it was cheap. It was like ten bunocks.
They had Kiss Alive the double album. Yeah. I had to get
it man. Yeah, on vinyl, the original nice I'm a sucker for
Vinyl. Yeah, dude, I love it. I love it. Somebody
told me on the show. It was someone who said this that in uh,
in twenty twenty two, it was the first year that Vinyl out CDs
again, It's real. It's coming back. Yeah. I think people enjoy
it. Yeah, there's something cool about it, you know what I mean.
The other day I was hanging with my girl. We put on Master
of Reality. Yeah, and um, you know it starts off with sweet
Leaf and you know, like towards you know, a song. It was
like the song ended, what is that? It's what is that? What
is that? Yeah, it's the end of We gotta side B. We
gotta put side B on. Yeah, someone's got to go. So it's
cool. Yeah, it's cool to hold it in your hand and his artwork
on it. And well, I think too. Part of why vinyl sell
so well now is a lot of people just um because I never actually stopped.
And I think a lot of people, if they're really a fan of
an artist, you know, they'll they'll buy the vinyl and and just never
even open it, just keep to collect it because I love the artists absolutely,
you know, and they might also buy the CD to listen to you
or just I have have doubles. I have a lot of I like,
I have my Sergeant Peppers only hardest club band. I have a double which
I like, I have the one I listened to and the one I play
yeah, you know there's I have a few records. Yeah, there's there's
a few records. I have Double Dark Side of the Moon. Um.
By the way, my Sergeant Peppers is an original Apple Records Sargeant Peppers.
Wow, which is why I don't. I do not play it. Oh
wow. It's definitely over one hundred bucks worth. It's like if I try
to sell it on ebad, probably get a couple hundred bucks or at least
it's got the original pool out cut cut cut your own Sergeant Pepper's uniform really
yeah, because like inside the sleeve you had this thing where like you could
you know, um, you had like little stripes in a star and you
could make it. You can make your own uniform. Yeah. I have
a sticky fingers with the original. It's got a zipper with the zipper yeah
yeah, and like you know, you don't play that man, right Yeah.
I have an unopened Peter Frampton Comes Alive unopened. Yeah, it's never
it's sealed, never been open. Yeah yeah, and I can't I can't
listen to it, right, that's cool. But my record player has bluetooth
on it because it's twenty twenty three. Yeah, yeah, that you have
like something two things that should not exist together and they do. Yeah,
it's like retro retro tech man that is that is kind of funny. Like
if I want the pops and hisses, then yeah, I'll put it.
I'll put on a vinyl. But if I want to listen to like h
G Clue, yeah, I don't understand it, Like I'd rather listen to
trist Of all day. But then I was shocked. I don't know if
I've I've talked about it on the show. I can't remember if I've talked
about it with you guys before on the show. But uh, was it
maybe five or six years ago. I'm on bandcamp dot com and I said,
and I realized that, uh there's cassette tapes and now that, and
now that's come back in a big I mean, it's never gonna get last.
The last cassette tape I bought was a local band called Black Hatch.
Yeah, have you ever heard of Black hatsh their local Manchester hard rock garage
rock, hard garage rock, really good stuff rock and dude, if you
like Kiss, check out Black Hatch. But yeah, they were selling tapes
and I was like, are they selling tapes. They were like it was
dude, they were so cool. They had a they had a box.
It was like, I think it was outside of um oh, what's that
tattoo places? Chess place right there down there down there anyways. Yeah,
yeah, they were playing outside the back of that. No, no,
no, the other one. Oh anyways, Uh, they're playing at behind
the back of it. And they had a box with all a bunch of
tapes in it, and it was like, give us five bucks or just
take a tape. Oh kid, like like take it, you know,
like you don't have to pay for it, but we will will accept your
money. Yeah, it was cool and I definitely took put my five bucks
in there. But yeah, yeah, it's it's cool. I mean,
tape tape is cool man, you know. I mean if if sometimes,
you know, you play something a bunch of times and then you start you
start to hearing that that hiss, you know. I remember that. I
used to make my mixes off the radio. I mean I used to take
to like wad up a piece of tissue paper and like shove it in the
little slots in the bottom part of the tape, yea yea, And I
could just tape over it, make my own mix tapes all right off the
radio. I would. I would go so far as to, like if
the tape broke, if I wore it out, I would actually try to
and a couple of times it actually worked. Tape I would Yeah, I'd
try to tie them together. I would literally I would tie them together.
