20:37 Speaker 15: Yeah, I'm Eleanor. I am the lead vocalist in the band, and and and I also play viola on some of our tracks.

23:06 Speaker 18: Yeah, nineteen Well for vine a record's gonna be nineteen songs. Okay, I'm a double album but CD, you know, yeah, but nineteen songs.

23:13 Speaker 1: So okay, wow, Now what one in the decision to do that? Because you know, we live in an era where people are releasing singles, some people some artists just only released singles, some release EPs, some release albums.

23:26 Speaker 18: But a double album, well, the then as we started working this project last year and we wanted to try to change us sound a little bit from the previous albums we had, and we wrote a song called like Sinai that kind of started a whole thing. And when that happened, it was like a, I don't know, such a flow of creativity that we had filmy songs that we had to you know, release them all. Yeah. Actually there's a lot more songs that was part of the project that's going on other projects. Oh really yeah, but this band, the way it works is if you take too long finishing an album, I'd add more songs to.

24:04 Speaker 18: It's so it's like you need to get it done really quick or you're gonna have, you know, a four piece album.

24:09 Speaker 1: So why does that happen? Are you just always writing? Is there just always new music?

24:14 Speaker 18: I'm always writing. Yeah, I can't stop, just like it's just my thing.

24:18 Speaker 15: It's amazing, Like, well, we'll come over for practice and he's like, I wrote four new songs today and they're all amazing, Like.

24:25 Speaker 1: Oh wow, that's cool. Like did you write songs for other artists as well?

24:31 Speaker 18: Or yes? And I don't like doing that anymore. You know what the problem is like is you know the band like if I write something, they want it from themselves, and I you know, that's fair. So I got to write something really really odd, and then that's want to utilize it. But I think they're I mean utilize that sometimes I don't know. But now we became an agreement. It's like, if I write songs, it's for this band. Yeah, you know, I helped out like the play Dad, which was in here a few weeks ago.

25:03 Speaker 18: He's a new album coming out in a few months and I helped work on that one. Oh okay, but that's basically just a bit like I can't I'm not allowed to know any music. That's kind of like ours, I'm not allowed to do it. Okay, okay, pulled the plug. I think we met Plague Dad through Vices inc. Yeah, well when I were originally we'll put me on that date and to be here, that's right. We were able to show up and Frank came in killed us and helped out and yeah he's entertaining for.

What did you say, the ninth, thirteenth, thirteenth? Perfect? Yeah, that is perfect, yep, absolutely, And then are you already are you already working on the next one? Because you've got all this music.

25:55 Speaker 18: I'm gonna I'm gonna have one of them explained about that because it's insane.

25:59 Speaker 15: Actually, Okay, we're working on the next several projects. Like we have folders of all different like kind of genres, like yeah, like it's it's it's it's unfathomable, unfathomable how much music he has completed, and now like we have to go through the process of adding Handie's bass and Chrissy's strums and then my vocals. And I'm not very fast at writing lyrics, so it's like he'll like write thirty songs for everyone that I complete.

26:33 Speaker 15: So we have it all organized and we have like a loose plan, but you know, stuff comes up. If you write something he's really passionate about. In the next couple of months, it's very possible we'll like switch over to like really focus on that, right, and then go back to the other things.

26:52 Speaker 18: Kind of I think we're yeah yeah wow, and then I've got a lot more that's stort away waiting for them. But again, she said, in the meantime, I'm writing more new material all the time. Yeah. So it's it's it's never end the battle.

27:13 Speaker 1: So do you do you write the music and eleanor you write the lyrics or how does how does the process?

27:18 Speaker 18: Worah? I write the music and then I killed the band, Yeah, put it okay, and then elements to that. Yeah, each person, you know what? She writes most of the lyrics. Sometimes she wants, hey, can you help me out here? And I might help her out. Yeah I won't. I don't know, Yeah, right, she writes.

27:37 Speaker 15: Usually what he'll do, though, is he'll he'll record a track and then he names it and it's a dummy title, like he's usually attached to the name, but he has so many songs he's sending me that I often use the dummy.

27:52 Speaker 15: It's kind of like a writing prompt where I'm like, okay, like what like this is what he named the song, like Truculent, Like okay, what what could that be about?

28:25 Speaker 18: We got track a little bit because of COVID and stuff. Yeah, we were starting playing shows and stuff, and when COVID had it kind of derailed us a little bit. Yeah, so instead of just not doing anything, we just worked in the studio and made music and stuff. Yeah, and then we didn't start playing shows again last year. Oh okay, three years before we started playing shows again.

28:43 Speaker 18: Now, now we've been on three fours at least to think yep, okay, we've done multiple things now.

28:56 Speaker 18: It all becomes up when we're here April, oh, January, January last ye, I think we were something like that. Oh okay, okay, it's genuine.

29:08 Speaker 22: Yes, we have, Okay, we had twice, Yeah, twice because the first tour would have been before that, and.

29:15 Speaker 18: Then we have just gotten back from that big festival in March and the April we did a tour okay, tour in August. Okay, supposed to going another tour in November.

29:30 Speaker 18: Oh yeah, I'm not gonna be I'm not gonna be in the band more. It's news to you guys. Yeah.

