The Passing of Time

Uh you know, Buzz and I were and my first time meeting Buzz today, but we're talking off there about how it's those faster as to get older, and it's been it'll be in April, it'll be ten years that I've been here at W M and H and just gone in the blink of an eye. Yeah, no kidding, right, that's incredible.

Facebook Live Challenges

Well again, it goes quick. Yes, I've actually aged a little bit since we had the conversation, right right, yes.

The Value of Radio in Emergencies

13:14 Speaker 2: No, Yeah, I don't have a radio at home in my car obviously. Well, I mean I'm not at home. I do not have an actual radio.

24:32 Speaker 1: I mean I tune in how many? I mean you have new artists all the time.

24:37 Speaker 2: Yeah, so every because we typically, you know, I'm on for three hours, so we have a different guest each hour, so each each hour it's yeah, it's a lot of new up and coming indie artists. Or sometimes we have indie artists who've been around for a while but they're still releasing new music and and that's that's really what my show is about, is exposing people to new music. And I love talking to creative people. Yeah, you know, not just music. But you know, we've had actors and authors and comedians, but mostly musicians and uh, and I love talking to them about what drives them and exposing their music to a broader audience.

25:10 Speaker 2: And and you know, it's it's uh, I'm passionate about a lot of things. But that's probably close to the top of the list.

25:15 Speaker 1: Yeah, that's that's great though. Saturday mornings right here in w m n H Live. And if you if you for whatever reason, can't listen on Saturday morning, it does replay during the week Monday, Wednesday, Friday here at four o'clock after the morning show replay. Yes, so yeah, you've been here. So wow ten years, ten years in April. That's amazing. A lot of it's funny how things have changed, you know what I mean. I mean when you take a block of ten years and you think of everything that has come through here, whether it's the old station or here, it's amazing.

25:57 Speaker 2: This week, so we've got you know I have to Oh, so we've got bf Raid, Boston's Final Raid. It's a long name that's the full name of the band. So yeah, great band from Boston. We've got Jam Tomorrow who are also from the area, and I have to check it. Honestly, it all becomes a blur.

26:15 Speaker 4: Oh.

26:15 Speaker 2: In the third hour, we have elder Piece Sloan. They're not from here, but they're they're on tour right now, they're traveling here. I know, it sounds like it's a it's a guy, elder Piece Loan, it's actually the name of the band, but they're they're going to be coming in here too. In the third hour. I think they're from Pennsylvania. But because we do, you know, some some artists from the area, but also a lot of artists from other parts of the country, and and we even have a guests who join us remotely from other continents.

26:42 Speaker 2: Even so, the show's the show's really expanded over the years and we get there's incredible talent all over the world really that you know, it's just waiting to be heard. So we have some pr firms that we work with too that send us a lot of guests. So it's as the show has grown over the years and it's become bigger and more successful, it's easier and easier to get great guests obviously. So I was talking to somebody about that the other day. How when I first started, it was like, uh, you know, just pulling teeth to get people to come on.

27:11 Speaker 2: But so we've come a long way, you know, and being here at w M and H has been a huge part of that obviously.

27:17 Speaker 3: Especially the new studio.

27:19 Speaker 2: Oh yeah, oh, people love coming in here. It's great.

27:22 Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, you know, it was tough to the transition though. I mean for me, it took me a little while.

27:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it was.

27:30 Speaker 3: It was definitely weird.

27:31 Speaker 4: You know.

27:31 Speaker 1: I felt like I was being punished for a while, like I was in like a yeah. Well then but then Dan O'Neill came to the rescue, and uh, well we decided to get this. Uh uh you know I love this video window. Yeah yeah, right, yeah, we were going to get a real window, and then I said, no, we don't need it anymore because we have this.