That doesn't work, Yes, it does, that would work. You would
skip, you would skip a certain part? Well yeah, yeah, but
you have to make sure that both of the top that you have to make
sure that it's thin enough. The top and the bottoms are different and positive
and negative. It's weird. Yeah, Like there were certain ones that did
pop that I would just tie, because what if you tie and it goes
to side B from side A. That was the risk you you took.
I didn't say it was perfect, but I say you could do it,
so that would work, huh, I mean for a while, right,
no kidding. It's like if you're listening to Floyda goes from us and them
into breathe, like what happened. People would never know. You'll never get
to hear the Great Break the Sky REMIXXIX. Oh that's wild, that's wild.
We want to do it. We want to we want to put out
a vinyl. Yeah, you know, like it's expensive. It is what
I hear. It is wide expensive. It's not just the expensive thing.
But believe it or not, there's a waiting list. Really, even if
you have money, good luck, there's a bad quarter. Interesting. Yeah,
there's probably not very many companies that do it. No, there isn't.
There isn't And you can go as you can go as few as like
I want to make ten for seventy five a pop, or you can go
form like I want to make a thousand for ten bucks each. Oh wow,
you know what I mean? Like it's it gets it gets crazy.
It is expensive. It's absolutely expensive. Yeah. But you know the thing
is if you so you're not gonna if you make one or two or three,
if you make a handful, You're not doing it to make a profit.
Ye, You're doing it to like, you know, put it on
the fridge and show everyone that you made a record, right Yeah, yeah,
yeah, of course, of course. Um are you guys? Uh
so this isn't actually out yet? Write the new album or is it?
We have not dropped it, man. So this is absolutely so, this
is a real worldwide This is awesome. Yeah, I'm beyond stoked actually,
and I just couldn't thank you enough for having us. Yeah. Yeah,
no, I'm happy to happy to do it. So when does the do
we have an ETA on when the album officially is released? We're looking at
mine okay, We're looking at Midge Live for the release, and that's going
to be you know, of course, you know all all all services that
you that you give your music from. Yeah, um, you know,
whether it's YouTube or Spotify or you know, Apple or Amazon or wherever you
get your music from. That We're we don't want to put an exact date
on it yet because we're still still in post. Yeah, but looking at
mid July okay, yeah cool. Are you guys playing out a lot these
days or have you been focused on getting the album done? Scribe? We
uh, we are definitely, we are definitely uh we have definitely um taken
a back seat to performing this year. Yeah, a good chunk of this
year went straight into writing material, uh and recording, jamming, jamming these
songs out to polish from and recording and tracking and getting getting everything up to
up to stuff with everything. So like we we've, as they said,
taking a back seat to it, but we are definitely trying to hit the
road quote unquote, uh yeah. So this this month we're playing at Area
twenty three in the seventeenth yep and Conquered. I don't know. The dates
were deets deets. So it's gonna be Saturday, Saturday. Yeah, it's
gonna be Saturday. June seventeenth, starts at at Area twenty three, and
I think the music is gonna start there at eight and uh then we're gonna
be uh, We're gonna be in Dover on August twenty fifth at the Strand
Theater. Ah, yes, great place, Yeah, every everything. I've
never been there, everything I hear about it. Yeah, and they put
your name on the marque and everything, which is really cool. I see.
I see a lot of cool pictures of fans in front of the marquee
and it's awesome. It's really good to say. That's something in my calendar
for July twenty ninth in Nashville. I think they got canceled. Yeah,
I think there's a discreptancy with UM a particular venue in Nesha, but UM
over that we have one. As I said, as I said the seventeenth
of this month, we're that's like next Friday. Yeah, well next Saturday.
It's next Saturday, that's what. And then August twenty fifth, So
like we're we're not we're trying to get back into it because we've been kind
of like shelling ourselves to make this as good as possible. Yeah yeah,
um, and you know it's a full album, which is ambitious in this
era because there's a listen, you know, not that many. Yeah,
they're really doing that, I mean, you know, and of course we
live in a time when you've got so many different options anyway with the internet.
Like for example, yesterday I had on I don't know if you know
Holly Brewer. Um, I've heard the name. Yeah, yeah, she
she was on the show yesterday. She called in and we actually did a
world radio premiere for her new single, Clothesline. But what she does is
she she's on a regimented schedule. Every month she releases a new single,
cool everything, and she's been doing that since one nineteen. But that's it.
That like there's no big album or anything. So every every month she
releases one song and it's yeah, he's consistent, Yeah it is. Yeah,
yeah, she sticks to it. But but it's um, there's so
many different ways to do it. Was it important to you guys to do
that? To make a make a full album? Like, did you decide
from the beginning with with this one it was going to be a full album?