29:44 Speaker 1: Now now the so the last now, the last tour that you did, did you go out did you go out with a national act or what?

29:51 Speaker 18: Did you know? We actually left play dad, that was open act. Oh okay, right, you played with you know, various acts from different states and stuff when we went there. Yeah, Northeast, yeah,

30:04 Speaker 18: Ju said, Delaware. Yeah, yeah, and it was it was great. It was fun, you know, and great to you know, play different places and meet different people. We know that people go crazy in New Jersey on Sundays, which is really crazy to.

30:22 Speaker 22: Yeah, in New Jersey, I guess. It was definitely not day drinking. Was drink It felt like day drinking though.

Uh So, when when you play live, is it hard because you have a lot of music? Is it hard to decide what to play? Is it hard to narrow down a set list? Or what's what's that like?

32:34 Speaker 18: That's a that's a good question. I usually don't tell in the set list. We you u see this play? Really it's really Yeah, Yeah, it's usually what what I'm in the mood for. Yeah, I'm being honest. That's how it is.

32:50 Speaker 22: We mean he's never given us a song we don't know at least because then he would not probably not know it either, so he's not gonna you know, bet himself and shoot himself leg right, But.

33:07 Speaker 18: And then we mix it with some cover songs that people like. Yeah, but if I feel in the song's not gonna work for the show, and what's your shut out for something else?

33:15 Speaker 1: Yeah, because you can kind of you know, read the room and sure exactly figure out what you think the crowd's gonna want.

33:21 Speaker 1: And then now have you got You've gotten some airplay right with uh with some of these singles.

33:25 Speaker 18: Oh yeah, oh yeah. We're in quite a few iradio stations now, which is really cool.

33:29 Speaker 18: Yeah, and you know we've been doing It's kind of funny because we we did some radio, like I said, IDs over the last weekend. Yeah, and some radio stations that asked us to do it, and I think all was like maybe six of them, yeah, and then she said I'm doing like fourteen of one.

And then we got a song that is an intro to an album called The Experience, and that got a lot of plays. Well it's really weirdly and then, uh, don't be be aware. We're not gonna mention that one.

35:13 Speaker 18: But yeah, so it's we are happy that it's mostly like backline kiss songs now because that's the sound we're moving into. Okay, for the most part, were the longest time we're a pop punk band. Yeah, we moved away from that. Yeah, we're trying to move away from that, just a change.

35:28 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, I I really like these songs now, So is that is that kind of the direction you're going with because you're constantly writing, Like do you try to stay in that lane when you're writing or.

It's it's whatever I'm in the mood for kind of them, right, Yeah, And I can base a whole album around one song if it works out that way. But I always from the very again, I told him, like eventually we're gonna get older, and I want music to accommodate that. Okay, I didn't want to be playing music that I feel like I'm seventeen years old still. Yeah, and they were all, you know, they were fine with that, and they kind of knew the idea that we're going to be changing that into the more return of style, if that's what you want to typecast.

36:14 Speaker 18: Yeah. And but once we I had a few songs I was working on before, and I was like, eventually we're going to get to that song. I went to that album. We had to get a few bridge albums to that album, which is called 's Link by the way, and that's gonna be a cooler album. It sounds like.

36:34 Speaker 2: Ourself thought album that will come out in a couple of years.

36:36 Speaker 18: But when we when I did like like sign, I had a dream and I basically hummed the song on the phone and called Christ you have get your butt down here. We're gonna get together. Yeah, and we started working on that. I knew then that this is this is style I want to do, and we did a whole album around that style. Yeah. So it came out a little bit sooner than I thought I was gonna. But that's where I'm at right now. Yeah.

36:58 Speaker 1: Yeah, when you say you didn't want to, you know, as you get older, you didn't want to still be playing music that sounded like you were seventeen? Is that like, what do you mean, like like sort of that pop punk thing you wanted to get around?

I just thought I want to expand what we're doing a little bit more and and it's a little bit more challenging too, you know. So I feel like in you know, with the people who are play in this band, like you know, Elmo's vocals are you know, amazing, and it's great to you know, utilize that. Christie you know fine,

37:38 Speaker 18: but you know, you know, you know, handily like different styles of music than you know, than the other two people. Well, I think her and Christy like some similar music. I mean, I like everything for the most but you know, but I wanted to incorporate people's likes a little bit more into the music. So yeah, you get more committed to it, but you know, and at the same time that they always committed to whatever we're doing too, so I shouldn't even say that, but that's the way I'm thinking right now.

38:02 Speaker 18: But also the ones that just wanted to be sent it to a wider market, that's the main thing. But also feel like, you know, I'm not juvenile.

38:23 Speaker 22: Yeah, it actually came from a song that he wrote, like right when around the time that we met, there was a song that we were working on.

38:32 Speaker 22: Okay, And we were trying to come up with a name for the band, and we just kept like looking up, Oh is this like, is the name of this this idea taken like on a website or anything. And we took up looking and all these ideas, like all these wackiest things you can think of, all of them taken. You look at Vices Inc. And we're like oh, there's no way this isn't going to be taken. Nope, no bands called vices inc.

Yeah, and I was like, well, I want able to have that, you know, so like, yeah, if I can't have that, then I'm going to change the name just announced and so me the names that I was coming up with it.
