8:44 Speaker 12: also on the fact that when Mark and I started,

8:49 Speaker 12: can't jam today. So it's kind of multifaceted. But as

8:54 Speaker 12: I said, I'm a big Lewis Carrol fan. This is

13:53 Speaker 8: Oh wow, you've got a lot. So I didn't realize

13:55 Speaker 8: you had that many.

13:56 Speaker 12: Yeah, we've only got a few recorded studio wise, we're

13:58 Speaker 12: working on that. We actually spent three days in the

14:00 Speaker 12: studio in the last month chipping away at that.

14:07 Speaker 11: You have Board's House Production uh in Brookline. H Pete,

14:11 Speaker 11: the same guy who does Fox and Flamengos. Oh okay, yeah,

14:15 Speaker 11: like Roots of Creation some other some other different guys.

14:19 Speaker 8: I was gonna say, yeah, that's very familiar. Yeah, yeah,

14:24 Speaker 9: How many songs have you recorded. At this point, you've

14:26 Speaker 9: got twenty five originals. How many songs have.

14:28 Speaker 1: You in various stages?

14:29 Speaker 12: I think Gary and I have one that we wrote

14:31 Speaker 12: sort of independent of Mark. After Gary had a car accident.

14:34 Speaker 12: We spent some time when he was laid up with

14:36 Speaker 12: some hardware and some traction. I wrote a couple of songs.

14:39 Speaker 12: We recorded one of them, and then we've got We

14:41 Speaker 12: actually recorded Sign of the Times, which we did chemical

14:44 Speaker 12: distance and actually traces all the way back to my

14:47 Speaker 12: early hip hop project, Lidman's Load. Then we recorded that.

14:51 Speaker 12: That'll be the third time I've recorded that in the studio.

14:54 Speaker 12: And then we've got five originals that are unique to

14:56 Speaker 12: this project.

14:57 Speaker 9: I'm particularly Yeah, I'm particularly curious. Here a Sign of

16:39 Speaker 5: You could hear that beautiful man say, got paid.

21:19 Speaker 12: people that I know. Yeah, I'm not going to tell

21:21 Speaker 12: you who they are, but they're uh, they're all represented, right, So.

21:29 Speaker 8: Angreen yes, very good, very good. Now for a whole

21:34 Speaker 8: wi the whole wide world. Is that the name of

21:37 Speaker 9: Yeah, did you guys want to play that one live?

21:41 Speaker 12: Okay, I'm pretty happy with how it came out. There's

21:44 Speaker 12: uh marked an amazing job tracking harmonies on that. It

21:48 Speaker 12: probably took us three hours to double track the harmonies

21:52 Speaker 12: on that because I kind of wandered timing wise. Yeah,

21:56 Speaker 12: I sort of took some theater prerogative on that little jazzy.

22:00 Speaker 12: Backstory on that is my wife's cousin, Rachel Corey, went

22:04 Speaker 12: to do some piece work in Palestine twenty two years ago.

22:08 Speaker 12: She was like twenty or twenty one years old, and

22:12 Speaker 12: she ended up losing her life in an altercation, just

22:16 Speaker 12: trying to help some people protect a water well, yeah,

22:19 Speaker 12: protect their home.

22:20 Speaker 1: It's a sad story. There's a lot of sides to

22:22 Speaker 1: every story.

22:22 Speaker 12: I'm not trying to take a side on this story,

22:24 Speaker 12: but that's sort of the background for this story.

22:28 Speaker 9: Yeah, I remember you guys played this. I think the

22:30 Speaker 9: first time you were on the show as a band,

22:32 Speaker 9: you guys played this and really really great tracks, so

22:36 Speaker 9: thank you.

22:36 Speaker 12: Most of the chorus and some of the lyrics actually

22:39 Speaker 12: come from her journals. She was an amazing journalist. I

22:42 Speaker 12: remember as she was out there, we were getting journal

22:44 Speaker 12: entries from her emailed almost every day to sort of

22:46 Speaker 12: follow her progress. And after her passing, Alan Rickman Snape

22:50 Speaker 12: actually took her journals and turned them into a play.

22:55 Speaker 12: And that play actually played on Broadway and then oh

22:58 Speaker 12: kind of got kicked off of Broadway, and we saw

23:01 Speaker 12: it in Boston and we saw it in Long Island.

23:05 Speaker 1: And it's an amazing play. It's a woman in play.

23:08 Speaker 12: She's just on stage, just essentially sharing her journal with

23:13 Speaker 12: the audience over the course of almost two hours.

23:15 Speaker 1: Wow.

23:16 Speaker 12: Very moving story. If you've got some time to look

23:18 Speaker 12: up Rachel Corey. It's not a happy tale, but it's

23:23 Speaker 12: a it's a powerful it's a powerful simple indeed.

23:26 Speaker 1: And so this is sort of my take.

23:29 Speaker 12: I dug into her journals really deep, and I sang

23:31 Speaker 12: it in the first person, trying to really be representative

23:34 Speaker 12: of first story.