Or yeah? Yeah? Yeah. The first one was an EP with
a couple covers on it. Yeah, you know we had that was back
when I was on base in the band Frank Uh you know, Frank was
amazing guitarist. Yeah, but we had a couple of covers on that.
And then the second one it was like, I think like thirty four minutes
total. Yeah, it just wasn't long enough to be an album, and
it was just excellent. I and so I think we really wanted a full
album. And then we started talking about a concept and it was like,
all right, you're right now, and I think about it. No one
is doing stuff like that. Yeah, no one's putting out a concept album
with thirteen songs. It's probably gonna be close to like an hour long.
Yeah, Like that's um, But here we are and we're doing it.
I think it was important because we we had UM, we had a lot
of songs with a certain vibe and we actually wrote we wrote a lot of
songs that didn't make it to this album really, you know, so we
I think we we ended up we started with like twenty and then we like
just carve some off, chop some away, and then you cut as much
fat off as you can and you end up with kind of like the songs
that you don't want to get rid of, And that's what we ended up
with these thirteen songs. Yeah. Yeah, it's you know, talking about
what we were talking about earlier, where it's like some of these songs are
serious and some are not. Um and I think that's a part of just
kind of the concept of the you know, the chaos of being lost in
space, you know, like the the existential thoughts you're going to have of
like you know, uh, this right, this thing in front of me
matters, but also you know, what does any of this matter? You
know? Sure? So it's like a I think there is um so many
different things that we had to say, and it couldn't have been done with
less songs. We cut away with what we could, yeah, what we
had to yeah, yeah, and what we what we kept we just couldn't
get rid of. Right right, Well, let's um, let's play another
one, because yeah, we're we're rapidly running out of time, but I
want to I'd like to get at least one more and now, and then
we'll do one more at the end of the show. But let I'll let
you defer to you guys what I should play next. Uh you know,
since you said you liked it. Um, oh Bowser, Yeah, yeah,
I like everything on here, but yeah, Bowser, uh so far
as my personal favorite. Um, that's a Nate. So we're hoping to
hear Big Sleep. Maybe we could do Big Sleep as like the outro.
I don't know. Yeah, whatever, whatever you want to do, Yeah,
we can do that. But all right, let's um, yeah,
this is a this is a quick one. Actually it was only two and
a half minutes. Yeah, that's a short one. But let's we'll give
this a listen. We've got Danks and Outra here with us in studio and
this is called Bowser to My to Love Martial line Child. Just this time,
it's just my wind to my mind to watch say. That is Bowser
Dank Sinatra that is brand new, coming off the new album. And uh
yeah, Nate said in the chat room, thanks for playing that one.
Yeah, he wrote that yeah, um, very very cool. Yeah,
that's my personal favorite from the new album. And uh yeah banger, great
stuff, great stuff. Um if if you'd like to get in with a
quick call for the band while they're still here six zo three two five six
seven six three two five six seven, or I should say while we're all
here, because we're we're almost out of show. It goes so quick.
Mike from Queen City Cabinetry, one of our great sponsors here at w m
h's in the chat room, she said, he says a great show today.
Guys, super talented. So you have a fan and thanks Mike from
Queen City Cabinetry. Are you familiar with Queen City Cabinetry? And I hear
all time on your radius. I mean here the ads they're in the in
the historics. Unbeam mall's named, of course for General Sunbeam, who was
General Sunbeam. That's why it's historic. I thought it was the appliance guy.
No, no, General Sunbeam. He uh you know he won the
war. I mean if it wasn't for General Sunbeam, who knows what would
have happened. I thought the war was over, man, while the war
was over, when genera when General General Sunbeam won it for us. I
mean, we could have all been speaking Hungarian right now. War never changes.
General Sunbeam the great I think it was Sunbeam that said war's hell the
greatest military mind since slice spread General Sunbeam And uh and by the way,
I suggest you think about that the next time you're enjoying a delicious sandwich.
Is how many stars? It was? Like a two stars? He was?
He was he was a five star general. Wow? Yeah, yeah,
Supreme Commander. Think about that the next time you're eating a sandwich,
think about think about the freedom that you have to eat that sandwich, and
think of General Sunbeam. Wow, that's right. You feel that feel that
salty mommy, uh, gratifying taste in your tongue. Sunbeam did that?
That's an ectoplasm? Actually, I just you know what I just felt.
It was a chill come over me. And I think it's a ghost of
General Sunbeam. I think he's here with us. He's watching over us.
Yeah, yeah, from a distance, General Sunbeam. I always feel like
somebody's watching somebody's Sunbeam. That's rights General Sunbeam watching over General Sunbeam. And
I can't get no sandwiches. I mean, I don't know you seem skeptical.
Uh, they're a Fredo. I have to I have to see you
seem a little skeptical about the whole thing. It's just the sandwich thing that
gets me. Yeah. Yeah, he almost seems like feel like ironed my
own sandwich. Oh I oh, I get it. Okay, freedom isn't
free, and neither of our sandwich my free will well free free. It
takes general sunbeam. Oh so you've heard the jingle of course, look good
well guys, before we run out of time and we are going to play
one more song, Dan Michelle, but we are we are approaching the end
of the program. So I want to make sure that everybody knows where to
find you online and so they can keep up with everything that you're doing.
And of course keep an eye out for when the album is released in July
and all the good stuff and social media anything you want us to, uh,
make sure our listeners know about what you want to check out Dank Sinatra
the band. Uh. You can like, you can YouTube Dank Sinatra the
Band. Uh. You can also look us up on Spotify or band camp.
Dank Sinatra. You can look up our album Bolt your motives and soon
obscurity and dissonance will be coming out, so you can look up dank Sinatra
ab security and dissonance. Um, there is more than one Dank Sinatra out
there, but we like to think that we're there. We're the cool ones.
I think the mom says we're cool. The other one's a hip hop
artist. I think, right, isn't there. There's there's many hips ones.
There's rock rock and roll, rock and roll ones, there's heavy metal
ones. There's a few. Yeah, we've been we've been approached by a
couple. We got stone and thought of it on our own. We we
we've been approached by a couple. Like actual dank Sinatra pages really no season
desists, just like hey, congratulation respect, you know, from one dank
Sinatra to another. Really good. Absolutely, Oh that's good. That's mom
dank Sinata. Brother from another dank SINATRAA mother nice. You know. I
don't know if that's not that, but it's very possible anything, very positive.
I think Mike Pence will have a heart attack thinking about that sentence.
Oh yeah, well, it's like it's funny, don't mention mother whenever I
know, you know, our we have our wonderful sponsor the Hopknot And by
the way, they have trivia tonight because it's Thursday night trivia, get out
to hop Knot. But I but you know, they do a lot of
you know, they do drag shows and stuff. I love not They celebrate
Pride month of course, and all that good stuff. And I always but
whenever I'm whenever I'm plugging their events and I mentioned, like, say,
they have a drag show coming up, I always say, I just hope
Governor DeSantis is not campaigning in the state today because he'll be so upset.
Gee. I wonder if he'll stop by the Hop Knot on his travels through
the state. I doubt it, doubt it, but it'd be funny to
see. I don't know if there's a lot of people getting in the race
just today, man oh, I know, yeah, kind of crazy.
We don't have to talk about it right now. Even the even now the
mayor of of is it the mayor of Miami or some is getting in And
so there's another Floridian. I think Christie jumped in, so three three Floridians.
Chris Christie is uh he jumped in as an anti Trump guy. I
have mixed feelings about him. On one hand, I think he's a terrible
person because of Bridge Bridge Gate. He is. I don't believe he didn't
know Washington Bridge was Absolutely he knew. He had to have known by design.
But there are sometimes I'm kind of he's kind of fun to have around.
I'm glad he's in. He's charming, he's charismatic. He's charismatic.
Yeah, yeah, sure, he's a good talking and I like his New
Jersey accent. I just kind of pretend he's a soprano's character. Anyone who
passes the New York barye, you gotta have some brains. Yeah, you
know what I mean. Yeah, he does have a weird charisma about him
that that's kind of so I'm glad he's in. But yeah, remember that,
remember that time he closed down the whole beach and forced everyone else so
his own his family could hang out there, but by himself. That was
like, yeah, that was like at the end when when he was governor
and he was it was like yeah, and it was like he was trolling
everybody on his way out the door, which was kind of that was kind
of weird. But I'm as the governor, I'm going to shut this whole
thing down because of COVID. But I'm gonna come out here and barbecue with
my folks. Yeah. And then he's there's a picture of him with his
family and joined the beach, and he's just got this big smile out of
his face, the biggest middle finger to everybody else. Yeah. That was
strange, very new Jersey, new Jersey of him. Yes. Oh,
by the way, Nate says in the chat room, thanks for having us,
Matt. Much appreciated about your kind words about Bowser. That means a
lot to me personally. Oh my pleasure. I'm very happy to do it.

open for you. Yeah, Debbie Gibson, Deborah give Deborah Gibson,
Debra she is Uh, she is playing tonight at the Palace Theater and uh
apparently no opening acts. So if you go down there, if you go
down there, you might be able to get you might be able to talk
somebody into Did you ever like hang out backstage? You try to cast somebody?
